    i've tried several cica products to no avail but i swear the skin1004 cica products are magical they're one of the few that actually do calm the skin and got rid of texture on my skin.. thank you for this video! makes me want to try the other products you've mentioned

    Should I be embarrassed that I have 9 out of 10 of these products? Lol, I'm not! I think I buy almost everything you recommend. I agree that centella is really great for for soothing the skin, especially from tretinoin irritation. My favorites are probably the Cosrx toner, Purito cream, and Cicaplast. I just received the Skin1004 toner, I'm looking forward to trying it for gentle exfoliation. Thank you for always creating fabulous content, Kelly!

    I bought the COSRX cica cream a while back and have been using it on/off ever since. For my skin personally I have found that if i have just shaved or gotten a facial with exfoliation treatment, the cica cream can actually sting! So that prompts me to only use the cream when my barrier is 100% chilling and fine. I'm finishing it up as a standalone moisturizer or I'll even mix it in with other basic/calming creams or serums so I can finish the products a bit faster! I am interested in trying the toner and serum from this line but not sure if they are going to have the same effect on my skin as the cream. We'll have to see! In the mean time I have bought the La Roche Posay Cicaplast balm and I find that it is extremely soothing anywhere I apply it, no matter the skin state. xo love the video! :)

    So interesting how people's skin react differently to products. I'm struggling through a bottle of the Cosrx toner, I hate it. It's only bareable because I'm pairing it with their Ceramide mist. I think Cosrx is definately more suited to oily & acne prone skin vs my sensitive leaning to dry skin. Or maybe I just don't like Cica!

    I love the Cosrx Cica line. It’s helping me so much. Another useful cica product from Cosrx is the Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule. With it, my skin can tolerate l-ascorbic acid (10%) a couple of times a week. The Purito products tend to sting my skin, and I don’t understand why. The ingredients are what I want and need. The stinging baffles me. The LRP Cicaplast is so helpful, too. It isn’t occlusive enough for my final moisturizer, but it calms my angry skin effectively.
    I want to thank you for introducing centella to me. I’ve struggled with hyper sensitive, extremely reactive skin all my life. Centella is the second ingredient that has made a significant difference in the comfort of my skin. The other is pinus pinaster (aka, Pycnogenol). The two combined in one product makes the Cosrx products my favorites for soothing.

Iv dicided to buy the toner to this cream because it really seems to pack a great soothing punch 👊 my skin loves it .anything that can stand up to powerful retin a is worth haveing in your skincare routine ✨️ 👌

    Great picks! The Benton mask is also my favourite sheet mask. I also like the Elizavecca Centella essence. Have you tried it?
    The Skin 1004 toner destroyed my skin due to the PHA in it. Afterwards, many wrote in the comments of my Instagram post that it had the same effect in them. Just after one use.
    I have since had the same effect with many products that had the "gentle" exfoliating effect in them.

      @@KellyDriscoll Yes! That´s a thing to remember. I can use neat essential oils on my skin, I have no issues with Tret around the eyes but if I use niacinamide or PHA, my skin peels and gets irritated. That doesn´t mean a product is bad, it means that it doesn´t work for me.

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  10 месяцев назад +1

      You will want to continue to use to keep up results, exfoliation should be performed on a consistent basis to keep the dead skin cells shedding, if you stop they will just build up on your skin and cause issues.

      Couldn't disagree more, does wonders for my skin and seems like it holds true for a lot of other people too. It seems a bit much to say something is overhyped just because you happen to be in the minority for whom it did not work.

    • @mignonalverson655
      @mignonalverson655 2 года назад

      @@morgianasartre6709 You might be right. This product is advertised as helping the skin barrier and is eczema and rosacea friendly. I couldn't disagree more. I think the formula should have been designed to be thinner and easier to rub in. Usually someone with rosacea can't tolerate a thick cream. It creates flares on most people with rosacea. It's also hard to rub in. Too much friction can also create a rosacea flare. I think if it was tweaked a bit it might work for me. LRP advertises their products to be very gentle. Every single product from them has burned my face. Therefore, for me it's overrated. For the majority more than likely not. It's too bad cause I really want my face to get along with their products. I'm glad it works for you.
