I'm amazed at your ability to speak without judgement in telling stories with a dark side to them. It's a very unique way of always being able to see the human aspects of people.
I am now 60 , when I was probably about 10 Steve was filming , "Junior Bonner" in Prescott, Az.. I was behind the "Palace Saloon" on Whiskey Row and was with a childhood friend and his mom, She was a huge fan of his and honestly at that time I had no clue who he was and what an icon he already was.. All I cared about was in the alley was a trailer, (Steves of course) and against the trailer were several motocross bikes which at 10 I already had a Yamaha 175 Enduro, Steve comes out the back of the saloon and people were OOOing and Awwwing,, I am right there when he comes out and I put my hand out , he shakes it and tells me, "son dont squeeze too hard I fell off my bike yesterday.., I tell him I have a Yami 175 and he actually talked to me ignoring the adults.. So Thats my story and of course as I grew up I realized who he was and what an Icon he was and still is.. Great Vlog Jordan!! Thanks for the memories..
Man, that's great! Thanks for sharing. These kind of masculine quality traits are considered "toxic" by todays marxist liberal scum. I grew up in a feminist household, and though I understand Mcqueen had it rough growing up, but personally I prefer to have his childhood growing up then live in a "contained stable liberal abuse" setting I grew up in.
@@21stCenturySpaceOdyssey , I feel for ya, I grew up in a catholic hypacritical mentall and physically abusive home, mom too! I later on called her " Mommy Dearest" , don't speak to her since her husband died, my real father, shes too toxic to reach out even at 88 yrs.old..
There are so many people who never should have survived childhood, because of their childhoods. I totally understand Steve McQueen, because I am one of them. Thank God I have enjoyed my adulthood!! I have become a fan again of what's my line, and watching it as an adult, I get to see all the old stars, and get the adult jokes. There will never be stars like that again!! TY for todays VLOG!!
My father-in-law was the spitting image of Steve McQueen. I had so much fun going to Steve McQueen movies with him. Lots of people usually starred at us as we left the theater. He even had lived his life a lot like Steve. Some of his stories would have made some fun movies.
I've been trying to catch up with all the content. Jordan is a good historian and storytelling combination. The intro really buttons up the entire production as well.
I remember seeing the music box as a child. They used to run those old movies all the time. Funny movie! I remember learning about Steve McQueen through watching The Great Escape growing up. Sad beginning. It had to scar him, his whole life. He was a likable star. Thanks Jordan
Great story about Steve McQueen, who is one of my favourite actors and the Music Box - which is one of my favourite Laurel & Hardy movie shorts - thanks for making these.
You go Jah!!! Get those squirrels. Wow those stairs are steep. It would have been sad if Steve McQueen got thrown down those stairs. What a sad life he had. I love him in Bullet. Thank you, Jordan for a great vlog. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁.
I had such a crush on Steve McQueen growing up. I love all his movies. I know he had a hard life growing up but didn't realize how hard. Glad he took the right path mostly.
A big fan of Laurel and Hardy and Steve McQueen!! So many of my favorite people are gone but thanks to you I get to reflect and learn back stories of their lives!!
Jordan, I love these LA stories on actors and musicians. They are even better than your world travels. Your positive energy and interesting informative stories are fantastic!! Jeff
He really lived in the prime of the Hollywood golden age. It must've been an amazing time to have lived the life as a highly successful actor in the 50's, 60's and 70's. I'm sure he would've went on to film more iconic films in the 80's had he not died from cancer.
I love learning from you Jordan, ..glad to hear your car only needed minor work, and for free even, wow! Hope the fires are not near you my friend, stay safe.
Very cool to learn the back story of another legend thanks to your research and great story telling talents. Several years ago I walked up the Music Box Stairs knowing the Laurel and Hardy connection but had no idea about Steve McQueen and how close we were to his teenage home. Knew Steve McQueen had a rough life but never all the details. Appreciate you sharing them with us.
As it seems like with other actors you have vlogged Steve did not have good beginnings to his childhood he just got on with it despite everything. Peewee park is a really nice place, good thing your fit Jordan, those music box steps. All the best at the vet Jah. Glad everything worked out with your car, Thank you Jordan, these backstories help understand everything your vlogging.
It is always fun to spend some time with the sweet Jah! Steve McQueen was such a great actor but wow what a hard life! Great to see the stairs again such a hysterical movie with Stan and Ollie!
Oh wow. I never knew all that about Steve..It seems some the greatest actors had the most personal struggle. Thanx for the continuing education. Good luck to the Jahster!
Great vlog jordan love watching your channel. I read a book about Steve McQueen and it talked about his stepfather throwing him down the stairs in that book.
Great vlog. Interesting story on Steve McQueen. He made some good movies. Too bad his life couldn't have been better. Thanks to for taking us around and showing us The Music Box Steps again. I like going back and seeing some of the interesting sights again. I hope you can get Jah in to see the doctor soon. Glad things weren't too bad with your car. Safe Travels and Take Care.
I love Steve McQueen!!! It's so sad that he had such a hard life. His acting was superb. This vlog is great and it's good to be back there lol. Thank you Jordan!!! Love to you and Jah...
