If you are planning on making these for the first time, halve the recipe to do a test batch first. It looks so easy. But none of them turned out right. They were slimy and sticky and like glue. Maybe it would have helped if I knew how long to cook them or what temperature to use. I dislike that I wasted 2 cups of flour on this recipe.

But by some miracle, most of them still kept a portion of the filling inside the springroll, so it was more or less "edible" (i was starving, lol!). (EDIT: make them THIN, or else they will get way too greasy...)

I made this and the spring rolls turned out amazing! The dough was better than in a chinese restaurant, super crisp, it even cracked when I bit into it! It was superb! Thank you. :)

Corn flour is commonly more coarse than all purpose flour and you can make dough (for arepas, tortillas, tamales, etc) or polenta with it, the color can vary from bright yellow to ivory. Corn starch is a lot finer, even more than all purpose flour, and it's stark white, it easily dissolves in water, is mostly used to thicken sauces but it also gives structure and softness to other doughs when combined with all purpose flour

You can use a dab of the batter to seal the spring rolls. Or egg.
