Vito literally penguin-walked into a one-in-a-billion, best case scenario, dream come true, answer to all of his problems situation, and he gave it all up because he couldn't handle even one honest day's work. Similar to how all it took for Christopher to turn on Adriana was glimpsing what their future might look like as middle class parents at the gas station that day. All these "tough guys" look down their noses at everyone on the outside of organized crime, but the truth is none of them would last a single day being part of a healthy relationship or earning an honest living, or having to actually earn anything for that matter. For every Meadow, there are twenty Tony Sopranos (or Jackie Juniors).
For real, he chances upon a gay friendly, picturesque enclave and finds love and total acceptance from a great guy almost immediately…and he throws it all away because he can’t manage to work like regular folk for one day.
That scene where Tony victim-blames Bobby really shows what a hateful and toxic person he is at this point. Everyone else in the room is even looking at him like "what is he on about?" and Tony doesn't care.
Phil Leotardo was a captain in the Lupertazzi crime family when he was standing trial 20 years prior. Johnny Sack was the boss of the same family. Since Johnny Sack, as the boss, was more deeply involved in the inner-working of all the criminal activities that the family took part in, and was a greater beneficiary, financially, of a wider variety of criminal activities than Phil, he was facing a much longer prison sentence than the 20 years Phil got.
Johns assets were frozen before Ginny sold it therefore technically him buying it is void and I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Ginny committed a crime by doing that but I'm not 100% sure.
So interesting the way they handled Vito's storyline. He got away. He experienced the sort of relationship he'd always wanted. They wouldn't have found him up there. But he couldn't maintain it. Too much work. Too tempting to go back and get money (big money) for sitting around doing nothing.
Janice randomly breaking out into tears from happiness into maybe sadness and saying “nobody knows what’s going on in my head” shows exactly how much like livia she has become. Also made obvious in this episode she is manipulating Bobby into furthering his career just like livia did to Johnny.
Yeah, Chris paid Ginny cash (because she needed the money) and took the car, but it couldn't be legally transferred away from her because her and John's assets were frozen
Revisiting this episode in this reaction made me really think about Vito and for once I do feel sorry for him, talk about a lost soul! He seems to be guilty of just about everything, he's a liar. a cheat, a thief, a murderer and a pervert who doesn.t think twice about doing any of it, it is sad to see someone so far gone. I know the show is full of characters like that but he is among the worst of what the Bible calls a "reprobate" mind.

Angie is more dependent on Tony than Carmela. The characters don’t understand this because they are all users but the audience should see it. Only reason Angie has Pussy’s body shop is because Tony permits it. He needs a body shop to keep his air bag scam going. Angie went from mob wife to mob associate. She’s more dependent on the mob than Carmela is.

Janice was disciplining that kid so he won't turn out like AJ. The kid is already being disrespectful and mouthing off. She wasn't extorting him. She was being a parent. You are so off base. Janice was defending Bobbys hobby to Tony who ridicules it. You clearly werent paying attention. Nobody held a gun to Bobbys head to marry Janice. She didn't drag him down. He was already a mob guy.
