Vocalist Asami's action of beating her chest in response to the audience took place at a live performance where the pandemic had not yet completely subsided. The audience was also kept apart, wearing masks and not allowed to speak out loud, so Asami's message was for everyone to beat their chests and sing in their hearts.🐺🤘👍🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁🎶
Wow, this song is rarely done by reactors but I like it so much, kinda hidden gem. I like the part when Midori plays with the slide. The bassist here is Miho, actually her last concert with the band, and Miyako eas about 4-5 months pregnant. Yes, this concert took place during the pandemic so the attendees only were allowed to clap. My next recommendation is “Empty daydream” (live).
@@Abigirl_Reacts Turns out Asami was also pregnant . . just not showing yet. Miho quit the band for personal reasons and Lovebites went on hiatus for almost 2 yrs. During that time both Miyako and Asami had babies. Not only are they amazing musicians, they seem to be amazing mothers as well. They held auditions (there is a video about the search) and they selected *_Fami_* as their new bassist in Oct 2022. They released their Judgment Day album on Feb 22, 2023. The MV of the title song was the first actual recording with *Fami* on bass . . *_Judgement Day_* - ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html
@@Patrick_H. I love people providing back information on their favorite bands, and I am sure so do the reactors! So thank you. :) I just wanted to play the pedantic old metalhead and add in that technically, the first MV released welcoming Fami was their new in-studio jam version of "Bravehearted", the Haruna song off the initial "Lovebites" EP. Of course, "Judgement Day" was the first official MV for the eponymous album with Fami, and they did a courteous gesture by coming up with a song featuring the new girl both on the intro AND outro right away. The camaraderie within this band is one of the extra-musical factors than endear them to me even more. \m/
It's rare for a band like this with the classic metal genre and elegant appearance, their talent is above average, every day I always heard their songs, thanks for reaction
Asami is basically indicating that what comes next is from the heart. Listen again to her closing “belt”. It’s my favourite of all her incredible vocal performances (in every live version).
Such a beautiful chorus regarding one of the darkest moments in world history, and the resilience of the Japanese people to, as the last line goes "find a way to overcome".
This is one of their less reacted-to songs, since it was originally on an EP and not a full album. On the other hand, the band has been consistently playing it Live as it has that great ear-worm chorus based on a known Classical tune (by Rachmaninoff, I think), and a sing-along section added at the end to cap off shows. I find "Under the Red Sky" steadily moving up my well-populated favorite songs list from LOVEBITES. And their energy Live just gives me a wide grin (sometimes through happy tears) every time. I think, with the winter Holidays approaching, the time is high for a couple of those heart-warming, tear-jerking songs from these incredible Japanese artists, like "Edge of the World" (their Progressive mini-epic), or especially "Frozen Serenade" ("wintry" and elegiac on top of a groove like you have not heard from them yet, and it is what one could call the "total art"; got to experience it).
The Adagio from Rachmaninoff's Second Symphony. It's probably also recognisable to many, as Eric Carmen used it as a theme in his 1976 hit 'Never Gonna Fall In Love Again'.
@@CrYou575 Ha, so I must have heard the Carmen version of it in passing as a child, because the song's main chorus gave me that "can't pinpoint where I know this from" deja-vu vibe! :)) Of course, I have heard the Rachmaninoff 2, but in Classical guise the themes are brought out more subtly, and I did not connect the dots at once. Thank you for sharing!

@@Abigirl_Reacts It’s not spoken about as much as I wish it were! It’s a cool trilogy too as each song is composed by a different member of the team. So although the ideas behind them coincide, it’s almost like a different perception to the story throughout each song.
That is really an oversimplification and pretty naive. There is a long standing debate about the U.S. bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but the fact is those happened because Japan attacked the U.S. and sided with the axis powers. Maybe they should not have done that, but we also know they got unlucky and missed the carriers at Pearl, or they would have destroyed the U.S. to the finish and last bayoneted infant if at all possible because that culture in that era saw everyone else as lower than human. I'm not sure how being attacked and forced to finally enter WWII puts the U.S. in the wrong. They only chose peace because they had no option. Japan now and Japan then are different, of course, thankfully. If only the Japanese education system taught what actually happened* these songs might be different. *Germany did it right and did not shirk what happened. Japan leaves out Manchuria and what happened in Korea, the Philippines, etc etc etc. Maybe because it is horrific to admit, but that is a fact. Most Japanese have no idea what factually went on unless they end up in higher education and study world history.
@ Firstly, I don’t need a history lesson based off of an artistic output. Secondly, there is zero history context in these songs other than talking about the events happening so your rant was unnecessary and honestly pointless. Not sure why you felt the need to post this when I’m just explaining the thought process/“inspiration” so to speak behind these 3 songs
Not a song that is one of the popular ones but very good song. This is the sequel to "The Apocalypse" from their first album. This song is about the atomic bombing of Japan. Under the Red Sky refers to the effects of the blast. The frenetic riff and rhythm section captures the intensity of the events. Midori's solos depict the moment of the ignition and subsequent explosion over the city, and the chaos immediately after. Miyako's solo concentrates on the rising rom the ashes, as does the closing choral harmony at the end - (credit to 4thArmoredVet for song info) Miho is on the bass here. LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits:
Rupture of the Heavens
Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree
Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity
Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity
Time has stopped and frozen
Held my breath with the death of humanity
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
SOLO: midori / miyako
Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea
Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome
