The thing that bothers me is the rioters are getting sentenced and punished as they should but not one congressman or senator is being punished for their part.

Fanone is in a picture with Kathy Griffin who posted, look who came over for a cup of F Trump. His dad is a lawyer that’s been after Trump for literally years. Fanone wasn’t even in uniform that day, he was dressed like an antifa supporter. He’s also in photos visiting with Pelosi and other Dems a few months before testifying.
There are tons of videos including that of body worn cameras by police out at this point that clearly show some police officers literally beating people, shooting people with rubber bullets, setting off flash bangs and with zero warning. No officers were hurt by protesters, one had a stroke after and the others killer themselves supposedly. The Sargent in arms testified early on that there were instigators within but unfortunately he passed away mysteriously not that long ago.
I find it stunning that so many people still don’t get that they aren’t getting the whole story. If it was all as the press and Dems claim then why wouldn’t they happily release all the video from that day at the Capitol? How is it they were able to identify, get the required warrants etc so quickly for some people that day but they haven’t been able to identify who left the supposed bombs? They had a cell phone on them as shown in videos. That’s aside from the fact that supposedly the bombs were placed the night before with a 1 hour timer that was not able to be detonated remotely, they were found a mere 20 minutes before 1 pm before the first breech on the Capitol occurred.the bomb squad wasn’t called in like usual, the areas weren’t cleared either which seems odd. Revolver.com has tons of info on it all documented by video from the cameras in DC and yet 18 plus months later we don’t even know the gender of the person.

I have total emphathy for Michael Fanone and I also have the utmost respect for him. I cannot imagine what he's been through. When he speaks he does it with authenticity, clarity, and soul-shaking honesty. Whatever it takes to enable him to be at peace again, I want him to get it.

You make very certain and sweeping judgements here - we've no idea that the man has "*no integrity or dignity whatsoever*". Feelings run high in a court room, often things slip out - judges know this. European Courts give people the opportunity to learn something - a chance to remedy their poor behaviour. Then that is a key difference between the American and European approaches to criminal justice, I suppose.
Ejecting that man from the court solves nothing; he learnt nothing. No wonder American jails are full to bursting with such staggering levels of recidivism. You invest in so few interventions that actually _change_ criminal behaviour... 😒

@@godfathaofyo The protests against police brutality were sometimes peaceful and sometimes violent. In some cases, law enforcement was overwhelmed or chose to do nothing. In other cases, it was law enforcement that started the violence.
In any case, those participating in those protests who engaged in violence and destruction of property should be punished. I am not defending them.
And just so you understand, it wasn't CNN advocating violent protests, but rather a talking head or someone that was interviewed on CNN.
That all said, of course most empathetic, intelligent people feel bad for any cops that were beaten or murdered, unless of course, they were the aggressors.
But what does that have to do with this guy's story?
We saw the videos. To justify the violence at the Capitol, or to equivocate it with the protests against police brutality is ridiculous.
This was a riot encouraged and sanctioned by certain people in power who now defend it, despite it being an obvious insurrection that put the lives of legislators, as well as the Vice President, in serious danger.

He worked for DC metropolitan police for 20 years--the majority as an undercover cop--surely he deserves more than he received in no retirement and medical benefits! He is divorced and has 4 daughters--those daughters were what gave him the strength to survive his multiple attacks and heart attack on J6. He is a young man--in his 40s--he has a lot of experience to share in many positive ways. He voted for Drumpf in 2016--I hope he has an opportunity during TFG trial to tell him exactly how he feels about him and let him know he is a traitor, a whiny baby, AND a piece of _hit!

I think the judge should’ve reconvened with the evidence that the mom’s statement as well as Young’s were BS and given a longe sentence.
It was stated during the interview that this was the *maximum* sentence allowed so the judge could not have altered the sentence, whatever you or I might think.
She gave h the maxim. Interrupting the court would have to be a new charge
