- Are you going to paint a wall? Or maybe rearrange your furniture?
Putting a slice of potato under each leg of the furniture will reduce the friction, and thus making it much easier to move the furniture around. Be aware that you might have to change the potatoeslides if you let it stay for too long.
Well mate it works like magic and never thought life could be this easy ( just needed new perspective) thanks to you !!! Life saver , moved heavy piano and mirror tables in seconds
Sondre THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for sharing this awesome tip/technique that works really well. I have several physical problems including arthritis in my back; even so, me and my 3 y/o were easily able to push a rather heavy wooden armoire across the house without causing any damage to it or the hardwood floors. My son was really happy to "help" mommy move furniture.
EXCELLENT! I'm surprised the potato doesn't smush down or break apart with that weight on it AND then pushing too, but I'm gonna try it!
Thanks.
This is honestly amazing. At first we thought this was a joke but we just moved two enormous wardrobes with the strength of a badly underfed field mouse. Amazing!
DAMNN!!!! THIS WORKED LIKE A CHARM on my marble floor. Just moved a cupboard.
It would help if there are more than one person , because if the slices are not even size smaller ones slips and u wud need to insert it again. I did it alone because I was sceptical that it would work so i did it alone in the morning before my wife wakes up and finds another opportunity to call me an idiot again. But trust me try it out..the weight freaken glides ........ I even made a video when it worked to prove to my wife it wasn't some dwarfs that helped me. :)
Lmao bro
Just moved an antique upright piano on our hardwood floor. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip. Oh, btw: we recommend using at least a 3/8” slice and it should be uniform in thickness or it will not be as effective. Cheers!
Yes, it worked for me, completely yes, moved our heavy central island.
We did uplift with the help of car jack and placed potato underneath the feet of island.and moved very easily.
Clever, but I have used scraps of carpet turned upside down. It works just as well, and you can store the carpet pieces in a zip-lock bag for the next move.
Shirlee Severs I don't have carpet
But i have potato..
ok i have a question, will it work with furniture that have flat surface (nolegs) or the patato will smack down ???
You are a friggin genius! Why are Europeans always so smart? Anyway, thank you! Greetings from Florida!
Oh, dont use sweet potato.. it no worky.. too sticky.. do not cook potato either.. no worky either.. nor does cheese.. i was trying everything before i came across this. Streaks of carrot and melon everywhere.
This guy is a genius.
Unbelievable! Thanks for posting!
Funny and Awesome at the same time. I have carpet and will be using a red beet in place of the potato.
hahahaha!
@@bacon_girl1155 Great Screen Name! I love "real" pork bacon. (Smith's) I don't eat it anymore because God's word advises against doing so and I listen, carefully to what God has to say. God is even smarter than Trump. Love you... take care.
How the hell did someone decide one day, "I can't move that heavy dresser, wonder what would happen if put some potato under the leg?".
I'm thinking they stepped on a potato slice, slid and fell on their ass, and thought 'Hey!' But I'm going to try this!
@@1906780 Then banana might work the same way.
Der karkaufel.. poe tae toe... slide.. does it leave the floors all starchy?
Does that potato still eatable after moving the furniture ?
will this work with potato chips ? or nachos ? :)
AMAZING! The Vikings STILL rule!
Thank u, so much! This is a life saver!
Remarkable. I was looking for a simple way to lever up the back of a heavy chair ... a simple 2x4 and block of wood seems to be the answer. Hope it works.
I cannot believe that a potato can be used for this 🤦♂️🤣 I'm surprised it doesn't just smash under the weight lol. This is great but I don't know how one arrives at the conclusion that they're going to use a potato to begin with lol I wouldn't have thought of that in a million years 🤣
Ça m'a trop aidé merci beaucoup.
Vous l'avez testé ?
Very impressive. Does the potato stain the floor?
Sagisli The potato did not stain my hardwood floors, but as I expected, it did leave some residue as it was slid through the house. The potato residue was easily cleaned up with water.
What about moving something on carpet?
Wonderful 😘 u are Indeed genius 😊
Thank u so much sir, it helped a lot!!!
Omg it worked thank you very much 😍
So it's thick !! I didn't believe it at all. So I already know how the pyramids were built.

when i use my potato its explode
genius!
The potato will be smashed if the funiture is very heavy.
If anyone tried this and worked or did not work, please let me know. I'm afraid the potato will slide under the heavy weight and cause a big damage. And the landlord will be on top of you of course for trying to move in.
morocCaNhmed I'm to scared to. It might make your furniture smell wierd and get potato juice every where. And u might crush the potato
Potato 🥔

a potato flew around my room
when new video
When you use your full Brain

I too usually use doormats (or bathroom mats kept fluffy side up) under the furniture legs....it works out to some extent.
