You made a very understandable video now but the problem is how you portrayed it in the last video. Use of the word SCAM & putting title "Redmi Note 10 Pro" In the title, showed that you are targeting Redmi, even if it's not true, Audience believed it. I got many many messages who sent your video believing that Redmi is doing a Scam with 1200nits, While clearly it reached its peak in HDR in this video of yours. So Clearly, You also made mistake at first. And there is a lot of points that still debatable as I mentioned in my Display brightness test video but I don't wanna drag anything.. I just wanna say this.. Sometimes a Consumer car can have peak speed as same as a Racing car.. But it doesn't mean both will perform the same. I wouldn't say it's a scam, but it's definitely kinda misleading. Like I showed in this video, even OnePlus can light up a very tiny part of the screen and amp up the brightness and claim 1400 or 1500 nits. End of the day, when someone looks at "1200 nits" on the specsheet, I don't want them to think "wow, that's almost as good as some flagships' 1300" because in many practical scenarios, it's noticeably less bright than the said flagships. Sure, in very few tight scenarios (like the HDR clip I showed in this video) the Note 10 Pro Max comes very close but that's not a very practical use case is it? That was my whole point. I never blamed the display itself. It's a fantastic display!

I have even noticed a few problems with the display of 10 pro max. 1. The display's viewing angles are not good, it turns bluish if you see from the corners. I compared it with samsung m01 which has tft lcd display and the samsung was better in terms of viewing angle. 2. It's display doesn't produce accurate colours in very low brightness. Like it turns dark grey colour into purple when the brightness is low.
Bro even tv brands like Sony and samsung quote the peak brightness ..which is generally the 10% peak window ..so it's fine if phones are reaching the peak in small HDR window...
02:15 you've got it wrong again. You multiply the nits value by π ("pi"): 3.14159 to get "LUX". Eg: 10 Nits = 10 x 3.14159 = 31.4159 Lux. But your light meter although it says Lux it's showing in Nits..for sure

But during the launch event they did claim a sustained brightness of 450 nits, but a peak brightness of 1200. But they did try to compare their display with an iphone 12 so yeah, big marketing gimmick.

And one more thing missed “contrast ratio”..contrast ratio eventually is a measure.. how display handles the quality of a content at high brightness as equal to low brightness.... 4.5 laks is low for 1200 nits ( even if that mobile reaches 1200 nits the content will get over exposed kinda effect ) .. apple uses 2 million 75% higher contrast ratio for 1200 nits.. so my point also nits not important..

Do the S21 or the iPhone 12+ always render 1000+ NITS but these 20-40k phones only occasionally throttle
Display brightness claim is no different that battery backup claim. "Under Specific conditions"
And here my Smsng reduces peak brightness when I go in sunlight for 2-3 mins -_-
