Snooze is one of the most remarkable vulnerable and impactful songs Yoongi has written. I need his “everything will be ok” just repeated 16x because he desperately wants us to be ok and rest. He especially wrote this for young artists/idols to rest under his wings/ideas. It’s ok important to rest. His deeply insightful views on the world in People pt 1 & 2 hit me “people aren’t the animals of wisdom but of regret”. The message you are worthy of live too. Just all of it.
I feel this is why I was for sure at a loss for words with Yoongi because he says it all. This being my first Playlist Monday I think... it went well haha I was so spent after these songs. Snooze actually has been playing alot here, I think this song will be used as a great reset reminder 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I automatically cry when I hear snooze. How amazing that he wrote this for his juniors and anyone struggling for a dream. His live on the last day of his tour he cried the whole way through the song, army sang his everything will be ok and all the other parts where he couldn't sing. TRUE beauty and love 💜
I feel that Suga, even though he doesn't show it usually, feels things very deeply. So, when he writes lyrics, he really strikes at the core of things. Seeing his performance at the end of his last concert in Seoul (where he was breaking down into tears, and the crowd was singing for him), was really heart wrenching.
”You who sleep for your dreams” is such a weird translation. I understand it like this: ”you who work night and day for your dreams so that you need to take cat naps to catch up on sleep”. That is what Suga himself did: practice all day as an idol, then afterwards work on private projects, and sleep on a couch backstage while waiting to perform or to get make up done. There’s a lot of footage with Suga sleeping in all kinds of positions while the rest of BTS are fooling around.
I didn't find it weird at all. To me, it means: "You who only sleep in order to be able to dream", meaning that when you're awake you're working hard to pursue your dreams, and you only sleep to dream of pursuing them; so tonight don't even dream, just rest. Not sure if I was able to get my meaning across, lol.
@@s.susanmarandi9080Nice, it can have different meanings for different people. I googled the word used here, 쪽잠, if you look at the images you see what it means, literally.
I think any creative person can see themselves in this. "Snooze" gives me chills every time. It's so powerful. The kindness of Yoongi's message, the haunting melody, Woosung's incredible vocals - this was how I found Woosung and The Rose and I'm beyond grateful for that. I love this so much. Yoongi completely broke down performing this at his last concert. This fan-made video is great, but the clips of them singing it live from the documentary - the live version is incredible. Watch the documentary.
This is how I discovered The Rose as well! I heard his voice come in and thought, “Who is THAT?!” His voice was almost haunting. The Rose is a fantastic band.

Snooze is the song I listen to every time I'm not feeling well. Suga's words are the ones I wish I had heard when I was young and struggling. And these are also the words that I dedicate to my children. Suga is a wonderful artist who helps me a lot and I love him. 💜
Dear my friend, Snooze, Amygdala. At the final concert they were in this order and he cried his eyes out.Army cried with them and sang when he couldn’t.Yoongi is very strong in his lyrics and they touch but also calm. Thanks for your reaction. After the news that RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook have begun the process of joining the military service, this is a consolation for me.Thank you.💜
Snooze is my favorite song by Yoongi. I’ve been ARMY since his first mixed tape. And his anger has been an echo of my own in a lot of ways. I was in LA for his D-Day tour & it was an epiphany. A releasing of so much hurt & despair. Then watching the last day of his tour in Seoul on Weverse…watching his emotion & tears. Catharsis took on a whole new meaning. “People” was my favorite song of that year. I’ve still not overcome the isolation of the Covid kyrs but I realize my own humanity in that. I’m flawed but still part of the world. And, in the end, I can’t reject my humaness. Despite my best efforts. People 2 was written during Covid & I can see the embracing of being an introvert in the time of the plague, but still mourn the loss of contact. The scars remain as some of us still look for a place to land.
