Since 1903, the Busch family of Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company has owned Grant’s Farm. Originally a private residence and deer park for the Busch Family, Grant's Farm has been an animal reserve since 1954. The 273-acres on which the Busch Family Estate at Grant's Farm stands was named for the man who originally owned and farmed it. The same man who would become a Civil War hero and President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant.
