In this video, I evaluate two fishing products that I don't regularly use: (1) the KastKing Copolymer line, and (2) the Z-Man Ned Rig. First five minutes is really tackle talk; fishing comes after that! I hope you folks enjoy it, and don't forget to check out the extra footage on the 2nd Channel (bit.ly/2qvIiGD).
I would like to thank KastKing for sponsoring this video! Support my sponsors to give EPF a boost out there. Check out their products:
    KastKing Copolymer line: amzn.to/2tigd6Z*
    Z-Man ShroomZ Jighead: amzn.to/2J4ycGm*
    Z-Man TRD Trailer, 2.75", Bubblegum: amzn.to/2GHpxLL*
See you folks in two days! *Tight lines and FISH ON!*

I despise copolymer line. I used 50 lb copolymer line for surf fishing and had success with cabezon, but it's awkward when you cast it. It doesn't come off the reel smoothly. I've heard it's bad with tangles, but I honestly didn't experience any loops. However, the memory made it act funky.

Also, the way you care for all of the fish that you catch is admirable. I, for one, fish for food and get extremely upset when people don’t care for the resource that sustains them. Thanks again!

Hey Leo, glad u are trying out copolymer line, I’ve been throwing that line for years it’s the only line I throw I love it ,, I’ve come to hate fluorocarbon and the hassles that come with it,,,, copolymer is great, there are no special knots and not as much conditioning involved,, and it’s super strong

Leo, use that Ned Rig in multi species trips. I’ve found I’ll be bass fishing and end up catching big trout or walleye and even pike on the same set up. Kinda neat to see. Caught a 25” Brown Trout on the Ned Rig last weekend!

There are several good videos on how to extract deep hooked fish. And a tool needed. It would be wise if we all learned this as it unfortunately happens when fishing soft plastics. I enjoy your videos and your spirit.

The original ned rig was used with half of a standard senko. It was a way to utilize senkos that had been damaged from catching fish. The z-man came much later.

I use the bubble gum Z-man TRD's all summer long and I have always caught fish, Rock Bass, Smallmouth, even huge Bluegill. "The Deal" TRD trailers are really good to catch everything!! Sometimes you gotta pry the TRD's out with plyers cuz they inhale them.

Leo , great and fair video . The KastKing Copolymer Line is very good. I do hope you give the same test to the " Berkley , NanoFil " lines and lures I sent to you on 12, July 2020 . I think you will find those ( NanoFil) lines too be on par with the Copolymer line. NanoFil has no stretch at all. Very sensitive and strong. This is older ,so you may not see this tho. Thank you, Tom Daytona Beach,FL. 16, July 2020 .

    • @aaguirre453
      @aaguirre453 6 лет назад

Why did u say "but" like you were going to say that he was opposite of fantastic ("u r fantastic but....") and then you go on and complement his intros. If you were using the word "but" there, what you said should have sounded something like this: "u r fantastic but I do not like your intros". Bad grammar, shame.

your fishing that pretty fast for a ned rig. less hops, more dead sticking and subtle twitches. its a super finesse presentation. if you are fishing it like a craw, grub, or carolina rig and its working, one of those 3 will out produce the ned rig. have fun and thanks for the vids.

Lol yea I'm sure it works fine....
I use braid for literally everything I do since I dont have the room money or rods and reels to use different line for each technique. Works for me still catch just as much fish.
As for NEKO. It's just a worm but the tail sticks up.
Never been in a situation where I needed to switch to a neko rig because fish aren't biting senko, power worm or trick worm lol..

I would never get caught dead using copolymer on a ned rig. Braid is so much more sensitive and Ned rigs are best around Rocky areas, the braid picks up those snags and light bites DRAMATICALLY better. Copolymer could be used for a short leader, but I never Ned rig without braid

brotha i highly recomend if you are not fishing smallmouth waters not to use pink. it is not very natrual. or used in the largemouth bass community. i would say to use something in the style of motor oil, green pumpkin. and in the neds i use the deal. pink for lmb's is only used in the spawn for a visual in sight fishing. now in the smally community. pink is like candy haha.
