- In this video I will walk you through the install of my new Sprint P08 air filter on my 2022 Hayabusa. The Sprint P08 is the street version and the Sprint P08 F1 is the air filter you want for racing on track. The install procedures will be the same regardless of which air filter you decide to go with.

Awesome.. Finally, upgraded my air filter. My BMC racing filter actually had the screw prong mounts where the screws push into.. Great video as always!

The filter looks smaller than I would of thought but if it does the job, that's all that matters.
The old one definitely had a bit of dirt, however nothing too bad looking, seen a lot worse😅

Really enjoying your Busa videos, thanks for taking the time to share them. The tank prop is a good idea, better than a wooden stick. An enterprising dude such as yourself could make & market them or could at least post a drawing with dimensions would be a great help. Feel better soon mate from the UK

Yeah brother we can hear the sniffles. Yup it was time to change that filter. We didi our own on the wings, what a pain in the ass. BTW your sound and camera work is excellent. Bike sounds good

Unrelated question, have you ever tried to adjust the headlight beam ? not much info out there and I still cannot figure if high beam can be adjusted separately.....

I will admit, for an air filter that looks rather annoying, I wish manufacturer's did more to make bikes easily serviceable for consumables like that!! They should definitely stick to supplying tank holders, it's just rude. Oh a non poka yoked filter, that makes me sad. Shouldn't be able to put it in backwards! Nice video amigo. I want a busa :(

I changed the filter on my V7 for a K&N, did it at th same time as the exhausts, never got the bike remapped though, so possibly should have looked into that.
That's the next thing I need done is a remap.
How clean is your airbox now after installing the sprint air filter and riding with it compared to when you had the oem filter? I want to install one on my bike but I'm seeing mixed reviews about it.
About to pull it and see rode through a lot of rain on my way back from Tennessee so interested to see how much grime is in there also they sell two different ones, one for street and one for track

I am the same way about buying mods and holding on to them for months before installing 🤣 Do you use a microphone for your audio? It sounds great!
I use a Zoom F2 audio recorder. It's super small and compact great for the garage vids. For voice over stuff I also have a Zoom H4n Pro but it's a bit big and bulky to use walking around in the garage working on bikes.

We are trying to buy a roll cage so when we drop our bike it will be really easy to pick it back up, sadly no one is selling many mods for the gen 3 busa and some of those that do they dont have any in stock :(
About to enter 2023 and we still have supply issues, makes me sad.
How is it compared to stock? Does it keeps the airbox clean?
Here is a more recent vid where I cleaned it for the first time. I felt like maybe it was a bit to dusty on the clean side of the airbox but IDK. Hard to say really. I'm tempted to pull the airbox cover on my ZX10 which runs a K&N just to compare.

6:02 look how clean that looks on the vel stack side, you can eat off it. I dont think it was as clean when you serviced the sprint. Just saying.
I agree. I think I'm going to switch to a K&N which is what I run on my other bikes.

How long after I have to change it ?
The stock filter is a throw away, I would change mine after the first 7500 miles. The sprint filter is a reusable filter you can clean. I would also clean it every 7500 miles. If you ride in lots of rain or dusty environments you might want to clean it more often. But basically I clean them with oil changes.
