Hi George. Just watching the review the star shape adapter has 3x 50.8 holes and 3 52mm that’s why you can’t use all of them… you should just use 3 to join not 4. The 3 50.8 ones for bolting the 2 together. The 52mm is to attach to the older style QR or older Fanatec wheels

Interesting stuff. Does the quick release mean you can not change wheels whenever, even during a race?

No, the quick release system actually allows you to change wheels whenever you want, even (theoretically) during a race. It's designed to enable rapid switching of steering wheels, which can be very useful if you need a different type of wheel for different driving conditions or if a wheel needs to be replaced due to a malfunction. Different manufacturers have different styles of quick releases, and this adapter set allows you to use practically any wheel on any wheelbase. The Tiny Emulator is required only for Fanatec because its ecosystem is closed. That means if you simply put any other manufacturer's wheel on a Fanatec base, the force feedback will not work. The Tiny Emulator tells the wheelbase, 'Hi! I am a Fanatec Formula wheel!' and you can have the FFB effects. However, for other functions-buttons, shifters, encoders, etc.-you need to connect your wheel directly to the PC with a USB cable or wirelessly.

If I plug in the Emulator my base switch from PC mode to PC comp. V2.5 mode. Looks your base doesn't.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, my base is still in PC Mode. I recommend reaching out to Simon from @SimRacingMachines via their website for a more detailed explanation or assistance. He should be able to provide you with the best solution.
