I have heard bits and pieces about the Bible John story in Glasgow, but I've always been too squeamish to read more about it. I'd love to hear you tell the story, though, if it still qualifies as a mystery. 😃 That or the witch at Pollok House.
@@NotoriousEKB Thank you for listening! I know a bit about Bible John and I have some thoughts on it that I have never really seen mentioned anywhere else. Not sure I would like to dive deep into something as dark as that but maybe...As for Pollok House, I'll need to look into that! I used to read meters around Pollok but never made it as far as that.
@@StevenAMckayAuthor Rad! I heard about the witches when I volunteered in the art gallery at Pollok House. It's a pretty wild tale ending in a hanging in Greenock. There's also a supposedly haunted painting of a baby that so disturbed one of the Lady Maxwells she insisted it be hidden away in storage. They have it in the entry area now, and it is definitely creepy. Kinda looks like a baby Rowan Atkinson in a fruit basket. 😅 PS - Love your Druid series! And, also, I think of that poor kid in Lucia who was cleaning under the Roman bath at least once a month. New fear unlocked. Cheers, pal 😂
Thank you very much! Yeah, having to clean out under the baths must have been absolute hell. Then again, I suppose it would give those slaves a little rest and a chance to be alone for a little bit without anyone hassling them!
thanks for pointing out his true intentions with that ritual, to summon his Holy Guardian Angel and bind the demons, not play with them! He's laughing at the ones who believe otherwise, and sucking them into his 'traps' with his book of lies... revenge beyond the grave, imo. He was a rascal!
To be fair Fair the reason he left was to go to the aid of McGregor Mathers who was in the middle of a massive occult psychic battle in London and he felt he should be at his side. That said Not the greatest way to treat the Abra melin ritual !
Thank you! I don't think he was there much, yeah, I think he just liked owning the place because of its connection to Crowley. Must be nice to be able to afford such hobbies lol
@@MysteriousEvents1 I actually walked near to it when I did a circular walk around Loch Ness in 1992. I didn't realise where it actually was at the time. I kicked myself later. I would have liked to have seen it, or got close to it. I was already into Zeppelin at the time. Doh. No internet for information back then though. Oh well. Cheers.
I wonder if it really exists. There's said to be a tunnel between Dumbarton Castle and the nearby Dumbuck Quarry but I wonder if these tales are just romantic notions.
Thanks for the feedback! Which intro? Do you mean the music? I was aiming to get it 30 seconds long so people can just use the "skip 30 seconds" most podcast apps have. I suppose that's not as useful on a RUclips video...
It is wonderful to see it rise from the ashes with a much better energy. Now it is being rebuilt with love.
Great video and i love your japanese accent.
Thanks
Who doesn't love historical ghost stories recovering from a horrible head cold.
Get well soon!
Let me know what subjects you'd like me to cover in future. Thanks for watching!

The Brahan Seer "myth" is fascinating .....
Another enjoyable foray into the unexplained 👍
Thank you sir!
Interesting ❤

Thanks! I'm sure he's laughing at me as I struggle to make sense of my copy of "The Book of Lies"! 😆
So interesting thank you. Are you a radio journalist?
Thank you very much, no I'm a historical fiction author! I just like doing podcasts too. 🙂
Crowley started a long, intense demon summoning ritual. Almost finished....goes on vacation. Bravo Aleister! 😂
Yeah, you have to wonder WTF he was thinking!
To be fair Fair the reason he left was to go to the aid of McGregor Mathers who was in the middle of a massive occult psychic battle in London and he felt he should be at his side.

Good run down. I heard Jimmy Page stayed there less than a dozen times over the years he owned it. Big Zeppelin fan myself.
Cheers.

@@lyndoncmp5751 Yeah, I've driven past it a couple of times without really knowing where I was, I'd like to see it myself.
@@StevenAMckayAuthor
Ah lucky you. That's a great road to drive along. Im near Epsom, Surrey, where Pagey grew up.
Cheers.
We took the kids near there for a holiday a couple of times when they were younger. Really wish I'd made an attempt to visit Boleskine now.
Tunnel was never found

It's nice to see/her something well researched to do with Aleister Crowley. You're good. But your intro is too long!

It’s pronounced Arr-bra-melon
Thanks Mark!
Pretty grim place. I have to wonder why anyone would even consider buying it…
Well, just look at the location and view!!!
It gets a bad rap because of Crowley but it's in a beautiful location and the more recent owners loved it.

Yes, an amazing spot to live. I would!!!
