I hope I pronounced Rhasspy properly!
Yes please show how you make it set it up and use it, I'm tempted but would love a full step by step instructions and comparisons between it and Alexa or google
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you so much for this introduction ! I’d definitely love to see how to set it up.
Thanks Chris!
Yes, I would love to see you implement this system.
Nice one Chris!
Love to see how it’s setup, especially doing it with docker or docker compose. Thanks for the video!
Good mention Broton about docker!
I second that!
Thanks for this great introduction. Hope to see more in the future!
Thanks Marco!
Very interested in seeing more on Rhasspy!
Cool Rick !
Great video! It's nice to have these "What is it" videos. Well done!
Thank buddy!!! How are you? I’ve seen your new merch!
@@SmartHomeMakers not bad! Working on a lot of WLED stuff. How about you?
I have been trying to get this working in my Docker install of Home Assistant and have made a lot of progress. My problem is figuring out how to get the sensor or switch information back to HA to work. I am sure there is something wrong with my Rhasspy setup, just not figured it out. Rhasspy does call the Intent and HA receives it, but from there .... well, I am lost. So I for one would love to see you make some videos on it.
Joe
I think i really want that. A few pi pico w boards around the house with a mic and speaker attached, this software on it, it would be great… more info from you would be great.
Awesome Willem!
Looking forward to the installation video!
Thanks Andrei!
The software is great. Customized intents & automations are really powerful.
However to get a good experience, the hardware needs to be good (microphone array with echo & noise cancellation).
100% agree with you Micheal!
What microphone do you reccomend?
Awesome chillaxed video.
Keep it up ;)
Thanks 😁 Abdo!
I wish there was a way to use my Google Home/Alexa hardware for this. Just wipe them and use the hardware. Would be so handy as they're cheap.
Just another noob checking in today, I want to set everything for HA as a local service, here in Mexico we get a lot of drops and really slow speeds so local is the best option.
Hi Rodney! If you want to me an installer and starting from scratch would recommend checking out my courses platform courses.leonardosmarthomemakers.com
Very good video!! Really nice explanation, thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Jose!
this will be nice, really useful for a smart home...
I agree Robert!
i want to see the full installation demonstration of this feature of local voice assistant
Thanks Aamir!
Sounds like a great solution for local control.
it does John! great weekend project!
Yes, please! Pretty please!
Thanks Rudi!
Thanks for the video. I will following closely.
Cheers 🇦🇺🍺
Cheers buddy !
Yes ok ase go for it :)
Trying to find a guide for the Raspberry Pi 4 + Rhasspy more than 2 months now.. a lot of difficulties on the way.
Did you manage to find something ?
@@SmartHomeMakers unfortunately no, I managed to connect the rpi4 with the docker following the documentation(even though there were a lot of missing steps) with mosquito but when I tried to communicate the docker with the rhasspy localhost there were a lot of issues. I abandoned the project when I found a post which was the official creator of Rhasspy saying that he will semi-abandon the Rhasspy because he is going to an other company. Don't remember exactly where to work with something else similar there. I think picroft?
Seems like every video I have watched on this skips the install. No idea how to get to the screen you are showing. I do have it installed under integrations in HA, but lost from there.
Sorry David! Haven’t done a full install yet, was reading the documentation !
until there will be some small cheap but nice looking hardware to buy couple to house - this is no future :(
I just want to plug 2-3 speakers inside house and fordet, not to buy some microfon for rpi :(
Interesting project, a tutorial would be very interesting.
thanks for watching!
I've tried Rhasepy with HA but really had issues with it understand me
Very interesting Jememy could that be because of the mic?
@@SmartHomeMakers Nope not a mic issue as i'm using a Jabra SPEAK 510+ (conference speaker mic) and it was one of the recommendations for Rhasepy i think could be a accent issue. I'm Australian
Not fully offline for other languages than English
Thanks Chris for pointing this out!
Please make install video
Will do Ben !
@@SmartHomeMakers Thanks Bro
Not impressed so far, i'm afraid.
Needs some sort of basic leaf device -something sub-£50 with a built in speaker, decent mic, and wake word spotting.
It also needs to abandon the legacy use of mqtt and move into this century with a decent web services architecture. I won't be installing anything of this ilk while it requires mqtt.
Thanks Mike for your input!
