I just got my dad one if these for fathers day to pull water out of a ditch to water his plants. We put a 100' garden hose on it with an on/off throw style valve at the end. A few things I noticed... First, if the pump doesn't sense water flowing through it after about 15 seconds, it shuts itself off. However, when the pump is full of water and the valve is off, and the water is sitting idle, the pump will not shut itself off. (That's a good thing) Just in case anyone was wondering, this pump is not a pressurized auto shutoff. Its strictly on/off. Second, the flow at the outlet on this unit is impressive. It really kicks the water out of there. Now with that being said, it does lose a lot of that pressure over 100'. I would say at our 100' with (I'm guessing) 10' of head lift or so, we are probably getting about 1-2 gallon per minute flow. We also had to get all the air out of the hose before it could even flow 100'. Now, what cool is that it seems to hold prime pretty well. We left it on (and off) for 30 minutes and still came back to flowing water out the throw valve. I actually left it sit off for a week (valve on end of hose closed) and came back and turned it on, and it was not primed all the way. You could hear the water sucking up and down the tube for about 45 seconds and then the water started flowing again. So were were very pleased. Keep in mind that this is a very extreme case of use here. I'm sure if we cut the 100' hose down to 50', we would see improvement. But I just wanted to let people know our experience thus far. I would give this little pump 5 out of 5 stars for what it is, and it's intended use, and probably a good solid 4 stars for what we're doing with it.
@@matt7iron I'm sure it's not recommended, but I've had ours apart and everything seems to be marine grade, and the electronics were sealed. The only thing that would probably not like being outside in the rain would be the battery itself. So, probably not the best idea unless your going to cover it up.
Im a contractor construction guy i love tools and i love my aquarium hobbies im happy i can used tools to clean my aquarium this will be on my check list
Im a commercial plumber. I get calls to repair large water mains. When they break they move a lot of dirt out of their way and fill the hole with water. I just bought this on the way to another break. Saved my ass. It moves a lot of water and you can thread a hose onto the male hose threads on the body. A very good toll. It moves W A T E R very well. It does not like mud at all.
So I wanna have good water pressure for rinsing out long thick hair. I have two Yeti Hopper M30 bags that hold about 5 gallons each . If you put a garden hose sprayer at the other end will it keep pressure WITHOUT STUTTERING? As some pumps will stutter when operated below their rates output .
Made in China by Milwaukee is a good sign. Milwaukee has a physical presence in China overseeing production. China is capable of making finer things. 😊
these pump are so expensive here in nz selling at 379.00/unit in aussie is just 228.00/unit even converted to nz still save about a hundred plus dollars/unit
Got one but it’s not pumping out water, the guy I bought off gave me a small red battery I believe it’s a 2amp you think that can be the problem ? Haven’t tried it with a different battery yet
It should start pumping it right away. If it’s used it might be clogged or something wrong with the pump. Battery shouldn’t be an issue. It would really only affect the run time. Also can depend on the hose length if you are using a long hose for the outlet water.
I’m looking at getting one of these pretty much for the sole purpose of dust suppression on my stihl saw. Does anyone know if when the outlet is limited, ie when it’s goin through the pin hole on the stihl saw, will that effect the pump? If anyone thinks it’s a stupid idea pls let me know 😊
Mellif Tools just came out with one. They make a lot of products to work with Dewalt batteries. Check it out they make good stuff to be sort of a “knockoff” brand
As on now there is no attachment to make the pipe longer. The Tranfer stick his a 15 foot lift capacity. Drain hose, you can add almost a 100 feet of hose and it will still drain at a decent flow.
I was very excited to see this as a possible solution to transferring diesel fuel into equipment but the size of the filter assembly at the end pretty much wiped out that plan as well as the fact Milwaukee doesn’t want you to use it with anything but water. They have another M18 pump that can be used for diesel fuel. Costs a little more though.
Won’t hurt anything. There’s millions of people worldwide that drink from gardening hoses that’s not made for potable water use. The few times it would be used for that task wouldn’t hurt a baby much less anyone else. Probably get worse water out of fountain drink machines than any bad there would be filling a RV tank. @@PhillipBridgesReviews same! I’m wondering if a soft shotgun/rifle case fits just got it in yesterday at work gonna have to measure it and figure something out. A water utility worker here and need it to be protected in my work truck
I think this tool would be so useful I just wish the aluminum stick was made of something flexible because I need to pump water out of a crook underneath mobile homes
Use a 12v bilge pump. Attach one to whatever combination of pipe/hose works best for you, can even use a 12v power tool battery to power it. Battery adapters (brand-to-brand or battery-to-wire) can be found even on ebay.

Nice video. We switched to Milwaukee about 7 years ago and have never looked backed. Great products!

Could I have sprayer at the end of the hose so I can control the outflow of water ?
Can it be ran without the filter? I wanna use this with my fuel bottles but that filter probably won’t fit into the bottle.

I’ve noticed in Europe they package these pump sticks in cardboard boxes instead of the plastic package

Pretty cool.
I wonder if I could use this with salt water. This would be amazing for emptying out all the dingys at the boatyard
Does this have enough power to handle small gravels or does it screen them out?
Just bought one, can’t wait to use it👍

Will it transfer propylene glycol
I wish I watched this before unscrewing the full head. O-ring also came off in the process. No way to get a new one on now
How does it do when the water gets low? How much of the end has to be submerged for it to work?
Need to have about a half inch of water for it to suck.
Is there a DeWalt version of this? I already have a bunch of DeWalt batteries.

Great tool for irrigation techs
Great review!! Short, sweet and to the point. I'm getting one!!
Great review man! Thank you for showing it in action!
Where did you get the term Hydro Pass filter, is it from them? For the sake of simplicity can we please just call it a strainer???
Hydro Pass filter sounds more sophisticated though 🤣. Yes,Hydro pass is Milwaukee’s words.
@@PhillipBridgesReviews Ok, I wouldn't repeat that lol
Thank you
can you add a hose or get a longer pipe on it ? how much lift if looking to pump out old fort/ mine

Did they say anything about the type of seals used. Can it be used to transfer diesel or gas?
Milwaukee states it is not to be used with transferring fuel or oils.

Is there any way to make it shorter?
There is not. Sorry
hi i know its meant for water but can this be used with gas?
It states on the unit, not to be used on gas or any other combustible liquids.

Seem like a tool I'd need
I wasn’t to sure about the pump until I used it. It’s just awesome.
Does it have a lock button so you don’t have to hold down the trigger
No trigger, it has an on/off switch
Will this work to pump water through a 50 foot hose to water my food plot
It will. You will lose some flow rate though.
Would it go with milk?
Probably safer than drinking the water that’s mixed with the syrup in fountain drink machines
Are the threads plastic?
Aluminum on the shaft

How wide is the filter head
3.6 inches
Can you use this to transfer fuel
Negative. It state on the unit that it is not made to transfer flammable liquids.

can it pump deisle fuel?
“Non flammable liquids” only.

China.
How to remove the battery?
The battery is on top. It just pulls out with the pinch clips from the M12 battery. 👍🏻
Could be a lightsaber.. lol
I got in in a long cardboard box
From what I heard. If over in Europe they come in a cardboard box. It’s more environmentally friendly than plastic.

Yes it would work if you had to fill something up.
