I lost 150lbs on Keto - from 320lbd to 170lbs - and I do all my shopping at Aldi. I recently added the keto bread to my diet. No weight gain, but I don’t eat it everyday. I buy the heavy cream, coleslaw mix & make homemade coleslaw, boneless chicken breast or thighs. Their ribs are great. Their pork in general is outstanding. They do carry Keto bars that are delicious. I also buy Pork Rinds, & Keto Cheese crisps. They used to carry soybean pasta that was low carb, but they discontinued that recently - bummer. Their Sicilian Olive Oil is fantastic. Aldi has a ton of Keto options.
I'm a 30+ insulin dependent diabetic and thanks to Dr. Berry and Dr. Berg I've managed to get my A1C down to 5.6 as of October last year. I've lost an enormous amount of weight too! Sometimes though I get that urge to pick up what I missed mostly during my Keto journey and that's chopped beef brisket sandwich yes with the spicy sauce too! I've had probably 6 in total over the past 5 months. Aldi's was my favorite place to grocery shop at until I found other places that I could almost get the prices as low as Aldi's. Aldi's does have cheese wraps which I found out this past week so I picked up a couple of packages and I didn't read the ingredients yet but I had a couple of egg salad wraps a few minutes ago for breakfast/lunch and they tasted pretty darn good! I'm still learning the process of making my own mayo that I can use for salad dressing and what people usually use Mayo for. In the almost year going full blown Keto/IF and OMAD, I've been substituting Sour Cream for many things and it doesn't come out too bad. I'm the full fat type of guy though and what's most impressive I've learned that fat ain't the Devil like Dr. Berry always stated and adds to that by saying fat is your friend.
Congrats on the 5.6 A1C! I live a low carb lifestyle because diabetes runs rampant on both my Mother and Father's side of the family. I'm going to beat it! Not diabetic and not going to be!
Love this! I wish Aldi U.K. stocked all these keto options! Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll find some keto or gluten free options in the middle aisles but they really need dedicated sections.
Same! My local shop is a Lidl and there is just nothing keto friendly at all. In fact, most supermarkets just don't see to have anything distinctively keto friendly like this.
@@badwolf9090 Yea, it’s mad isn’t it, how options are so abundant in the States yet so limited + expensive in the U.K.. I might start checking if some of the American brands export. They have some good clean keto options over there and the few you can get over here have lots of rubbish added in. Someone would make an absolute killing starting up a British keto brand. 💰
@@badwolf9090 It's because there's little demand for it here in the UK. We're basically going through what gluten-free and vegan customers experienced a short while back.
Dear Mayra, unfortunately we don't have most of the options you've mentioned here in Germany at our Aldi especially when it's about Keto 😢😭😭😭 - I'm really jealous!! Rainy greetings from Germany, Ela 🤗
I had to go back to low carbs, my gastrointestinal issues had skyrocketed. I discovered that full fat items gave me horrendous heartburn. I also was having trouble consuming enough meat since I don’t eat steaks or other red meat besides hamburger. I was constipated and would not go for many days and felt so dizzy and nauseous. It was creating a situation where I had to think about food all the time to get a very low carb meal together. I am now eating around 50 carbs a day not counting veggies, except corn and peas and legumes. I am losing slower but am feeling energetic and can exercise again!
I'm jealous. There isn't enough demand for keto friendly products so keto breads, and even egg whites are never in stock at my local Aldi or any supermarket in my area. Thankfully everything else should be abundantly available in any Aldi - salads, low suger yogurts, almond milk, double cream etc. It goes a long way to keep sticking to the diet in the long run.
Hey Mayra in the beef section it's good for low carbs but my husband and I looked at the labels of the beef and some of them have trans fat in it. Might want to be careful with trans fat. Aldi's is a great place to get low carb foods for cheap 😊
My Aldi's has Loven products, but none of the keto friendly options. They don't even have a spot for them, so it's not because they run out. It would be nice to try a carb-friendly bagel some day.
Thank you so much!!! I never knew Aldi's had that kind of stuff. it definitely looks like they have good prices. Will be heading there tomorrow for my weekly shopping.
❤ that you point out that some of those breads do not have the ‘Cleanest’ ingredients, but hey nothing wrong a little bit of everything sometimes 😋. Here in Australia I buy their High Protein plain Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, spray oil, yellow fin Italian tinned tuna in oil (which I throw over a big leafy green salad), hot Hungarian salami slices, and like you I also like their Lactose Free milk- but the low fat is only available in long life UHT box.
