The Schick Quattro titanium is the best razor for me . I have tried many of the gellitte razors but I always come back to the schick quatro titanium. Nice close shave . Easy and smooth . Great for sensitive skin . Non expensive cartridge.
From the first beginning, I must say this video (like Yours all) is very well presented, it contains very valuable informations, it releaves a lot of things. Well, I'm a very big fan of the CR (cartridge razors) & for sure, these are the best items for shaving. Also, most popular and most used. This video is a real jewell for me & for so many others from the entire world! You did a very good work, many congratulations and my best wishes from Romania with all respect 👍🥇💯🌟❗
Good review and pretty straightforward For people with sensitive skin the Gillette sensor skin guard and the mach 3 works best For men with coarse growth, the Fusion 5 is the best pick
I've been using the proglide razor for many years - now considering moving to the Braun S9 Pro. I wonder whether you've done a review comparing the differences between the best of cartridge razors v electric razors? Thank you!!
Thanks for your comment. I have never done comparisons with these as they are so different (worlds apart). I might put something together at least on the website of the pros and cons of each or rather the advantages and advantages of each type. On the website I have a safety razor vs cartridge razor article and shavette vs safety razor, but nothing comparing electrics with them as yet. Something for me to ponder, thanks.
Thank you! That would be great! The reason for the potential move away from the Proglide cartridges, is the sheer cost over time of replacing the cartridges. I find that each cartridge last, at optimum cutting power - that is once over - head and face - two days. After that the smoothness of the shave declines. The hope is that the Braun S9 plus would firstly provide me with a close and smooth shave, and secondly it would negate the need for me to change cartridges so often. Maybe my hopes are too high:-)
No, I haven't considered a safety razor. Are they cost effective? Is the shave quality equivalent to the Gillette proshield ? Just to let let you know, I have the Braun series 9 pro plus arriving this afternoon. I have 2 days worth of face and head growth so will post update on my opinion of the quality of the shave in due course. Thanks again!
I use a proglide handle with a fusion razor and its very good for me. I used also the R41 for a time with many different blades, but for me cartridge was better so i used this again
Good choices but Id pick the Schick/Wilkinson Sword Hydro 3/5 over the quattro, didnt like the bars on the quattro and its not as comfortable as some of the others. The Hydro is an even milder shave than the Fusion. I get some might be annoyed by the gel resovoir though
Yes. I have used and reviewed (on the website) the Bic Flex. It's quite a good razor, and yeah, the replacements are cheaper than Gillettes. Thanks for sharing with us 👍
Hi, this question is from my husband: Do Fusion 5 blades fits the previous Fusion handles? (He is using a silver handle, very similar to the SkinGuard handle).
Sorry. I'm really not sure as I never used the old one. I know the new ones are compatible with the ProGlide, SkinGuard, and Sheild, but at a guess, I reckon the connector is going to be slightly different on the old style (I could be wrong. The new handle is not too expensive to buy with a few blades.
Ive been asked this before. Shaving against the grain is as close as a shave gets. Are you only getting this with the Fusion 5 or do you get it will all razors?
@@shavingadvisor I've only used fusion 5s for the past 2 years. I suppose my question really is, is it possible to completely remove the 5 o'clock or is it embedded hairs that will always be there? I'm white so not particularly hairy
The other guy I chatted to about this had the same issue, and it did not seem like much could be done. I did mention laser hair removal to him, but I am not sure if that is a great option and if it would remove the 5'o clock shadow. While shaving, you could use a hot towel for pre-shave, but I am not sure that it will help much. I hope you can find a solution, and if not, maybe like me with a balding head, self-acceptance might be required (you're good as you are, bro, with or without your 5'o clock shadow) .
@@shavingadvisorsagacious advice. I worry about my 5 o'clock too but I'm accepting it more as life. Lol I'm tempted to buy that heated razor..it sounds awesome
@XxXHardcoreshredderxXXxxxxxxxx Yeah. Go with your 5oclock shadow (I'm sure it's cool as it is). I just go with the flow of a bald head, and that works for me. The Gillette Heated is a pretty good razor and enjoyable to use if you can relax and take your time. As said, it is luxury that one rather than nessasary. Gave my son a go with a new blade in it, and he thought his shave was like being reborn--a never had type of shave before 🤣🤣 He liked it!
Nah. Shaving Advisor is about supporting all types of guys that shave and whatever tools they prefer. Better for you but not for everyone. However, a lot of guys might just enjoy the switch, and a DE is worth a shot, but if it becomes a hobby - be prepared (it can become an expensive hobby 🤣). Thanks, I have been waiting for a DE user to say something like that. Have a great day 👍 😉 👍
@JosephRocco-mi4cm Yes. Many follow the narrative of the stores that sell safety razors. I use and review all razor types as I know not one size/type fits all. I enjoy and share the enthusiasm of the traditional wet shaving community, but the anti other than safety razor narrative fails to help anyone.
@@shavingadvisor I've been in traditional shaving for seven years and I've spent a lot of money on dozens of DE, brushes, soaps until I tried fusion 5 and skinguard for the first time by randomly watching this channel. Now I have seen the real light and I thank this channel for that! I don't come buck to DE again for sure!

Thanks for sharing that. I don't get much feedback on the Schick Titanium and know it's a decent razor for the right guy and right face. Thanks again!

@MDQC71 If you are looking at saving money, then the cheapest route is a safety razor. Have you considered safety razors?

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing your experience. Have a great ending on 2024 👍
Have you tested the BIC Flex 5? It's got very sharp blades, and much cheaper initial buy as well as refills than all these.
Yes. I have used and reviewed (on the website) the Bic Flex. It's quite a good razor, and yeah, the replacements are cheaper than Gillettes. Thanks for sharing with us 👍
Have you ever tested the compatible replacement cartridges you can get from places like Temu?
I have never tried them. I am not that interested in cheaper copies and stick with the brands that make them. Each to their own, though 👍
So which one is the best out of those?
Depends on your needs? Best for sensitive skin, best value, etc.? It's all in the video. Thanks
Test Wilkinson Henry Nock
Will look that up. Thanks ;)

Throw the lot in the bin and switch to a double edge (DE) razor. Better shave at a lower cost.
