A lot of times we look back on scrapped game footage and think "I would love to have played this game." I think we can all agree the changes to Halo were definitely for the best.
I still think that the mac world master chief armor and guns should be in the game as armor and skins for more halo stuff, not just the armor for halo 2
looking at this makes me wish that Halo Infinite had a mission where you are on one of those "rail tracks" connecting sections of the ring together, maybe like a sort of planetary construction/repair site with a lot of sentinels working on it
Videos like this just make me miss the Bungie of old even more. They made such great games whether it was Halo, Myth, Marathon, Oni, and so on, but they also had tons of bonus videos like this in the special editions of the Halo games that were fun to watch let alone super interesting.
You can still play the Halo Betas to this day. The E3 trailer from 2000 shows a lost level in it. I would love to see a Halo Mod that puts that lost level back into the game.
@@Quality3rr0r LOL it's not that hard, if by "programming AI" you mean using the dev tools and placing AI and firing points, then this can be done today. We have the mod tools and we were just given that exact map and almost all of the in development content that did not make it into final release most of which is seen in this video, and there is more that is still being worked on and going to be released. Soon we will have almost everything ever made and all cut ideas and designs for the community to do with as they please and bring all of this content back to life.

I heard they’re bringing in other studios to work on halo idk anything about the studios tho or how much control they’ll have. 343 legitimately doesn’t know how to make a game but hopefully these studios do. I hope halo will come back one day but I doubt it

See, nobody believes me, but before I owned an xbox (krystal) I first had played a lent xbox with a lent copy, and I swear, I remember being super scared during the silent cartographer when the marines stop following, and I remember such copy being super basic, with super basic dialogues, and sprites, marines that remind me of this exact trailer. But alas, it's as if such copy of halo was never released, so I don't know what the hell I played.

It was all scripted though, apart from being able to walk around the map, someone would have to program the AI in there.