I think thats the lesson I learned last night when I listened to these for the first time.. Is that there is no such thing as perfect, and dreams will come we just need to relax and enjoy the ride. Today I reflected on alot of this 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yoongi has such a beautiful heart. He was the one that I had a really difficult time with, at first, as a baby ARMY. I just couldn't quite connect with him. I thought he was so angry. But one of my friends explained his personality to me more fully, and it wasn't very long until he was in my bias line. He is passionate, and profound, and so incredibly, amazingly talented. He can be savage AF, but he can be so caring, as well. Sometimes (quite often, actually) his music both as a solo artist, and with BTS, seems to explain my mood better, and more fully, than I can.
Thats exactly what I needed to hear! I always think that I dont fully undertand him and thats ok because I am so new! I really feel that someday in the future when I understand him more I will be able to connect with him on a deeper level. He really is someone special, an artist that I really admire 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Anger very often comes from pain. Sadly, for males in particular, expressing anger is more socially acceptable than showing you are sad or hurt. Safer too, because others are less inclined to mess with angry people than people they perceive as “weak”. So emotionally sensitive people who feel things deeply learn to be more guarded unless they grow up feeling safe in their environment, which Yoongi clearly didn’t.
When I first started down the BTS journey I didn't really have a bias I thought they were all just great young men then I stumbled upon The Last and just like that he became my bias .
He really does. I relate to him the most (like how I interact with the world on a daily basis), but it took a little while for me to realize it. I'm triple biased (Yoonminjoon) and he was the second to be added 😄
"Nolo Destroyed MG on Nov 20th" ..seriously tho my friend you needed to hear all 3 of those songs especially snooze. Like i told you, suga speaks to your soul and he does. He will delievered his message in a raw form and it hits you so hard... out of all the guys i can relate to suga alot more personally. I am so glad you enjoyed those 3 songs tho.
Thank you for appreciating SUGA's difficult songs. Hobi once said that Yoongi's songs are to real and honest so they're hardly chosen for BTS albums. I love how raw and real are his lyrics. My ultimate favourite though is Far Away feat. Suran (there's a version with JK&Jin, but the original one hits me harder) Have a lovely day everyone 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Edit: also SUGA uses chorus from Far Away as bridge in Snooze 🫂
You are begining to understand why I love the Rap line. The music they produce for themselves and others is content heavy, beautiful honest and makes most western music look like pap.
IU has her own show called 'Palette'... Yoongi , Tae and Hobi have been on it... You would love it MG... she actually sang one of Tae's songs and he was shocked at her range... Her and Yoongi were like squabbling siblings...the whole show is just genuine.. her episode with the band Nell was also really good.
First Love and now Snooze are two songs I LOVE, but can barely listen to cause they make me wanna cry (or actually cry)….he has such a gift for speaking to my soul 🥺 Just thinking of him getting so emotional singing it on stage kills me. He deserves nothing but happiness 💜 and I’m not even gonna speak on Woosung’s vocals cause they’re ALWAYS so amazing (check out The Rose if you get a chance).
When it comes to bts Suga was my first love because of his lyrics. he was the reason I entered the bts world. Now all the 7 have their own place for their own special personalities 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 OT7 FOREVER apobangpo Thanks for sharing your thoughts Borahae 💜
the translation "you who sleep for your dreams, it's ok to rest. For today, don't even dream"- it is not totally a correct translation. It should translate as: "For all you who sacrifice sleep (taking short power naps) to work on your dreams, it's ok to rest so for today, don't even dream (go into deep sleep)" He wrote this song for all striving, struggling artists
SUGA is a genius producer, he plays with words in his lyrics which hits straight to your soul. All his songs are a reference from his personal sufferings and experiences in the past. I could relate more with his songs though i'm not much into rap songs and all but when i hear his songs its a melodious tone to my ears because it heals my soul.❤
Thats so beautiful, well said! For me even just him talking, I slow down and just listen. Im so greatful for his wisdom.. really All the boys bring something to the table of life
Yoongi has a precious heart. He didn't just stop and enjoy on his success instead he wanted others to succeed too. I need this now, praying to be step closer to dream.
