During live performance, you can hear Michelle a lot better. Is there anyone out there that is actually seen these guys live? Did they always do short performances like this?
I never saw them live but I read John Phillips autobiography. He stated that they were never on stage longer than an hour. They were notoriously and chronically short on material, especially live arrangements of their music. That’s why they were performing songs at Monterey in mid 1967 primarily from their debut album from early 1966.
