No I definitely hate some of the grinding like having to go thru resets on pve,pvp, and gambit getting the same weapon 3 times instead of an ornament after the first pull. Plus having to do literally everything again on all 3 I'd rather skip having to do all missions without having to pay
@@st00pidn00byou don't have to get all the ornaments anymore to get the seasonal challenges done. You now can just skip the Gambit part and get it in a later season 🙂👍

It seems like the community is finally seeing why Bungie deserves the hate. Post WQ has been the worst period in D2 history and lightfall was just another serving of the same bucket of dogshit. This season is atrocious in regards to content, bugs, weapons, etc… Destiny is run by a skeleton crew while we pay premium.
I gotten fed up with fishing after the third time a public event showed up and removed the fishing spot. Fucking ruined the mood. Not only that but it resets your focus also, which is bullshit.
Dang, its almost like the idea was meant to be that you complete the quest over time instead of grinding for two straight hours for what it tells you up front is a Legendary weapon roll. All Ive learned is that a lot of D2 players seem to think that everything what takes more than 25 minutes should reward the greatest gear ever made.
If you actually go to 0:16 you will see it says expires on weekly reset 😂. So definitely cannot prolong this for more than a week. Also it does not tell you the reward upfront as it’s hidden until you hit quest step 4/6.

This quest isn't primarily about the end loot, it's intended to help everyone get the new exotic fish, which drops the start of a new exotic quest when you drop that fish off in the helm
Yeah, but look at all the fish you get to catch! Some of these quests I find annoying as hell. What was the catalyst quest we just had? Kill a thousand mobs to get a quest to kill a thousand mobs or so then get the catalyst and kill a metric butt-ton more to activate the quest. I think my weapon had over 3000 kills before I activated the catalyst. Then to add insult to injury, everyone else was shooting the same mobs for the same thing.
I just wanna point out that the reason it took you so long is because I don’t know if you do this all the time but you never ever ever pick up your fish until you have a huge stack. You can literally catch 2 to 3 times the number of fish in the same length of time by not picking them up. Soon as you catch it hit that fish button. Let it go catch it hit the fish button. Let it go. 500 fish points based on that shouldn’t take him more than half an hour. All right maybe 45 minutes But they take away is do not pick up your fish ever unless you’ve got a big group
I got 5 exotic fish and got 4 well rolled exotics, I got some good legendary weapons and I wasn't too busy yesterday so I did it in a fireteam while watching Netflix. So I guess it's all about perspective.

Getting interrupted by public events is bad enough, but what really irritates me is that the "focused fishing" meter doesn't do a damn thing. I've heard some people say it increases the rate at which fish bite, and I've heard other people say it increases your chance of rare fish. It doesn't do either. My score is at about 300 right now, since I was doing a bit of fishing earlier. I caught 149 fish, had max focused fishing most of the time. Wanna guess how many exotic fish I caught? *ONE*

It's not EXACTLY true. I think it is good if you do the quest, beacuse if you pick it up, you can get the exotic fish for the "time-gated exotic quest". (If you deposit the exotic fish in the helm you get a broken blade)

Those are just rewards you get for each step along the way, but the final reward for getting 500 points is still the choice of those two weapons shown in the vid.
You should still go fishing on the miasma as the new exotic fish "Whispering Mothcarp" is easier to get this week. You also need to catch the new fish to start the new "secret" exotic quest because you get a thing to give to the various statues in the deep dive game mode
I might get some hate for this but if your picking up each fiah you catch then your doing it wrong and yeah its going to take a while and the exotic gear you get has some good rolls i did it in about 1 hour and only cost me about 100 bait
If you only play the game for the rewards and not because you enjoy the game, find a new game. Seriously. The loot isnt supposed to be the reason you play, it should be an accessory to why you play, a bonus. Seems like far too many of you only play for the loot and constantly experience this kind of disappointment. This is supposed to be a passive quest. Its bonus loot on top of getting the main loot from fishing.
this is just wild to me, how can someone legit come up with an opinion like this for a loot based game that has been out this long the new content they release is over so fast and can get stale after a few runs that the only thing you can possibly get excited about is the rewards, the rewards for this quest that requires a large amount of bait and then multiple hours depending on rng is basically a few legendary shards
Is this not a 6 or 7 stage quest? Obviously the good rewards wouldn't be at the start. If you miss this week you might have to wait until this fishing spot comes back to get the quest again.

Hawthorne didn’t have it for me, it was in my abandon quest and when I pulled it, it completed it.

I've found doing the public event and returning to fish seem to yield better results. I have turned in several exotic and quite a few legendaries.

It may be updated, because right now it tells me I get enhancement prisms and deep engrave, etc. Hmm.