I always love your reactions. Snooze is definitely my favorite song from the D-Day album. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but the older gentleman in the mv is Ryuichi Sakamoto. He is a famous Oscar winning composer for the movie " The Last Emperor." It had always been a dream of SUGA's to work/collab with Ryuichi. What a blessing that he had the chance to do so. Unfortunately, he passed away nearly a month before SUGA's D-Day album was realeased. Borahae 💜
Yeahhh I was told about this, so unfortunate... Thankfully Suga got the chance to work with him though! Thank you so much for watching I really appreciate it! Borahae 💜
Yoongi has a special place in my heart. This man makes me cry and smile at the same time, he speaks to me, to my soul, as a writer and also as a person. I love Snooze, but my fav is People.
He produced and featured on an IU song titled "Eight". IU also has a YT talk show where she interviews other artists and they sing live together. SUGA was on when D-Day came out and they FINALLY sang "Eight" together and they also sing each others songs together. J-Hope and V were also on her show when their albums released and IU is the next guest on SUGA's talk show, "Suchwita".
Sorry it took me so long to get to this video. I completely understand as many do where you are coming from saying Yoongi’s lyrics hit hard and he really opened up in this album. I try to do the same thing as you said after you watched Snooze. It’s hard. It’s something we all have to try to be better at doing. How he has been able to grow so fast at his age is beyond comprehension. I did see when this first came out he did People pt 2 with IU where she has a show too interviewing K-pop and she usually sings at least 1 song with them. They were incredible together. I’m also so sad that Ryuchi, a world reknowned pianist Yoongi worked with also in Snooze and you saw him as the elderly gentleman in the video, passed away shortly before this release. Sakamoto-san is,in my opinion, a great composer and pianist of all time. Thank you for sharing your thoughts MG! 💜💜💜💜💜💜🙏
Time for you to rest. I am much like you. Hard to let go and relax. We have to. Not just for us, but others around us as well. Thanks for sharing your heart. It's all good. You're doing an amazing job! Love Suga! He always hits at the heart. He is genuine.
I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. The music that BTS writes heals people, I truly believe that! This song has touched so many people in profound ways. I cry everytime i hear this, but in a good way. I feel like i'm being somehow purified by his wisdoma nd love for others. When I saw him sing this live I cried at a soul level, tears of regret and tears of hope. I turn to this song a lot yo remind me it's ok to rest and just be in the moment, to be kind to myself and give myself grace. I'm so glad it touched you and helped remind you to rest and above all love yourself! That's all the boys want!
I have seen a couple of videos of the rose, but I haven't really gotten into their music. But from what I remember, they are alternative and very creative :) Woosungs voice is another level!
This is one of the reasons why following your BTS journey is so satisfying tbh: You get it! You get what they're saying and what they want for us. You still need to listen to Paradise though (yes, I'll keep pushing for that one 'cause I truly believe you need to hear it's message 😉). 😁👍 💜
I feel for Yoongi slowly and surely and now, although I don't really have a bias, he's the member I connect with the most. I just watched you fall into Snooze and let it hit you. I already loved Yoongi but if I hadn't, that song would have done it. He's speaking straight to his juniors. If you watch him in his own show (Suchwita) with younger idols, you see that same care for them. He's so deeply, sincerely kind. One of my favorite things is that every time he's talking to a guest, if they try to say anything negative about themselves he *immediately* jumps in to correct them. Firmly. You *will* be reassured, forcefully if necessary. He won't tolerate anyone talking themselves down in front of him 😂 Snooze is pretty much that in a song. I appreciate that Yoongi's songs are usually quite straightforward - you don't have to dig for the meaning - and get their power from sincerity. And then you followed it up with People, which was the first song I ever heard him sing rather than rap. And it's another perfect example of his raw emotion wrapped in words. People Pt 2 is about the jumbled up pandemic times... And yes IU has just about the world's sweetest voice! Yoongi has talked about the song being a sort of triple pun - saram means person/people, sarang is love, and sara is emphatically telling someone to live. He almost named it sara so it could equally be both people and love. I can't remember if you've done First Love yet. If not, go for the live performance, bring tissues, and expect to be a bit in love with Min Yoongi by the end. 😁
My two favourite songs from any bts member or even the group. Snooze and people are so special to me. Can’t really get into people pt2 bc the English parts make no sense to me but the other two are so amazing
Welcome to the family! I cant wait for more music from Suga.. Just like RM coming out soon with a new album, I love how Service dosnt stop the boys! 💜💜💜
These are some of my favorite songs from suga, snooze will never not make me ball my eyes out, specially after the live performance at day 3 (final) of the D-day tour. They’re so personal and heavy. I miss yoongi 😢
Snooze is my favorite song on D-Day it definitely spoke to my soul and have found myself repeating the line “everything will be ok” (in Yoongi’s voice) in my head at work when it all becomes too much. When I got to see it performed in person it felt an out of body experience, I’m not sure I was breathing properly the whole time 😂 Our Yoongi has a way to make us feel so loved and cherished just with his words💜
Please check out some music from The Rose of which Woosung in this song is the frontman. His solo work is great too. But their most recent album is excellent. Back to Me would be a great starter.
