Various shots of welterweight championship boxing match between the current champion Henry Armstrong and the challenger Ernie Roderick at Harringay in Greater London. Although it is Armstrong that is clearly in control the fight goes the distance. Good M/S of Armstrong holding the winners trophy.

Great upload. The quality is wonderful.
Awesome quality vid!
Damn this commentary damn😊
The guy talks about the colour of Armstrong's skin as much as he does about his performance in the ring.
I guess he's trying to compliment Armstrong. Not really sure, this was a pretty racist time period. @@ppuh6tfrz646
@@ppuh6tfrz646 Facts! I was like ok we get it hes black we understand. lol
Such a weird fighter. I've never seen anyone before him, during his time and after him fight quite like him.
He constantly worked himself to the inside to be shoulder to shoulder and then sneak in punches.
Wish his Lonsdale belt had t stolen from the jewellers. Always collect his memorabilia
the commentary is somethin
Commentator dont lose a chance to said that word haha. Savage times.
it just means black. Spanish speakers say it all the time.
@@Onionbagel I undestand your point, im born and living right now in Argentina, but the historical context is different. Looking from a distance I think there is another sensitivity to that word in USA.. Maybe it started to looking bad with the African American movements of the 60s, i dont know
Roderick was a tough welterweight but after he won the first round Hammerin' Henry was warmed up and it was all down hill after that.
Armstrong was tiny for a Welter and only weighed 135lb for this fight.
He was an amazing fighter but ended up potless due to the usual robbing promoters doing a job on him
Bro what 😂