@@evas1968the Aldi in Arizona carries everything she mentions except maybe the Hungarian salami. I've never heard of it nor looked for it so I wouldn't know for certain
It’s my go to place , but I wish they had keto hotdog buns , they could use the same recipe that they use for the hamburger buns and reshape em , their products are fresh , and Aldi works hard to please their customers even though they are a German based company , I wish we had an American based company that was this involved with our economy, thanks for the vid 👍
I can confirm, Aldi is the cheapest place to buy in downtown Chicago by almost 50% off compared to other places. Produce sometimes is hit or miss. Overall is good if you can find everything on your shopping list
My closest Aldi is 91 miles away, but I try to make a trip once a month. Rumor has it that my little town is getting an Aldi next year! Woo Hoo! I can make more of your yummy meals instead of spending it on gas! I also buy the Fairlife Milk and I use it to make my own yogurt in the IP.
We love Aldi, we get most of our food there. Just picked up the wraps today! We’ve been eating the bread & hamburger buns (in moderation of course) we’ve never seen hotdog buns. And we will definitely be on the look out for the bagels.
I love Aldi's slightly dirty keto bread and buns. The great taste over some cardboard tasting options makes it worthwhile. I do not eat them very often but it sure is nice for a grilled cheese or a normal hamburger meal! 🙃
Thank u so much for this video. I’m so into eating healthy and your videos have helped me a lot. I’ve tried a few of your recipes and I must say I love them. Most definitely will be making more of your recipes. Thanks again. Oh. My family love your recipes as well. A plus. Keep being on the recipes.
I LOVE Aldi! I was about to ask you why you were wearing a jacket and then I remembered...I was in there yesterday (in Virginia) and it was FREEZING in there! I wish I had a jacket too! LOL!!
I absolutely love the keto sandwich bread and hamburger buns from Aldi! Unfortunately, the keto hamburger buns are a seasonal item, so you can't get them year-round like the keto bread. And I actually started laughing when you mentioned they didn't have keto hot dog buns, because I actually messaged Aldi about that on Instagram last year, and they actually told me that sounded like a good idea! Hopefully, one day the keto hamburger buns will be on the shelves full-time and they'll come out with keto hamburger buns.
Funny that U.S. has Aldi. It didn’t have it when I moved. It is from Germany. Even other European countries have had Aldi for years. Those keto items aren’t available at every Aldi…products are based on local population. Love Aldi!
Aldi has been in the US since the 70’s. I grew up on Aldi’s since I was a kid in the 90’s and early 2000’s so it’s nothing new here. I still shop at Aldi’s. Luckily, my local Aldi’s carries a lot of these keto items.
I saw an article saying that Aldi in London requires that you download an app and scan the Q code just to get into the store. There were subway style "turnstyles" (but modern style). I'm not a fan of this trend and am suspicious of Aldi.
This is all for marketing purpose. How many people is coming? What they are buying? When? On the app you usually you have discounts. Paper offers will disapear soon. This is common in Aldi/Lidl and similar german stores in UE. And yes they know a lot about you😉🌷
That's so unfair. Aldi is german and we don't have anything keto in stores 😂 only a few high protein foods but that's it. I already tried to get Aldi to add keto foods by suggesting it in our employees app.. but it's funny to finally see an Aldi outside of Germany. Looks almost the same. At least we have the same shelves and price tags 😂
I would have agreed 5 days ago BUT I just had a horrible experience. Spent 250 dollars on fruits and veggies and same breads on here. Opened at home to mold and box items were expired. Fruits were spoiled. Sorry…. Not on my list anymore. I acknowledge each location is different. Went to the manger and she was rude. Thank goodness my daughter was videoing on the sly. Hope you all have better experiences 🙏🏾 I lost faith.
Sorry you had a bad experience. Produce sometimes is tricky. We were in our Aldi yesterday and my husband had to carefully look through the strawberries because some were moldy. We normally have a very good experience and do most of our shopping there. I was surprised to learn recently that Aldi and Trader Joe’s are family companies. Two brothers. One runs ALDIs and the other Trader Joe’s! It was originally started by there Mother and split into two companies! Pretty cool!
These are nice Aldi finds, but most are not clean at all. If you are fine with that then get those items. A bit surprised she didn't show the 100% grass fed beef they have there, which is the least expensive you'll find anywhere. Me personally, I'm more about eating clean. The salad mixes are good, but I use my own dressing and not the stuff in the package. Aldi does have some good clean Keto items that weren't shown here, but sadly if you want clean Keto bread the only ones I've ever found was Base Culture and Unbun and they are not cheap :(

Good to know!!!
That is so inspiring. I’ll definitely shop at Aldi’s now.
*Aldi seems like the perfect place to find nutritious options at affordable prices. Thanks for the valuable advice!*
That organic half-and-half is really good. Also, they usually do have pasture raised eggs.
I make my own cold brew at home with pitchers I got from Amazon. I use ground coffee and it is much cheaper than buying ready made.
Props to Aldi’s. They’ve really seemed to step up their healthy/low carb options 👍🏼
