Have you seen any fuel station selling bio fuel in this country? If we want people to stop using oil the first step would be to provide an alternative rather than expect every single person to buy a new car at horrific consequences to the environment. 50% of the pollution caused by an EV is created during construction so the current plan is an extremely damaging way forward. To use current vehicles with biofuels would seriously reduce the damage to the environment as opposed to constructing millions of new vehicles.

It's insane to allow anything else. The barricade might be frustrating and annoying but that doesn't change the risk. Have you seen any fuel station selling bio fuel in this country? If we want people to stop using oil the first step would be to provide an alternative rather than expect every single person to buy a new car at horrific consequences to the environment. 50% of the pollution caused by an EV is created during construction so the current plan is an extremely damaging way forward. To use current vehicles with biofuels would seriously reduce the damage to the environment as opposed to constructing millions of new vehicles.

It's insane to allow anything else. The barricade might be frustrating and annoying but that doesn't change the risk. Truthfully any real punishment would be unlikely but that's because we have a blind spot around the seriousness of using vehicles as an extension of ourselves. Most likely a caution plus one for anyone that tried to stop him. Luckily he got through with no one hurt.
