I think that Alvida would have ended up filling in a lot of the moments Buggy gave us in this senario. Probably not in Orange Town, I think from there to Arlong would have gone differently like you suggested, but I think Alvida would have been the one who would have tried to execute Luffy at Louge Town at the very least, probably in a 'if i can't have you, no one can!' kind of way and her overall obsession with Ludfy probably being a bit more intense without someone else being there to balance it out. If Alvida got captured and put into Impel Down, she could be in Level 1 since she was also a reletivly low bounty pirate if my memory serves me right (which isnt always so take that with a grain of salt), so she would likely be the one who helped Luffy through the Crimson Hell with her Slip Slip ability. Maybe she could rally the other prisoners into a riot with the power of sexy or something because I doubt Alvida would have the levels of sheer charisma that Buggy had. She'd also end up replacing Buggy at Marineford and probably would have done similar things, like finding the snail and keeping the broadcast going. Not sure if Alvida would have been made a Warlord since she dosnt have the past Buggy has to help make people think shes stronger than she actually is, but i can see her getting the status if she has the followers Buggy did and pulling a Hancock with treating everyone like theyre below her, and inadvertently making everyone think shes stronger and more important than she actually is. Side note, Alvida and Hancock as Warlords at the same time as having Luffy obsessions is a terrifying thought.

If Buggy were a part of Shanks' crew, the broadcast where Ace was killed, Blackbeard betrayed the marines, heard Whitebeard say "THE ONE PIECE... IS REAL!", how Whitebeard died, and how shanks ended the war would never have happened. Honestly, Buggy was instrumental to how the world changed during and after the Timeskip, as Blackbeard was more feared than he otherwise would have been, as the marines could not cover this up, and the world would have heard Whitebeard, the only person outside of Roger's crew who could possibly know what the one piece is or where it's located, say that it exists, reinvigorating the era. Buggy was, without question, one of the most important members of the ENTIRE marineford arc and how it shaped and continues to shape the rest of the story

Seeing this video now with it's beggining segment in light of recent info is so funny, it's actually Buggy saying "Let's continue Roger's legacy! We'll go after the One Piece!" and it's now Shanks saying "Yeah, nah, I don't really feel like it, wanna join me?"
On a serious note, the fact that Buggy was even on Roger's crew makes me wonder exactly what his significance to the story will be in the end. I mean Shanks was Luffy's sole motivation to become a great pirate, but drawing a connection between Shanks and Buggy? He has to have some greater role, if not now at some point.

The "you've already lost scene" one would've made it into the top 10 moments of one piece poll you made for sure, I can totally imagine that scene in the wildest of scenarios. Imagine if this version of Buggy had a variation of Shigan where he points his hand like a gun and fires off the end of his finger like a bullet, and it was Buggy showing off that technique and bragging about how flashy it was to Luffy that inspired him to fight bare-handed and name his attacks after guns; because Luffy thought Buggy was cool.
In regard to the scafold scene: I feel like story-wise Alvida would have taken place. Since she had to build a crew from scratch and get a new ship instead of just joining Buggy's she'd harbor a grudge and scheme against him instead of being kind of infatuated. Make her character a little more relevant than a sidekick and basically take over Buggy's previous roll in the story.
Matt, if Buggy was in the crew when Shanks met Luffy, it would have been entirely possible that Luffy would have never eaten the gomu gomu no mi. let's not forget that Buggy already lost a fruit he wanted to sell due to being careless, he would never make the same mistake again, meaning he would make it his personal task to keep that fruit SAFE.
Lol, imagine, Luffy starts his adventure only with armament haki (and maybe some self-developed Rokushiki-techniques) just because Buggy is in Shanks crew and decided to guard the fruit. Poor Luffy. Early access to haki, but at what cost? :( XD :'D

Listening to this discussion just made me realize something about how Oda has changed Buggy's character throughout this story. In the beginning he was a lot like the Joker from the earlier 60's TV show and then later becomes like the 80's version played by Jack Nicholson and may wind up being a lot like the Joker from the Dark Knight movie. If he joins Shank's crew he could easily wind up wearing a surprisingly stylish but strangely colored Suit.