Hi Jordan, how funny was Jah with the squirrels! WOW!, that sure is a flight of stairs. It does look quite a nice little place, some nice little houses. It's surprising how many actors had a horrible upbringing. Great vlog Jordan.
Thanks 😊 Jordan I did not know that you did a vlog on Steve McQueen's movie Bullit some time ago sorry about that, will have to go back N check it out I just started watching U and Adam the woooooo for maybe the passed year trying to get caught up with the both of you guys volging lol 😀 Joe !!
Love these movies lotletions Steve a great Star what a sad start for him his film I like the most is The Thomas Crown Affair great vlog today love the park and Jah having fun Thanks Jordan and Lots of Love and kisses for Jah and Hi to all you Lionheart's Marie Dublin Ireland
Having been around when Steve Mcqueen was at the top of his short career, I went to see all of his films. You have some great comments on this Vlog, Jordan. Amazing how time moves on turning this all into history.
I always liked Steve. I heard on a radio show that he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was born again before he died. His ending was significantly better than his beginning.
Thanks for the indepth info on Mr. McQueen. Tumultuous childhood equals tumultuous adult life in his case. Very sad 😒...but still a fascinating actor. GREAT news on your car 👍. Means you'll be safe still showing us 🦁❤️'s your vlogs (and easy on the wallet, too!). Hey Jah-man, good luck on your check up at the Vets office 👌👍. See you boys tomorrow. 🙏's 😺
Jordan, good morning....😃 Another awesome video you’re always so informative. Been watching you for years and get excited every time I get a notification you posted another video. Anyhow pray Jah 💕 🐶 is okay... Keep on keeping on and God bless you sweet man... 😊😎
One of Steve McQueen's childhood homes is in Slater, Mo. They also do Steve McQueen days every summer too. Basketball player Joe Kleine is also from Slater, Mo. He's lucky since he got to play with Jordan, Bird, Barkley, Rodman, Pippen, Kerr, and many more.
Thanks for another great vlog, and a history lesson well taught, I really enjoyed this, I remember when Steve came here to make a movie, and it was one place next to our school near a railroad track where they shot up a little house where he was suppose to be hidden it, but I can’t remember the name of the movie now
I first got into your vlog from checking out your Kurt Cobain/Nirvana/Seattle one (which I REALLY enjoyed!) but I see all of them are great. Good stuff my man 👌
I think you've found your calling. I've only seen four or five of your vlogs so far, however I'm really enjoying them, and will certainly watch more. You're a good story teller, and I love how you bring life into where you are by sharing the people, paces and history of bygone days. Makes me appreciate and learn what I never knew existed. I'm so glad that girl left you in the lurch, and you had the freedom to experiment and discover what you didn't want to be doing. You wouldn't have come around to this had she stayed, and I think you would have been unhappy. Well done. If you haven't already discovered him, check out Jerry Skinner's channel. Keep up the good work!
Great vlog Jordan l reckon Steve mcqueen was one of the best looking actors of all time. What a horrible childhood, he learnt his adult patterns of cheating from his so called parents. What a lovely area. Where are the music box stairs,? So sad he died so young.. Great news you didn't need brakes or new tyres you have had your fair share of bad luck with cars.. I hope Jah is well and all goes well with his check up
I'm just wondering why you disabled the comments for the Ike and Tina Turner house vid . Some really impressive items gotten from that house . This was a great vid , thanks.. everybody loves Steve McQueen .
Hi Jordan, and all y’all... a fascinating vlog today so a who knew Jah was such a fast squirrel chaser... Wow the Music Box stairs!! I love Steve McQueen but have not heard of his upbringing so that was heart braking for me💔 it’s something my brothers never even hinted about... so take care, stay safe🌼🌺🍂🍁🎭🎃👻☠️💀🔪🎶🎸🕯🌻🌻👩🏻💻
My aunt must have been a borderline-type in regards to being one of the women as part of McQueen's regular affairs. But she wouldn't have any of an all out-and-out relationship as they both were married to other spouses at the time (she stated that she had her limits). She did, however, greatly relished the times he would take her for rides on his motorbike. And she also enjoyed working w/ him on "Wanted: Dead or Alive" (thrice!).
Love that part of the movie with those stairs...were those the same stairs in the 3 stooges with the ice?! My dad loved SM movies and once in a while I get to share time with my dad and watch a SM movie with! Love all these very old small homes in that area-beautiful area. Full of so much history! I did not know anything about SM, very interesting! We only see what's on the screen, and hearing all the background, makes one understand the roles he chose both in his career and his own life.
Is this section of stairs located in the same area in L.A. as the three stooges movie regarding the ice box that Curly had to move up the similar flight of stairs? Anyway Thank you for sharing the story of Steve McQueen my mother was a fan of his. I guess i liked him too growing up. Kudos Jordan

No, the three stooges actually used a different staircase. I did Vlog those as well, if you look up the three stooges on my channel they should pop up
McQueen became a Christian a few years before he died....and it was very important to him...
