I Built this beautiful wooden tool box from the cherry wood that I milled on my sawmill I designed it with a removable tray If you have any questions hit me up in the comments
Nice job. Basic, functional, & looks good. Nice to see someone else build all the sides together then cut off the lid- I learned that from my father when I was young... Just one thing- the router is dangerous. Always clamp the board to the work table. Never try to hold it with your hands. If the router bit catches and throws the board unexpectedly, your hand could be severely injured.
This was a great job and at the same time simple and functional. The question that I have is if it is difficult to cut the lid with the top attached already and what is the reason if any that it was done. Compliments for a work well done!
Nice box. This one looks great. I am wondering what if we don’t glue the top side i.e. keep the top open after fixing 5 sides and just use the top (6th) side as lid / top cover? Will it not work? Or is it useful to first close all six sides and then cut the top side again?
I just seeing the cut off the glued top 1inch. And then put hinges on it. Interesting. I still looking for the right feel for my box. Nothing on the out sides. Just lift the top with it without handle. Just not sure.
Thank you for helping this old man learn something new. I truly appreciate it.
Anytime and thank you for watching

Thank you and thank you for the safety tip I'll keep that in mind 🙂
@@jlistdiy You can get a rubber material that is good for routing -- the items are very unlikely to move.
@@IantheWoodcraftsman excellent idea thank you
The safety first
Superb ❤❤❤

Thank you and I find it alot easier to cut with the lid attached
Nice job, and done without fancy joinery -- dovetails, mitres etc. Well done!
Thank you

Sorry for the late response I would worry about the top possibly warping without the extra support
@@jlistdiy Thanks Jamie.. I understand the significance now

I'm also in the process of doing another design just not sure what it's gonna be
I wish i was this creative😔
You be surprised what you could do if you give it a try
This was a great project. I've subscribed. Where are you getting the handles?
Thank you , I found the handles on Amazon
I used to do that kind of stuff when I was 14, but if you are happy with what you do, that's the most important.
Lol why you watching it then? 😂
You must be 15 by now!
Sencillo hacerla, lo que no es sencillo es conseguir la herramienta para hacerla de forma sencilla
I took me a very long time to collect the tools to make these projects easier
cool, what are the measurements ? Is it plywood wood ?
24 inch wide 10 inch tall and 10 inch deep and I used regular wood that I cut down and milled on my sawmill the wood type is cherry
If you would have just used dowels on the top you wouldn't have cut the steel screws and dull your miter saw blade.
Great job thx for sharing enjoyed it
Thank you
Nice box. Wouldn't it be safer if you lowered the blade?
Thank you and yes it would be safer
Hello what is the name of the wood you used please.. I'm doing the same toolbox for my school project
Cherry wood
SEGUN MI OPINION LAS BISAGRAS NO SERVIRIAN COMO LAS COLOCO XQ CON UN DESTORNILLADOR SE SACA Y SE LLEVA LAS HERRAMIENTAS DEL RESTO TODO BIEN SALUDOS
Can you pls tell me the size of this toolbox?
Absolutely, the measurements are 24 inch wide 10 inch deep and 10 inch tall

Hola. Cómo hago una cajitacomo la tuya
I want to buy this in India... what can I do
What size is this in feet in length and width let me know please as I’m going to try and make a 4ft x 3ft x 3ft let me know what you think please
This one is 24 inch wide 10 inch tall and 10 inch deep you can build whatever size that you need so a 4x3x3 would work very nicely
Can you send me this tool box please 😅I am from India.
How big is it
That’s what she said. 😂
Nice tool box. What was the oil used to finish?
