- The R211T - the first New York City Subway car type with open gangways - has officially launched, and Passengers United got a chance to ride it on its first day of service!

It’s good to see the R211T is here now and the C train gets R211s
This train will change the subway forever.
It's good to see that New York City now has the same kind of subway train as Toronto does.
This is The TA’s second set of open gangway cars since the D-Triplex cars.
The greatest thing I see about these new train cars is the police can no longer give you a ticket for walking between the cars.
Now we need these trains on Concourse and B'way

these are not the first Open-gangway trains, the D-Triplex is
Train can only run on local tracks not express due to the design accordion style also it won’t run on e line due to r160 availability they have alot
There are only two express segments of the A route that were mentioned in the memo. As these trains will roll out onto other lines, we’ll see whether there’s a problem with running them on express service in general or not.

Outside of the lousy production value of the video, it's nice to see the new train cars rolling in.
I am a victim of assault. My face was broken and had a gashing wound. A subway dancer using the bars put his leg near my face. I asked him to stop because he could hurt my face. He did not care and challenged me further
I had to cover my wound and feared for my life. Concern is for security and discouraging subway dancers from using the bars as their dance studio
The next concern is they want money fr you and they do so by harassing anyone and claimin racism. Please take into consideration those who have spinal cord issues. Is it comfortable and is it safe for them to ride the subway? Thanks for your consideration. The blue chairs are easy toy vision that is failing me. -Claribel
Indeed they are safe, all r211 car types have on board security cameras.
This design has been in use in other countries for years now. Even certain streetcar systems employ this design, for both street level and underground service. Yet here it is such a big deal. Why? Because we're far behind the curve and trailing everyone else at just about everything. From education, to innovation, modernization, rehabilitation, you name it. Nothing to see here, nothing at all.
Very good video but I’m going to explain something it’s a new design we have try every other country has this type of trains some people don’t understand queens blvd line will not receive r211 cars model A or T only A/C/B/D are confirmed to receive r211 cars no other line
Actually according to a contract I saw, E, F and R trains are most likely getting a R211As not Ts as Queens Blvd has portions of high speed express track.
No queens blvd will not receive r211 was confirmed only A/C/B/D

R211T Gangway can only operate Local tracks like the (C) and (W) Line's not Express tracks according to the style also they won't operate on the (E)/(F) Line's due to the R160A-2's/B's. Same thing with the (G)/(R) Line's that's fully R160A-2/B's. I believe R211T Gangway won't be operating on the (N)/(Q) Line's, but the (N)/(Q) Line's should have R211A's like the (A) Line has on the Express tracks. The (C) & (G) Line's should be operating 10-Cars. 8-Car trains should be on the (J)/(Z) & (L)/(M) Line's only not 8-Car trains on the (C) & (G) Line's.

Why can’t they run on the express track on Xpress lines?
bc usually trains don't have Open-gangways, with Express tracks you can't safety check the gangways incase they split apart so that's why
