I made a small chip board book for a toddler and did one page upside down 2 times!!! I had to rip off the little pocket I made and make another. Just clipping along. Also I drew a girl on a piece of paper then painted it. and glued her upside down in my journal. Now I look and see the book orientation. You learn from your mistakes and triumphs. Oh Wow this works for me...I now have at least 15 different types of glues and different kids of tape. Although sometimes you use 2 or 3 different ones on one project. I'm learning how to make stuff stick and be good for years to come. Just say I was given jennibellie from Natasha at Treasure Books. Thank you for the time on your YT Channel. I'm doing lifebook 2020 with Willowing so I will do your class next.
Thank you for sharing. I so enjoy your videos. Makes me realize that while I see your work as perfection, you see it as a journey and that anyone can get on that journey when they realize you just have to start.
Your creative process is always the best from anyone I follow. You explain in great detail and share all of your knowledge. Thanks for sharing. Barb USA
wow! You are so inventive. I never would have thought of this and it was wonderful to watch you figure out how to put this together. Can hardly wait to see you adding to this one. :)
jenni, I really appreciate your video tutorials. for one so young (compared to me,)-you are quite gifted in your instruction, confidence in presenting your ideas. I used to work where I could recycle e lot of cardboard, etc, and I also used to look at things with an eye toward "what shall I use this for?" . you've inspired me a new to recycle for my art. keep up the wonderful work.
I love watching you create something for the first time! It gives me confidence that I can replicate and recycle things that I would normally throw away. I knew there were benefits of being a packrat! LOL
Loved this episode thanks so much. We have a few stuffed accordion thingies like that we are about to remove papers from and replace them as they are tatty i might give this project a go.
that's such a cool idea- using the accordion for a loose leaf journal :) it was fun watching you figure out what to make of it. I always have trouble when people ask me how I made something.. because the answer is usually just "well i improvised.." lol
Beautiful, love your ideas, so creative! Thanks for sharing. I just luckily came across your tutorials...while trying to do some of these recycling type of things!
I love your expand a file journal. Now I have extreme journal lust for sure!! I'm on a quest to find a really inexpensive one so I can make one, also, for my upcoming classes. I wasn't sure what direction to go for the journals for them, so THANK YOU for the inspiration.
Watching this video, you have caused me to do something I used to do years ago, but had stopped doing. I am once again looking at anything and everything, ie: like all cardboard and recyclables, and thinking, "what can I do/make with this?" Watching your process, especially in this video, has activated this again in me. Thanks =) I kinda missed it. Love your creativity.
Jennibellie, I love all of your recycling videos! I recently acquired a bunch of 2013 calendars that were headed for the trash. I find myself wondering, what would Jennibellie do with these? lol So this video was perfect. You are my inspiration, tfs!!
Great Video hunny really like how you re use things, when I first started art journaling I found many sites that was all about the material things that you and cost wise that is scary. I am always looking for new ways to make my books to create in and I think this one is going to be on my to do list.
Love this! Going to look for one of these folders tomorrow and try it. I've watched all your videos - I'm pretty sure - did you ever think of making - or did I miss it - a day planner with calender etc? I think it would be wonderful if you made it in the Jennibellie style and would love to see it. I know you don't do requests but...lol.
Loved this! I just uploaded a new Journal (I do Prish journaling -Prayer and a Wish) and am working on making some now. I love the inspiration I get from watching your channel. It's awesome!
Hi Jenni! I know this is an older video, but I wondered if you have an update on this journal or loose leaf journals in general? I'm thinking of doing one but would love your input on the pros and cons or what you liked/didn't like about loose leaf journaling. Thanks so much!!
Rather than peeling off the cover...couldnt you have gesso'd over it? Im just curious because I have a shiny notebook like that and was thinking of doing that and wanted to know ahead of time if there was a reason you didnt do that. :)
Ive been looking for one of thesefolders forever. They used to b3 available in the usa but not now. The folders like this that can be purchased now are plastic. Yuck !
well.... it seems like a whole lot of work for a portfolio journal. Im not sure it works for me... I have a billion of journals or craft boxes that i have filled(ish) with my work. Its more fun for me to deco a box and fill it... and then spread it all out to see what i have collected or worked on in the past. just saying.. ;) to each her own. :))
