I just picked up my 25th Anniversary Busa today. What a joy to ride. Its comfortable & smooth. The quick shifter is 10 times better than my 13 S1000rr was. More nimble than my 08 Busa was too.
Thank you so much Chris! I really enjoyed hanging out with you and Kountry, you both were super cool. One thing I didn’t think to tell you is those bikes haven’t been ridden since September and the gas in the tanks is about 5 months old. They may have done a little better with fresh gas. I may want to bring them back to get ceramic transmission bearings installed in both bikes. I think the ceramic transmission bearings would definitely wake the 1000 up.
I’m with this fella, im knocking on 50yrs old, iove the litre bikes but after 35-45min i need a break & my gal pal rides with me most time and modern litre bikes suck for that too, these days i have a 22 ZX-14R, a 23 Hayabusa, and a little CBR650R for easy going cruising
I had the opportunity to take the bike out yesterday and made about 7 or 8 pulls from around 30 to 170mph. Bike is obviously ramping up to speed a lot faster! The main thing I noticed is I was running past redline into the 11.5 area and not hitting the rev limiter until around 11.7 or 11.8. The cams are definitely well worth the money.
Chris, I think you need to point out the TORQUE difference over a liter bike. HP is matched around 190 but the Busa has 30% MORE TORQUE- 110 vs 85. Factor in this 30% increase in torque with the 190 HP holding an additional 1500 rpm and this Busa should be an absolute screamer of a rocket. If only we can get video of a roll on race (before and after cams) against a liter bike. Once again, please add in a 30 second clip of the customer reaction, post tune ride. Thanks Chris for the content.
Normally I would agree were it not for the fact that the Kawasaki Ninja Zx14 has the largest displacement engine on offering of any Supersport bike with an inline 4. Really, if everyone loves and fears liter bikes then how will they react to a 1,441 cc engine in a bike? Conjecture.
would be a really good video on how to set up the suspension for those bikes for roll/drag racing but nonetheless another banger from the legend MOOREMAIFA
Good video ! We have a few wanting to do this setup. Good to see they are pulling up at higher rpms now. That drop in power is brutal on the oem setup. 👍
If the only numbers people pay attention to are weight and horsepower, they're missing half the equation. The GSX-R1000 is around 86 ft-lb torque. The Hayabusa makes 110 ft-lb torque. Tell me that's insignificant, and I'll sell you some ocean front property in Nebraska.
I'm asking because I dont know, but Brock's website shows dyno numbers for these cams putting out 210 hp and 120 ft. Lbs. of torque in a busa. Why is there such a huge power difference between their busa and this one? I'd invest in these cams for 210 hp and 120 lbs. of torque, but not for 190 hp.
Kind of off topic but has your shop had any complaints about the new gsxs1000 engine knock on warm start up that lasts about 15 seconds. Years prior didn't do this nor did the k5 gsxr.
Hey Chris, I have 2011 600 gxsr, and wanted to know if you'll do my ecu flash. Will it trip on the engine light or anything like that? I just do want to have to take it to the shop and have someone else work on something that I did to my 🏍.
@@exothermal.sprocket because the engine in the hayabusa is bigger. Bigger stroke = more leverage = more torque. I was just wondering why the busa couldn't rev higher with the new cams and velocity stacks. I was expecting at least 200whp but i clearly don't know much about busa's.
Busa’s power for a 1300 CC bike, to me is disappointing. I feel they should be well over the 200 hp range. Especially a new model Busa. M1000, Zx10’s and the Ducati’s are all in they 200 HP range. To each of his own!
@@postmortemspasm That would be a problem in a drag race between the two lol. I know what a few Super Stock riders went on the Hayabusa and the ZX14R. I just think it would be interesting to see the battle? In Super Stock, how fast do you think the Busa can go under the class rules with the addition of the cams? 🤔 As it stands, the ZX14R is hard to beat in that class. Don't think I'm bashing the ZX14R lol

I really like that red/orange color 👍
The 08 I had felt way more powerful than the gen 3’s. Hell my 06 felt stronger

Noted!
Busa all the way I’ve got two and a bking and love them even with having two gsxr 750s I still love my busas
Another great video, those cams definitely wake up the busa. Putting up ZX14 numbers now.
not really. he has a video of a zx14 with filter and exhaust and his tune doing 200hp on pump gas and then 207hp with race gas.
@@turboboy0 I meant a stock one, I know they make 200 with simple bolt ones and tune. I own one 👍🏻

Yo Terry dont ever forget where you from the local Boys have always been there for you (757) 💯
i live my passion for bikes with rims racing and ride on the edge 3 video games and with moore mafia's videos ❤
I’m buying mine tomorrow. I can’t wait. It will be my 3rd, last being an 08, my first 04.
I had 06 and 08 before the 3rd gen… 3rd gen feels so weak compared
I'd like to see that Busa with those cams and a Brett Barber cnc ported cylinder head and throttle bodies. I'm sure that will definitely wake it up.
Cant go wrong having both of them. I think i have the Gixxer set up for the track, and the busa just to ride around as a show bike. 😎
Mr Cris always the master of the Best

caught you in time on my lunch break
Busa all day. Gixer mabe the weekend.
Not convinced with these to be honest. My tuned 23 makes 187hp with a full Akrapovic system and DNA filter. No way is this worth doing for 3hp.
Awesome video!
Thanks!
So your telling me a stock bmw s1000 with a tune makes the same power? Damn I’m impressed
I love that exaust.. I wonder what it sounds like with pops and bangs

Now a good head & that about all i need.
Just ordered these cams today need to get reflashed the guy i bought the bike from had a moore mafia tune originally.
These are literally oem Suzuki gen 2 hayabusa cams.
This is a diminishing returns if the cam is too big for the port flow.
Where did you get your info?
Because Suzuki factory designed this bike to operate at max flow?
No they did not.
Thanks but what cam did you get as you said you were going to tell us in the next video ?.
Will these cams fit Gen 2 Busa engines?? Heard if you use 2 intakes cams it’s better performance? Any facts to this sir
can you put ZX14 cam on concours 14-- web cams got ground cams for concours 14-- be great 20-30 hp on concours 14 with VVT! new
California should be subsidizing other states owners to drop in new cams, ridiculous.

any specs for these cams, cam card available?

Do the cams need to be degreed in or just line the marks up?

Can you degree the cams for 'overlap'???

Why does a gsxr 1000 make 194hp and a 1300cc speed machine make "only" 190hp?
Why does the GSX-R1000 make 85 ft-lb torque, and the Hayabusa make 110 ft-lb torque?
