Part 3 is one of the few I need to pick up. This re issue looks pretty damn good
I ordered a part 3 and 4 online yesterday. I hope I get the reissue versions. I guess there’s no real way to guarantee that.
Hey Spot I’ve been watching your videos for over pretty much 8 years or so and I love it. You are doing amazing at these. I’ve also been collecting horror figures from NECA since I was 10 and now I’m almost 21. But straight to the point, there’s a third reissue of Jason Voorhees Part 3 which I got my hands on last week. And I must admit it’s great. Please do a review on this one. Love you Spot! I’m a fan from Slovakia btw.

I think the part 6 needs a reissue that hockey mask needs a update
Part 6 has a reissue already, came out last year summer
Yeah the hockey mask they included in all versions looks really cheap. It ruins the look of the figure because everything else looks great on him (in my opinion). I have seen some people even go as far as buying custom masks to put on him.
Mine looks fine. Got it in 2019, no issues.
I can't wait for the upcoming part 7 new blood jason.(my favorite jason look)
They keep pushing the date. That lawsuit reopened with a new lawsuit so they can't release it yet

I'm gonna state the obvious here but on the rerelease they painted the under shirt white (as seen in the movie) where as they failed to do that on the original

Nice re-review there. Spot!! I absolutely pick up the re releases! In some cases the paint job makes vast difference to the figure!! A fine example is the jungle hunter predator! Looks totally different from the previous!!
If you're ordering online, how do you know if you're getting a reissue? Most sites just tend to use the original stock images and I've never seen one specify if it's a reissue.
Depending on the figure and how long ago it was originally released, one tell-tale sign is the cardboard J-hook on the box instead of a plastic one of the original releases. That can be a little trickier with the Jasons though I think...

@@BIGG_BOI_M9 Yes, if the box still has the plastic J-hook then it's the original release. They've long since switched over to cardboard J-hooks, and those are typically the re-releases.

Dam it’s so frustrating with all the different variations they make with some of these figures. When looking online at Amazon it’s hard to tell in the pictures which version it is. I want the re issue one that your showing here but on Amazon in the picture I believe it’s the original one based on the blood spot on his pants. Any idea where I can get the re issue one?
i know this comment was 7 months ago. but if you’re still interested you can find these at youre local comic book stores,action figure and toy stores, or even some malls will carry it.
Great video as always, been watching for years. I missed your review on pt.4 Jason, and not long after bought pt.2,3,4 Jason's for a 2nd time only to realize the brand new paint jobs. I wanted to let you know about them. But should've known you know about it.
Anyway check out pt.2 Jason re release, the unmasked head has a new paint job which is pretty nice.
So what are the lot numbers to tell the difference from the original and the reissue?
He doesn't do a box comparison in this video and I never hear him refer them by anything more than "original" to "reissue" and "new/er" release

i personally don’t enjoy the darker shirt and but it does look more like how part 4 did so it’s still an awesome figure and i think a better paint job.
i also think the head sculpt is wayyyyy better. skin color and the hunch also is more accurate. good re-release.

But In some customer review photos some look like the re issue one while others the original. So I guess there’s no way of knowing you just gotta take a chance when ordering
@@arizona_rockabilly9288 I see them in target all the time I started to double up on J2 J3 J4 J5 and J2009 I got 2 FvJ and u can tell the difference if I come across sum I can pick sum up and sell them cuz I'm still looking for J6 & J7

Where are you getting the reissue to buy
best bet is to check out Entertainment Earth, you can see the stuff thats HOT OFF THE TRUCK and it tells you what date the item went into inventory, best way to know the lot number of the figure,
Where do you order your jason figures from???
Actually for a lot of my NECA figures I like to get them from Entertainment Earth because they show Hot off the Truck dates for when they restock their figures, so you have an idea of what Manufacturing date these were roughly made,

I may consider picking up the re-issued Friday the 13th Part 3 Jason Voorhees figure, despite having the original one that I bought last year. Spending $30-$35 on a NECA re-issued figure is a much easier decision than buying a re-issued Hot Toys 1/6th scale figure that costs, at minimum $240-$250. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate it!
