last year i gave somebody a quote to do a hogwire fence in their backyard...roughly $6k. They hired me for a couple other projects but not the hogwire fence and had a less expensive person do it. When i came back to work on a different project there, the hogwire fence had been done staple-style and my client hated it. In my head i was saying "welp....you coulda hired me!" 🤣
Beautiful addition to any backyard or front yard improvement project. Simple yet elegant. Well done Team (because we all know she helped you and we must give credit where credit is due)
thanks so much! i've done a couple fence projects like this for clients/customers and my wife and i are thinking about doing one at our house too. We'll see, haha! But yeah, my wife is always involved somehow, usually behind the scenes but I couldn't do it without her!🙌🏻
@@stuffsethmakes We are very blessed with our wives. Mine has a brilliant mind for design, then passes the ball to me to make it happen. I've learned "I don't have to get it (understand) I just have to get it (build it). Keep up the good work.
Beautifully done! Did you add any finish? I’m starting a similar build for my backyard fence and have been trying to decide on a finish to protect them.
i honestly can't remember if i put anything on this batch. I have used a basic product like Thompsons water seal on other projects. Also, I've used Penofin for a redwood fence I built a couple years ago...it's pretty oily (which is good) and gives it some nice deep color. You could also go with spar marine varnish if you wanted something that is pretty durable and actually dries, although it MIGHT only come in a gloss sheen, but after a couple coats you can lightly scuff sand with 320grit or the gray 3M synthetic steel wool pads to dull down the sheen. Hope this helps! 🙌🏻
Love the hanging hand 😂
Great reminder!!!
This is the right way to do hogwire panels! I can’t stand when ppl tack them with staples revealing ugly whereas this recesses beautifully
