I really like the challenger and the big boys but 765 has to be one of the most beautiful steam locomotives with the best sounding steam whistle ive ever heard
Fantastic video with great sound again! Sadly I was unable to make it up last year but watching your video is almost like being there. Thanks for posting.
I love the Cuyahoga Valley Aria the scenery priceless and Has became one of my newest favorite Places to film the Trains in the Aria, also fantastic Job on catching the 765!!

One of the best steam power videos I’ve seen. I wonder if Amtrak tried a regular steam service on a journey if it would be popular? Riding by steam between cities would be so awesome
...... Elas parecem ser compatíveis com as locomotivas a diesel ...... Imaginem com os caminhões ...... Creio que ainda teremos que voltar a elas ......
Thanks for another fantastic video with NKP 765. Some inclement weather mixed in but, even though it makes for difficult filming, I feel the rain enhances live steam. You've done a marvelous job at capturing 765 in this setting for a couple of years now and they are all a pleasure to view. If I relocate to Conneaut I believe it is roughly a 1.5 hour trip to the Valley. Thanks again.
dferg100 Sorry if I misled you. My wife and I were in Conneaut Aug. 31th through Sept. 8th but weren't able to travel to the Cuyahoga Valley. I was able to see quite a few CSX freights hammer through Conneaut during our stay. Thanks again for a great video.
Never thought of myself as a rail fan but since I made your video I guess I am. thanks for sharing. We road that morning so seeing the other angle is great. I've posted my shaky cell phone video of her pulling in on my channel.
I remember when the Boston & Main Railroad was still under steam, and my parents would take me for rides. Even though the engine scared me, it was exciting.
Hey DFerg, just a great video! Shots are clear and steady, and your sound quality is awesome. Ofcourse it helps that the subject matter is putting on an excellent show aswell (Cudos to 765 and her team!). Especially at 7:30, when she starts digging in. Love how she runs off the guy (in red) with a quick clear of the cylinders. Well done on the video - subscription and thumbs up. BTW, loved the last 765 (2011) in the valley that you did too. The opening scene is just incredible! A remarkable capturing of 765's renowned 'shot gun' blasts. I don't know about others, but your sound recording comes across my system very clear, and awesomely loud. Keep up the good work!
I hope Canadian pacific 1293 will return to the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad one day since 765 kinda took her place it be even cooler if both of them are together there one year so they can douldhead the entire time and to make it 10 times the better
Another masterpiece. Wonderful technique! One great scene after another in the lush verdant countryside and as an added plus hearing her lonesome whistle in stereo. As a whole this piece shows what a workhorse 765 really is, not afraid of winding grades and the occasional associated wheel slippage. dferg100, are you a Hollywood cinematographer who is just recording these scenes to keep your skills sharp? You have very high studio quality production values.
Where is that shot at 1:30? Also, where is the shot at 8:24 and 10:15? I am trying to make a video this fall and I am trying to find cool shots for it. Also, I like how you went to some new locations! It is cool to see a video as great as yours.
I think at this time a channel named GWR Studios pointed out that people were recording this train as it goes by, and I think in this spot you were pointed out by him! ( ruclips.net/video/AH5muqWM9XY/видео.html )
I'm sure 765 doesn't need help pulling that train so is the diesel tacked on the back done for the sake of signaling and powering the amenities of the passenger cars or is there something else I'm not aware of? BTW Wonderful video . Thanks for posting!
That tis what we called "The Fog Horn". Something about we didn't have like an extra useable horn around or something like that was why it was out on... Unfortunately can recall exactly why we had it for the week
The rainy day. I am way in the back with a ball cap on taking a video as she pulled into the station. When we pulled out I can see my son's shirt in the second window of the second heavyweight car too.
2:38 Check out all the camera-dorks looking the wrong way !! Hey dorks !! Here's your full-bore side view !! She'll be gone in 6 little seconds !!! WHAT the hell ARE YOU doing ???!!!.... At least> dferg100 < has got his head on straight !!! Great camera/audio work from you !!!... Hey dorks !! At least turn around and salute her once again as she passes ! How jaded can you get ??!!
Where as I love to see and hear the old steamers. The effect is always ruined for me when you see those damn desiel's attached to them.....to me it just break's the whole nostalgic effect.
When people ask why I like trains I just show them this video.
It makes things so much easier.

She's a beautiful beast!
I always find it interesting that people who are well clear of the tracks still back away when that magnificent machine bears down on them.
It's not just that its huge, It's actually very hot.
That whistle is just a screamin. LOVE IT!!!
OMG IT'S WONDERFUL VIDEO RECORDING AFTER COVID LOCKDOWN WE LIKE STEAM ENGINE SOUNDS 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Love the Nickel Plate Road and this video is well done, thanks!!
I remember them going by my house as a little boy. You could hear it coming from miles away.
I really like the challenger and the big boys but 765 has to be one of the most beautiful steam locomotives with the best sounding steam whistle ive ever heard
Can't agree more. It used to operate in West Virginia on the new river trains in the 90s.
That Whistle Is Screamin at 11:09!!! Absolutely love it!!!!
I love the whistle on 765
Fantastic video with great sound again! Sadly I was unable to make it up last year but watching your video is almost like being there. Thanks for posting.
I rode one of these excursions when I was little. They used an F unit for the diesel instead of that Alco.
My second favorite next to 2156
I love the Cuyahoga Valley Aria the scenery priceless and Has became one of my newest favorite Places to film the Trains in the Aria, also fantastic Job on catching the 765!!
its a great place, check my new Steam in The Valley 2017 Filmed in 4K

4:13 That's an awesome horn! 😁
cellogirl11RW Diesels have horns. Steam Engines have whistles. Hope this helps. Im not being smart.
John Young Hope you realize, he or she meant the horn on the Diesel engine
I remember when the Boston & Main Railroad was still under steam, and my parents would take me for rides. Even though the engine scared me, it was exciting.
Great video. Love the shot at 2:05
thanks

WHO WANTS THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVES FOREVER
I do, but sadly in a few years they might be taken off the tracks for good due to these clueless climate change battling nerds.
So enjoy this while you can. I myself doesn't want that to happen. I'm against these climate change gossiping nerds.
Lets make a revolution
Ronan Vave We had better keep this video hid from AOC !!!
Wow nice video
miss the days when steam in the valley meant EVERY weekend
What beautiful train ride
GReat rail production
