- When Watch the World Burn came out, and then we got Ronald, it became abundantly clear that Ronnie Radke's excursion into feeling like a martyr for the music--specifically the metal--scene was here to stay. But on All My Life, he pierces into country pop with plenty of Blaire White to go around and more cringe than ever before.
The ultimate lesson of his antics getting him where he has ended up reputation wise has not sunk in yet, I don't believe. His talent is there, but the mentality he has taken towards critics and his political antics has really dug him into quite the polarizing hole.
With the pandering towards a very right-leaning political party that has been increasingly problematic in the modern sphere, it's not hard to see that the way he stokes the flames has boiled to a head more than ever before.

Generally speaking, seeing this long-term spiral into a specific political side (in an almost, pandering way, not just a free-expression sort of way), the martyrdom and victim mentality that Ronnie Radke has, it feels necessary to dive into some of the critiques of Falling In Reverse in the modern sphere, and why this song is hilarious considering the context. So, I'll agree and disagree with your video and I'll try to go point by point and I'll put thought in since you did/ always do.
Falling in Reverse is my favorite band, Escape the Fate is my second, Violent New Breed is three and Beyond Unbroken is four (Dead Rabbits is lumped in with ETF). I love all the bands in this sphere and always have because I think these musicians specifically bring a spark to their songs that I don't hear in a lot of other music.
I think you're reading too much into All My Life. I think he's trying to be goofy on purpose and not taking it seriously at all. I think the inclusion of Blair is also part of that, I read it as a him playing with peoples criticisms and saying "this is not that serious, whatever, remember to have fun." Ronnie also has certain opinions that I don't assume his friends or other collaborators have, they might, but it seems clear to me that he just doesn't care much about the beliefs of the people he works with beyond feeling strongly about cancel culture.
To bring it back around, this is Ronnie's first album since 2017 but this is normal for his albums. We usually get some serious songs like Chemical Prisoner or Brother... but then Just Like You is on the same album. I feel like that's also meant to be just a catchy goofy song that you don't take too seriously that plays on his adopted roll of being the "heel" character.
Ronnie has clearly thrown some opinions out there but I don't think the music has actually ever been explicitly political despite appealing to a political crowd again, due to cancel culture stuff. I think you misjudge that he doesn't know why he's viewed the way he is. I think he knows exactly why and doesn't care at this point, he just makes the songs because they clearly resonate with a large group of people.
That said, as a fan I'm also a little tired of it. It's been tough with such sparse releases, if you don't absolutely love a song, it's all you get for a long time. Popular Monster into Zombified was a bit of a let down for me because, while I like both, I remember thinking "well that was just the same song." I thought All My Life was actually different though and enjoyed it partially for that reason, I didn't think it was necessarily about anything haha, finally just another goofy song.
The Twitter antics seem to have started from 2 ideas. People made a lot of criminal allegations against him and he got the idea to actually sue over it, which I think is fair. If you say someone committed crimes that they haven't even been officially accused of, I get when they come after you. The second idea seemed to be that "people have gotten really used to crapping on celebrities and expecting them to do and say nothing back" then they freak out when they get an answer. I've seen this happen with Doja Cat as well. People like giving it, they don't like being responded to in kind very much.
You refer to "censoring people that don't like his music" a couple of times and I just don't know what you're talking about on that one. Maybe I missed something he did?
Overall, I think this era will end eventually. FIR is always changing and I'm not sure why that would stop now. It's funny to see even comments here saying "he's trying to grift to people that don't even like his music" but whoever he's appealing to, it's definitely working, the numbers don't lie. I like the band because they're fun and genre bendy and also a little bit corny but self aware... now lol. Ronnie just said in an interview "idk how ya'll let me get away with the song Alone, it was terrible." I think Ronnie is a fantastic musician that can write a hook pretty much better than anyone and he'll be successful as long as he can keep doing that.

I certainly agree that as you get to a bigger level, you get more hate and attract it like a magnet. But I feel like if you can honestly say that Ronnie doesn't intentionally either stoke the flames, or has clearly changed to point towards a specific direction, you might be blind to it.

Most of them grow up out of it and eventually accept who they are and end up being just gay. Trans surgery DOES not improve quality of life. It DOES not improve suicidal thoughts or decrease suicide rates. The suicidal rate pre and after surgery are the same. Children are easily adaptable to indoctrination, you can remove half of their brain as soon as they're born and grow up perfectly fine. Do that to an adult and you see serious affects.

The people he surrounds himself with, both on social media + interviews and also his outlook very specifically aligns with a very specific group in the modern sphere and you'd have to be blind not to see that. This kinda thinking is the very reason metal has got extremely stale as a genre since the numetal and metalcore days of the 2000s and early 2010s. Look man, I know it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea. And if you don't like it, thats fine. But it is a fun, creative song that gets attention in the mainstream and could potentially bring over some people to listen to metal in the future. Metal and rock in general is the most neck beard gatekeeper genre on the planet. It's sad to see the community that pretends to be caring and accepting act like anything that doesn't sound like it was made in the 80s and 90s bad. I love metal and metalcore. But I love when artists take the music and make something fun and creative. There is so much generic cookie cutter metal out these days that it's got to such a predicable sound you are gonna hear from band to band. Metal fans are some of the most negative people when it comes to actually listening to anything outside their bubble. This may be news to some of those people, but if alot of people like it, and it becomes mainstream....It's actually better than "real" metal. Whatever the fuck that means.

OK, so at first when I heard the song I wasn’t a huge fan of it. I’m not gonna lie. It was very much different something I’m not really used to, but I listen to it a second time and I’m like wait a minute. I actually like this when you watch the Blair White interview, he explains how the song came about and it makes complete sense. Why he you know did this song and why he is basically saying what he sang in the song I mean it’s a song that he’s putting out there people accuse him of being certain ways and that’s not what it is at all people accuse him of being trans phobic he’s not trans phobic people accuse him of not liking the LGBT community. That's a perfectly valid take but I feel like it's long since been established with any art, music or otherwise that popularity doesn't always equal amazing. personally i think song is great and the filmclip even better. I'm not a long time fan of falling in reverse, but I think as artists they are doing it right, not everyone is gonna like that. Look at any successful artist, theres always things not to like. I just focus on the product and if i like the sound, dont really care for anything else

The one thing I disagree with here is that he's talented. I've been consistently shocked by how horrible is lyrics are, and if he has any vocal talent, I must've missed it while laughing at the baffling performances and "creative" decisions he makes.
Dude, vocal wise, his revamped version of I’m Not A Vampire is insane. Compared to the original and then listening to the revamped version is creativity in a nutshell. He changed the whole song entirely and the music video along with it was amazing. You can have your own opinion, but he is beyond talented.

@@sarraga69 that's the fun thing about bad music, some of it can become wildly successful... look no further than Ron Browz or Mori Calliope, two big artists who have made it huge despite having zero creative or vocal talent whatsoever. Those are extreme examples, I'll still concede Ronnie Big Boy inarguably has more talent than them (no hate to Ron Browz, ironically love his stuff, sincerely suggest checking him out especially)
