- passionmusictour.com/ - Recuerdos de la Alhambra, by Francisco Tarrega. Jim studied for several years with Maestro Andres Segovia. The guitar Jim is playing was built by himself and was recorded directly from the Baggs pickup via wireless transmitter and a live performance mic in the hall. This is because of the number of children and noise in the theater. It seemed to be the best way to accomplish a good recording, however, it does often sound like you are directly next to the guitar. Also hear this great piece by Pepe Romaro, Christopher Parkening, John Williams, and Julian Bream.

First time I heard this song, it brought tears to my eyes. I was in the middle of school!
You and me both, sister! It is so full of gentle regret in the first half, yet brimming with acceptance and love in the second ‘movement’. Have you heard Ana Vidovic play it? Once you do you’ll know the music you hope to hear the angels play as you walk into heaven.
IMO, Kaori Muraji plays this piece _much_ better. She's on RUclips - look her up.
She gets that repeating note much smoother.

I feel this is the best version on RUclips. The tremolo is mesmorisingly even, complimented by fantastic crescendos and his face is not contorted unlike many other of the musicians. A pleasure to listen and watch.

어렸을적 공영방송 저녁일기예보시간에 배경음악으로 이곡을 듣고는 숨이막힐듯, 그 아름다움에 세상이잠시 멈춘듯한 느낌을 받았었는데, 곡명을알수도없었고 일부러 들을수도없어서 저녁시간마다 일기예보시간을 그렇게도 기다렸었어요. 영혼이맑아지고 세상이온통아름다움으로 물드는것 같은, 가슴 저 아래로부터 행복과 아련함이동시에 차오르는벅찬 감동이 어린 나를 깨웠는데, 56세인 이제서야 갑니다.
2020년4월 그라나다, 알함브라궁전에 가보고, 거기서 이 음악을들어보겠어요. 수많은 연주곡을 들었지만, 이 분, JIM Greeninger 님, 아름다운 연주에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 고맙습니다.

When I closed my eyes, I can see Segovia playing. Mr. Greeninger is the only one that can capture the essence of the Recuerdos like the Maestro, many years of studying with the Maestro is the results. Well done Jim.

Jim, this is truly beautiful, your playing touched my soul. I could hear several elements in your playing that my classical guitar teacher discusses with me. I can see how much you love and respect this music when you play and it is lovely to hear someone who creates a beautiful warm tone and is not focused on breaking speed records when they play.

My teacher played this in front me and i will always remember the feeling i felt then.. i remember when i first heard this i promised to myself i will learn guitar till i can play this.
Now i have stopped my lessons and i still listen to this and makes me feel to go and start guitar again..

He really master's this music. I've heard many play it, but this is my favorite.
This is the best tremolo I ever heard. And I´m a big fan of Segovia...
I keep this as my preferred version and every once in a while return to keep my playing real.

I heard this at my dads side as a very young boy it has always resonated with me, one of the best pieces of music ever
I play the violin, which mostly involves one note at a time. Your playing of the guitar gives me goosebumps it is so very beautiful. I can't imagine all those notes with your right hand doing all that movement. A double stop in violin playing is considered kind of amazing (if it's played in tune)---but this... I have no words. You are absolutely brilliant!
