Thanks for the kind words. If you’re a bow hunter I definitely recommend Africa. I also like concessions that are bow hunting specific. They are usually set up a little better for a bow hunters special needs. That means usually getting close to the game. I have hunted two such places: Bushmen Safaris and Tom Miranda Safaris. I highly recommend both. I have heard good things about Zengala Safaris and Dries Visser but I have never been there. I have killed a lot of hogs and been axis deer hunting twice. Axis deer is one of the more challenging deer species I’ve hunted with a bow. If you’ve been successful on axis you won’t have any trouble in Africa. The aim point is a little different on African game so I recommend a RUclips video called Dries Visser volume 8. It’s a little older video but great illustrations on shooting African game. Good luck

Hi for plains game I use a carbon express that weighs about 500 grains total. The PH I started hunting Africa with really liked the Rage Hypodermic 100 grain. They liked it because it cuts a big hole on entry, not just the exit wound. A lot of times the arrow won't go all the way through some of those African animals so the bigger hole going in provides a better blood trail if it hits the opposite shoulder and does not go through. I like them because they fly exactly like me field tips.