I actually have a Rose concert playing in my discord as I write this ahha We for sure have many people around me here ready to unleash the black rose wave onto me hahha I cant wait to get into my first reaction with yall!
Okay, so I just watched your triple song vocal line BTS performance. You mentioned doing the rap line with Cypher pt 1-4. They are very hard songs. However, from the Japan concert (The Truth Untold), there are the 3 solo rap songs, with English subtitles - JHope's Trivia: Just Dance, Suga's Trivia: Seesaw, and RM's Trivia: Love - all are spectacular and you'll be pleasantly surprised that Suga can sing well!!!! Also, from this same concert are the vocal line solos, with English subtitles, which are fabulous - Jin's Epiphany, Jimin's Serendipity, JK's Euphoria and Tae's Singularity, all 7 from the same album!!!!
**hugs** We all miss them, but what we all have is love and care for eachother in this time. The best thing I think of is that they are not gone forever. There is a day they will be back! THAT is the best feeling!!!!
Rappers can rap about superficial things and just have fun with a song. They also can rap to diss someone. But they also can rap about real issues or trying to comfort others. That’s what real rappers do. Versatility.
While I could go on and on about IU, her voice, her soul etc I will give you just 1 piece of information as to why you need to check her out. In January on 2023 Rolling Stone Magazine released an update to their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. IU became the 1st Korean to ever make the list. When you look at the list and in laude only people who are still currently active IU becomes one of the 10 best singers in the world today. Her backstory is amazing and her talents expand will beyond music, as she is an outstanding actresses and model as well. She writes, composes and produces her music as well (not all of it as her time is in more nar growing demand.
Thank you for the Snooze and People reactions. I'm not sure that I get People2, because IU's lyrics confuse me--I'm not sure what she's really saying. Logistical question: Lately it seems that as soon as reactors stop watching the video, they kick off some other musical track for background noise. It's really distracting! What is the rationale? I still have Suga's music in my ears, and don't want the competition from some modern-type elevator music.
The "modern-Type elevator music" you are referring to is in this case a beautiful instrumental piano version of "life goes on". Just in case you didn't recognize it.
@@setamaschai4928 Sorry, not the ending credits, but in his discussion 6-7 minutes in, after Snooze. Maybe a different piece by Sakimoto? It's just barely audible now, but distracting to those of us who can't easily distinguish sounds.
When you enjoy yourself it is enjoyable for reactors. Watch alot of the behind the scenes with BTS. The complete chaotic mess. It's very enjoyable as they are having fun .... being a complete mess
@GoMaster I am a BlackRose who recently joined ARMY. As I was listening to Woosung from TheRose, I found this gem.... I loved Snooze and started to look into Suga, he was my gateway to the BTS black hole 🕳️. 😅😂 I am enjoying watching your RUclips videos as I was going through the same emotions right there with you.
You need to check out Woosung and his Kband The Rose. He has an AMAZING voice.
I have seen a couple of videos of the rose, but I haven't really gotten into their music. But from what I remember, they are alternative and very creative :) Woosungs voice is another level!
