He said that other kids laughed at him at the bus stop and called him thick, which means they called him stupid.
In terms of trafficking, it's common enough for employers to do a "Modern day slavery" training course.

Its not about enjoying being shocked, its about the shock being the most effective and the people making the adverts want them to be as effective as possible no matter if it is uncomfortable for us to watch

I liked these a lot, the last one is so important... No, no one is asking us to give the last bit of our paycheck to charity, or spend our weekends volunteering, but they are asking us to at least be grateful for what we have, or don't have... It's easy to forget in our every day struggles that we have already won the lottery, because just being born in the west is such an unbelievable privilege.
*So the next time you are annoyed at the gas prices, spare a thought for "Maria"...*

Do be aware that the worse ones are often shown outside of kids tv times or sometimes post-9pm. Some may also be cinema ads, which tend to be worse if the film is rated high enough.

Most were on everyday tv, though some may be after watershed aka 9pm and aimed just for adults. There are so many really good psa and charity adverts that i remember so clearly from being a child til now. Some of the drive safe ones especially. The concept is awareness and awareness to incite action so even as a child we know things are important even if we are too young to do anything ourselves. My niece when she was five had her first pocket money and gave it to a charity voluntarily without prompting. We know so we do or we dont do. Adults and kids

alot of this stuff would be on TV after 9pm, we have what we call the watershed, after the watershed 9pm, more adukt type of stuff can be put on.

Ive a debilitating neurological disease, it is that intense and thatd why the advert is so intense, its trying to convey to the audience that overwhelming all encompassing awfulness that strips you of who you were

Help people as much as we can, in whatever way.
Decency, humanity, whether faith based or not.
    Just good people.
    We can only try.

We British don't hold back our serious and important information adverts, we make you sit up take notice and make it as realistic as possible. They are meant to be tough to look at but throughout over 2,000 years of history we have gone through a lot and its made us as a people very tough so we can watch these easily. I suppose that if you are American it would be hard to watch these adverts as Americans have been bought up with a protective bubble that doesn't allow the real world in. 💂‍♂️💂‍♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦

You seem to be missing the point of these ads, focusing more of aesthetics and your own moral code than the messages nehind these ads.
Problem with bringing your religious values into your reactions is that these ads are not specific to any faith. The Barnados ad with the guy who’s story is told in reverse - you made it all about your religious beliefs when it had literally nothing to do with faith at all. Barnados is about supporting kids from neglectful/abusive situations. The kids could come from any faith background or none at all, which is why Barnados isn’t about pontificating and acting like a missionary. It’s focused on social and mental wellbeing.

All a child really needs is support love and understanding religion has absolutely nothing to do with it

The THINK motorcycle one isnt anti motorcycle but drive carefully/dont speed. There are many great THINK driving ads for cars too that are really effective e.g. a wear a seatbelt where the kid kills his mum when they crash as is sitting behind her and not wearing a seatbelt even though she is wearing one she gets killed. Theres loads though

They shock the message into you, so it actually makes you stop and think about what you've just seen. They're shown after the watershed (9pm), so there is a less chance thay young kids will see them. The Rotherham thing was more about radical Muslim grooming gangs, they only really went after underage white girls.
Americans reacting to British channels can get a fair few subscribers, also watch time. Have a look at how they do it, or ask them for some advice on doing it. Taffe316, bxkid7, after work reactions, the eclectic beard, JT reacts, Amanda Rea, embrace the suck 21 and plenty more. A few have gotten their silver play button.

Sure, a religious faith community can help kids who are experiencing any form of domestic abuse or violence.
However, if you grew up as an indigenous person in the US or Canada and were put into the care of a religious community by the state, the reality was that the religious community itself was the perpetrator of abuse and violence. The leaders in many faith communities (priests, ministers, etc.) are often the abusers themselves.
Same for unmarried pregnant women in Ireland who became virtually slave labour for the Church (and whose children were forcibly taken away from them). And these days in the US, what protection do faith communities offer to children who don't conform a certain view of sexual orientation?
So, theoretically I agree that faith communities could be a safe harbour. But realistically, these days it seems that faith communities are more part of the problem than any kind of help.

Child out of wedlock doesnt equate to abuse. This boy was being hit by his step dad and grew up very troubled but Bernardos helped the boy to become a healthy adult with a positive relationship with his child which is the break in the cycle. The video just shows the mans journey in reverse. Even if you are against having children out of wedlock it is not equivalent to child abuse

With the trafficing, all you can do, is report to police, anything that looks very suspicious. I know that much of it is hidden away, but occaisonally victims manage to show themselves in some way, sometimes look scared or desparate. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Why can Americans so blasé about 40,000 plus gun violence deaths a year yet so upset by our little adverts? It confounds most people outside the US are so hardened to shootings but so squeamish about an advert 😮

The if London was Syria one would never happen over here we had the blitz during ww2 and it will never happen again cause we got trident nuclear deterrent (nukes) so if anyone tried. You know what would happen

That wasn’t the point of the ad. It was to encourage compassion for the children trapped in war zones now. 🤨

Your lack of sympathy astounds me. Out of wedlock and smoking worse than child abuse? I’m a fellow Christian, and I just don’t get it.

I don’t think the amount is what is important . One child dying because of fire is way too much.
