@@bradmeek Just 1k? I mean I've heard of people pushing some 3krms subs to 4-5k for short demo runs.. but this is an american bass sub we are talking about. Not hating on american bass, just saying they aren't known for taking insane amounts of over power. At minimum this sub is 5krms overpowered, if not more.

A lot of hate but honestly, even though it's messy, it gets down.. Bigger box and port means less power handling and more excursion/output. If he turned the amp down a bit this would be a long lasting set up. At the end of the day he's just pushing limits 🤷

They weren't VFL they were a different side of American Bass it's was a 12inch 3000/6000watt American Bass VFL more or less the XFLs bigger brother

Of course 2500 watt amp definitely needs a new alt,but I'd like to be able to safely push about 1200 watts until I get a upgraded alt.

American bass hawk series are the choice to go with if we're talking American bass and daily. I had 2 hawk series 10s and I can confidently say that they are the most underrated subwoofer on the market.
Look all that management, the cables, batteries and all that stuff there in the truck, wonder how he blew the subwoofer, a think the chips make the bass louder 😂, definitely a wouldn’t do that management in my truck.

I've been running a Skar EVL-12 and RP-1500.1d daily for 3 years now with 0 issues. Build the correct box for it and it slaps
I had some SDRs from Skar until they were stolen. They beat pretty good for what they were. I had them right on the cusp of being overpowered daily with no issues

You'd be surprised, due to the enclosure volume which I guess to be about 8 cube using a 11" port that long will tune to around 35hz.

The box was made for SPL not SQL the box is build to spec for those 12s
@@sts2010ful "12's".....only 1 in there. Twice the air space and twice the port = less power to reach xmax and port will unload the sub.

My old tahoe had 4 15s and one caught fire and burnt my whole truck
This dude is pushing at least double the power the sub can take.. Then the fricking xmax on that sub is probably like 20mm with a 26mm mech.. That sub is definitely over extending, that box and port are WAY too big. I don't understand why someone would want to burn up a 700$ sub, I mean yea you can recone it, but still a waste of money. Dude could put 6 x 100$ skar 12's in there and get tons more spl.