I love Agust D so much. This song gives me chills.
Right?! This one I revisit when I need to get put of my own head
This is one of the reasons why following your BTS journey is so satisfying tbh: You get it! You get what they're saying and what they want for us.
You still need to listen to Paradise though (yes, I'll keep pushing for that one 'cause I truly believe you need to hear it's message 😉). 😁👍
💜
He won't tolerate anyone talking themselves down in front of him 😂
Snooze is pretty much that in a song.
Your validation to give urself a break. Just be yourself
I've really come so far on this journey... and we are only half way there 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🩶
Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
My two favourite songs from any bts member or even the group. Snooze and people are so special to me.
Can’t really get into people pt2 bc the English parts make no sense to me but the other two are so amazing
Borahee
Ahhhh i needed this so bad right now.... Thank you Master, how are you?
Suga is my ultimate bias 💜 new subscriber here. Thank you for your reaction. They are all my favorite songs from Yoongi.
I agree - the world is too full of anger and anger-causing situations. Thank heaven BTS gives us something else to think about!
good reaction~~~~thank you~~~💜💜💜
Thank you so much for watching!
This!!! One of my fave songs of all time x
I truly love it! Good choice for an all time ! 💜✨️💜✨️💜
Beautiful Song only AGUST-D 🫰💜
Haaaa I can’t even finish watching this right now from crying… I’ll be back. 😮😮😮😅😢😢😢
Snooze is my favorite song on D-Day it definitely spoke to my soul and have found myself repeating the line “everything will be ok” (in Yoongi’s voice) in my head at work when it all becomes too much. When I got to see it performed in person it felt an out of body experience, I’m not sure I was breathing properly the whole time 😂
Our Yoongi has a way to make us feel so loved and cherished just with his words💜
That’s not even the best translation of “People” and yet the message is clear 🤧
I hope better days come soon for you. Hugs. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Afterwatching this while also talking with my love, it shook me out of my head. These last couple of days have been a breath of fresh air!
Thanks for your reaction
This song always makes me cry
Suga jest najlepszym z najlepszych.Nie rozumiem dlaczego ta piosenka nie jest na szczycie list przebojów.!!!!
RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook announced last night that they have all began the military enlistment process and will be leaving sometime in December. 🥺💔
Admiring your honesty to yourself.
I really recommend suga seasaw one of the best songs of him
I will be sure to check it out! I'm gonna a be doing a DEEP dive on his trilogy over the holidays here and I wanna get into his full albums.
This makes me miss him. 😢
**hugs** We all miss them, but what we all have is love and care for eachother in this time. The best thing I think of is that they are not gone forever. There is a day they will be back! THAT is the best feeling!!!!

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 OT7 FOREVER/ ARMY FOREVER!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Rappers can rap about superficial things and just have fun with a song. They also can rap to diss someone. But they also can rap about real issues or trying to comfort others. That’s what real rappers do. Versatility.
Y lo mejor que él compone y produce todo
That guitar is a Martin. Suga was a pandemic guitarist.
WOOSUNG…..🥰
Starting with U beautiful family 💯 U dreams will come true 🫶
Yoongi is special 💜 sharing his beautiful words & heart ➕️ U2🫰
💜🇧🇷
I can relate to what you said. Suga songs help me through a lot with my anxiety.
Please say some words about the announcement today that the younger four members have begun their enlistment process.
Suga is genius no one be like him ❤
Suga teaches us so much in his own way! For this I love him for it! Our own tour guide on this walk of life 💜💜💜💜
16x Everything will be ok. ..think of it as mantra like an affirmation so you can believe it will come true.
This is something that hasn't changed in my life. When things get really crazy in life I'm constantly repeating this in my head
I am enjoying watching your RUclips videos as I was going through the same emotions right there with you. I'm a bit ahead as I already started learning more about BT21 and the whole new world of BU. But you should also do some reactions to TheRose.

Snooze and People are two of my favorite Suga songs. They hit me hard! 🥰
