On a normal use passenger car this is incredibly stupid overkill unless you are doing something special and you are still going to need a sufficient output compressor. On a commercial use semi trailer this scheme is fantastic and we already use such permanently installed systems (Meritor) on large fleets of trailers. These systems work well because they can take air from the semi tractor (power unit).

@@kmg501 as a long time driver, I'm familiar. These are fairly useless for a passenger car doing mall car things. They are nice however for airing down and back up on the trail. Adding a couple pounds isn't what this is for. It's for taking all 4 at the same time from 12psi to 36 psi, or whatever pressures you choose.

@@EverymanOverland Thanks for the reply. I'm curious, have you heard of anyone using such a device in a rally or competition of any kind? I only ask because that is the only thing I can come up with that might justify these. I suppose I am taking a harsh view but the practicality just isn't meshing with me. Anyway, please don't take offense at any of this, offense is not intended.

@kmg501 no I haven't heard of them used in racing. I think I'm that environment tenths of a psi can make a difference. You really need to get a Guage on each tire in that world.
I take zero offense from your comments. These systems, the 4 tire inflation systems and methods for controlling the pressure only make things easier. It's nice when airing up at the end of the trail to be able to do other things. Chat with your friends, make lunch, pack the truck... Whatever. But this is airing up oversize off road tires, not standard size passenger car tires. When I first saw these inflation systems, I though they were dumb. Then I used one. It changed my mind. Necessary? No. Not at all. But nice.

Love your videos, awesome addition to your kit, is it pointless if u have a 10-6 pro bc the compressor does the same thing?

The ten six pro controls airing up, this will control airing up and down. If you already have a pro, and don't have another use for this like shop air, or a power tank, or whatever... I'd save the money and get some screw on type deflators. If you dint have a pro, you could get the regular ten six and this to control up and down...

@@stephbarbershop2518 for sure this is nice to have, but not required at all. I like it, it makes storing up and down easier.
