For one of the floors you should do it filled with things your brother enjoyed doing while you guys were growing up. Just another way to remember him in the tower now that you are able to give it an interior.
I love the design for version three of the Shmew tower, can't wait to see it fully furnished in the future as well. Also it's great to see that your two boys are enjoying the Lego hobby just as much as you are.
I was lucky, those were in a PAB bin one day and I thought they would add some good texture. However they have no clutch, which makes the build a little weak.
Really love the tribute to your brother. Like another comment I saw, should also dedicate a floor to some of the things y’all like doing together growing up. Really cool build
Really awesome build, and cool that it is so tall, almost as tall as Jimmy. Look forward to see how you build the elevator and what it will look like once everything is done around it. Hope your trains have room to pass, looked like the building was pretty close to the railroad tracks.
Great job on the tower. It is a real eye catching statement piece for your city. I also like how you went through your process of obtaining the pieces.
If you antennas you could clamp it to the tower or make and antenna tower. I love the building it’s absolutely amazing a huge stand out and much better then the last two.
WOW the first thing in my mind impressive, Absolutely. For shure it takes attention. I'll hope there is a plan for some inside decoration. It would be nice to see some minifigure live in it. But all in all well done family collaboration
Love the building and the dedication! Any chance you could do another video talking about scale? I can never figure out how high to make each level. For houses or skyscrapers!
@@alexnunes thank you sir! My Fiance and I want to remodel a house. So I thought it would be fun to build a LEGO Moc of the house. Then I started trying to do it and its HARD! lol
For the next one of this I think you should make it bigger so that you can add more buildings and skyscrapers that can not touch the ceiling like Shmew tower.
I'm having window envy again. :P I think I've got like 2 of those 1x2x5 trans-blue parts. I've been building for 20 years, and only just now made my first building with a full set of matching windows that looks like a normal building, and that's only 3 floors tall, and with windows on just one side. I've also found that when I'm making a building, I have to do the interior details for each floor/room as I go, or I'll never get around to it. I really like the new building design though, very cool! And having it at an angle like that.. Is there no way to actually secure it to the ground? Maybe using a few of those 2x2 spinner plates? Remember that a baseplate sitting on top of bare studs is the same exact height as a plate!
Amazing! What a skyscraper! Now looking forward to the elevator and interior. Another way to go about with Mocs (maybe not this size but general buildings) is designing and ordering floor by floor interior and exterior. It prolongs the entire building process and allows süening more as you invest a little bit in it each month and keeps the fun going over a couple of months (at least that works well for me). But it is a good feeling knowing an experienced Lego Moc builder like you notices in the midst of a build that you miscalculated parts. Happpens to me all the time. 😂
Great suggestion for sure. I am going to take a nice slow approach to make sure I am doing a good job on each floor, but I am a very impatient person. haha! Thanks!
haha, I use Excel for city layout but not for designing the actual building! lol FYI: the Studio program is fairly intuitive if you have any CAD experience and want to try it out. I also prefer trial-and-error building, but my extra piece collection is super small, so I resort to digital with MOCs (I do trial-and-error for alt builds tho).
Wow, outstanding build, Alex, and your son was a huge help! Quick question, do you have a video showcasing the building 2 sites to the right? The tall one with the flower boxes? I'd love to see more of how you built that one. Thanks!