There is a fanfic series in which the whole "They haven't seen each other in decades" thing is only a front and they are secretly still very close, but since Buggy didn't want to draw the marine's attention or to be under anyone anymore, they formed their own crews and hide their relationship. That is now my official head canon.
Going back to this video it's kind of funny how Tekking's scenario was almost completely reversed and it was actually buggy raring to go and shanks who told him he wasn't ready yet
Also don't forget that Buggy showed the world what happend, them knowing stuff about the Marine Ford war/ execution could be a critical point during the end phase of the story when the World Government starts crumbling.

If Buggy were a part of Shanks' crew, the broadcast where Ace was killed, Blackbeard betrayed the marines, heard Whitebeard say "THE ONE PIECE... IS REAL!", how Whitebeard died, and how shanks ended the war would never have happened. Honestly, Buggy was instrumental to how the world changed during and after the Timeskip, as Blackbeard was more feared than he otherwise would have been, as the marines could not cover this up, and the world would have heard Whitebeard, the only person outside of Roger's crew who could possibly know what the one piece is or where it's located, say that it exists, reinvigorating the era. Buggy was, without question, one of the most important members of the ENTIRE marineford arc and how it shaped and continues to shape the rest of the story
Yeah but in this timeline, the Red Nose crew would have found the one piece a few years before the start of the series, thus making the yonko system obsolete.
buggy would make a decent first mate, hes shown that he has management and command skills required of a First, and hes decent at managing image wich while thats more of a captains job he would be excellent at taking the crews infamy and capitalizing on it
Buggy would be better than King lore wise as Shanks' 1st commander.

On a serious note, the fact that Buggy was even on Roger's crew makes me wonder exactly what his significance to the story will be in the end. I mean Shanks was Luffy's sole motivation to become a great pirate, but drawing a connection between Shanks and Buggy? He has to have some greater role, if not now at some point.
Or it was just something to make his character seem more interesting in the East Blue Arc and now Oda uses it for shits and giggles.

The "you've already lost scene" one would've made it into the top 10 moments of one piece poll you made for sure, I can totally imagine that scene in the wildest of scenarios. Buggy shows up last minute in the fight against Kaido with everyone on their last legs and BAM, Enma carving Kaido from the back this time going right through his scars.

...I just thought of something morbidly hilarious. Imagine if this version of Buggy had a variation of Shigan where he points his hand like a gun and fires off the end of his finger like a bullet, and it was Buggy showing off that technique and bragging about how flashy it was to Luffy that inspired him to fight bare-handed and name his attacks after guns; because Luffy thought Buggy was cool.
In regard to the scafold scene: I feel like story-wise Alvida would have taken place. Since she had to build a crew from scratch and get a new ship instead of just joining Buggy's she'd harbor a grudge and scheme against him instead of being kind of infatuated. Make her character a little more relevant than a sidekick and basically take over Buggy's previous roll in the story.

Lol, imagine, Luffy starts his adventure only with armament haki (and maybe some self-developed Rokushiki-techniques) just because Buggy is in Shanks crew and decided to guard the fruit.

Listening to this discussion just made me realize something about how Oda has changed Buggy's character throughout this story. In the beginning he was a lot like the Joker from the earlier 60's TV show and then later becomes like the 80's version played by Jack Nicholson and may wind up being a lot like the Joker from the Dark Knight movie. If he joins Shank's crew he could easily wind up wearing a surprisingly stylish but strangely colored Suit.
i'm so glad tekking's videos are unscripted stream of consciousness rambles like this, because that genuine moment where he gets that thought about bartolomeo is one of the few recorded examples of a mind being blown

There is a fanfic series in which the whole "They haven't seen each other in decades" thing is only a front and they are secretly still very close, but since Buggy didn't want to draw the marine's attention or to be under anyone anymore, they formed their own crews and hide their relationship. That is now my official head canon.

So in all reality with the Buggy overpowered jokes there was the scene in the anime where the moment he avoid getting cut by Mihawk, but we also see him do with his clothes (of course I haven't seen the manga panel). So if he awaken his devil fruit would that mean he can separate certain object at a great distance like if Mihawk used his sword when Buggy awaken his devil fruit as the slice happen.... *Snap* and Mihawk sword is in a thousand pieces. Like if he truly awaken it imagine that he could make any non living object into a thousand pieces.

Why does everything that Tekking just describes about Buggy sounds a lot like Hisoka. IF Buggy were to joined Shanks crew, then he wouldn’t be known as the only man in history to ever served under two PK. The first as Gol D. Roger’s apprentice and the second as Monkey D. Luffy right right... right hand man. His crew might be the last to join the SHGF, but it’ll stand at the top of them all.
