I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner student who is about to start my post-graduation job search. I found this video to be very helpful in understanding the different types of jobs that are available to me. I am also grateful for your advice on how to find a job in this field. I will definitely be using this video as a resource as I begin my job search.

Thank you SO much for this video! I’m in my second quarter for my PMHNP at Walden and read WAY too many Reddit posts about Walden and what a “diploma mill” it is. As someone who graduated with a 3.95 with my BSN from University of Washington, I could have chosen other schooling options but this one fit my schedule and is so flexible that I chose Walden. While I agree much of my learning is done on my own, rather than from the assignments, but I had to do the same things in my nursing program knowing I wanted to do psych nursing. I SO appreciate your enthusiasm and your videos have definitely helped me prepare for my next classes!

Congratulations again! Did I tell you that I have 2 jobs lined up? I hate that people have that concept that Walden students don't get jobs... look at us! Breaking the stereotype 🙌🏾

I am about to finish my first quarter of clinical for Psych NP, and I have to say that it was extremely hard to find a therapist for the second quarter clinical here in NC Charlotte area, which I'm starting in 3 weeks. So far, I have a 4.0 GPA no issues with Walden. Fully online is the way to go. I have a full-time job (night shift), two kids, and a wife (I'm a male). So this is very doable.

Can I ask your nursing experiences? Have you worked as a psych nurse? If you did, for how long?
