Teoh thank you very much for answering me on the YOGA BOOK review, I have a galaxy tab 3, if which pen would you indicate to be able to use it as a writing or drawing notebook can support your hand on the touch screen? That is, that will give me a palm reject support.? Thanks for the comprehension.
Now that I've had my tablet, not one illustrated but cheaper version.i can write quite flently on it at first I was not used to it.after 3 months off and on I can write and probably draw anything.so if you boughta tablet and don't feel with it writing.work on it.also in one note it helps to use columns before writing and erase them later if you like neatness.it really helps draw top bottom in a wild colour then 2 to 3 columns then erase rose when done.in time it's paper.
Hello, pls can you answer me? I would like to use it for note taking on the University, but when I writing, i like to touch with my hand the tablet). Idk, can my touching disturb the screen when i writing with pen?
Fülöp Ádám No, having your palm on the screen does not interfere with the writing, I tried it at a computer store. This feature is called palm rejection, and it is not specific to this tablet only.

hey bro can u help me? , im looking for an app where i can write whit the keyboard cover of the tab s3 and when i want to draw something in the same app( simulating a notebook) use the s-pen, do u know some one? i currently using one-note and inkredible
The Galaxy Tab S3 is really excellent for OneNote. I have big notebooks with many file attachments, and it works flawlessly and even faster than my Surface Pro 4 in opening and syncing OneNote. For long handwritten notes with sketches and equations, for me the S-Pen with the 0.7mm tip is way superior than Apple Pencil which has a bigger tip.
i am currently using tab s3 and i have used onenote for a long time. but lately onenote shows a weird little bug when i write with s pen, the strokes doesn't stay in place right after i lift my pen from the screen, it moves a little bit to the top left mostly. does anyone experience this problem?
Hi, I am planning to buy a used tablet / convertible for PDF editing and writing (Pen). My budget is around 350€ max used. Are there any used tablets you could recommend? My samsung tab s3 is more delay than yours to write and draw. I write on samsung notes and draw on medibang paint. Is that any way to speed up the delay?
+Dave Rogers You need software that can do that. However I don't know of any based on my current knowledge. I'm sure there are software that can convert handwriting.

Great video - answered a lot of my questions. I am a BIG OneNote user (8+ yrs) and have always purchased Windows tablets (HP TC1000, 1100, og Surface Pro) but would like a smaller, lighter ($cheaper) device to carry around and the Tab S3 looks perfect! Microsoft updated OneNote on Android a couple of days ago ... can you check to see if that lag has improved?
A great video! Is it possible on Samsung to divide the screen into 2 parts so that you can open a pdf on one side of the screen and notes on the other side of the screen? Can it record lectures? And can you annotate pdfs? Thanks!!!
Teoh, thanks for the great review. I was trying to find out if the Tab S3 supported palm rejection technology and your video answered that as well as what app would be best suited with the S Pen. I am going to purchase one right now. Thanks!!!
+MSD BFB I'm not sure if there is Microsoft Word on Android tablets. But if there is, you can use the stylus. S Pen only works with selected Samsung devices.

When it comes to capturing much of the details of one's real handwriting, how does tabs3 compare to ipad pro 12"2017? second generation. Which one is more representative of your real handwriting on paper? I tested Note8 and found oit captures 100% of my handwriting in normal to fast speed. But it's a phone not a notetaking tablet. I have seen you have done a Art centred comparison between tabs3 and ipad pro but i didn't see any points on handwriting/notetaking experience. I am really curious to know which tablet feels more comfortable to write on?
iPad Pro is excellent at taking notes. It's able to capture my handwriting very well. But handwriting accuracy also depends on the app used. Both Tab S3 and iPad Pro are good at taking notes. The main difference is the feel due to the pen design and the apps available on the platform.
hi thank you for the useful video. i have question, though. does galaxy tab s3 has the live message function? - if yes, can you show where, please? - if no, is there an option to install and how? thanks in advance
What is the difference between the Galaxy Tab S3(SM-T820) and the Galaxy Tab A(SM-P580)? I am looking for a tablet for mostly note taking, reading etext and watching videos, not much gaming or intense use. The Tab A is a lot cheaper than the Tab 3 which makes me question the the main differences. The only reason I'm leaning towards the Tab S3 is because the pen looks more comfortable since it's thicker. Thanks
Hi. I got the Inkredible Pro on my Tab S3. Been having some really quirky issues with it. I don't know if you had experienced something similar. My issue is during writing, it will sometimes, just not pick up anything from the pen and it will take a lot of swirling the s pen around before this app picks up the 'signal' and continue to write. I have complained to them and they have asked me to do a couple of things to diagnose, but I don't think they understand the issue clearly.
Does the problem only happen with Inkredible Pro? I did not have that problem with Inkredible, although I have it with Medibang Paint Pro on rare occasions. Try Samsung Notes and Squid apps too. Samsung Notes is good for taking notes too, and there should be no problems.
Teoh Yi Chie Yes only with Inkredible. I got the Squid and bought the tools but not the subscription. I really like it. But I do miss the writing instruments offered by Inkredible. And the look of the paper. Bought the Bamboo as well but not so impressed with it. Too basic.
Samsung Tab S3 with S Pen. It's more accurate. Has good pressure sensitivity, flawless palm rejection, ability to expand storage via microSD card, battery does not require charging, and the drawing apps are as good as iOS apps, and it's cheaper (I think) because the S Pen is included.
Tab S3. Im using it for my lectures. productivity wise, i believe it's more than the ipad. it could meet my everyday pen and paper needs and yeah go paperless lol. im using one note for its platform compatibility and versatility. expandable memory for me is very important too!
Would have loved the video to be much longer, e.g. specific functions for each app (formulas, etc.), other paper styles and longer texts. Like the sound and style of your video. Thumbs up.
Teoh Yi Chie That would be awesome. You are one of very few people highlighting the note taking capabilities of the Galaxy Tab S3. There are douzens of videos regarding the iPad Pro for studying, but almost none for the Galaxy Tab S3.
Teoh Yi Chie - and you have a pleasant sounding voice which makes listening enjoyable. There are only a few reviewers like that which is a plus to add to the information you impart. Thank you.
Guy I need some recommendations, I'm looking for ,mainly for taking note in the class.i hate my surface 4 the battery is bother most ,it not easy to share it with the onenote too. So thank in advance
Hi Thanks for the video. I have some questions:- 1)i was looking for a tablet for note taking, but while taking notes, i kind of do a lot of undoing and redoing, so is there any app on s3 which has shortcuts that i can customise for it?? 2) Will the battery last if i take notes continuesly for a day on s3 since l am a med student and there's a lot of note taking to be done??? 3) best stylus and apps (considering shortcut features on stylus and app) for note taking on ipad pro??? 4) I had tabA with spen but the problem was when I would rest my palm on the screen and write notes l would frequently touch back button and everything would close. Do you find that problem too with tab s3???
+Nudhair Ahmed 1. Some apps have the undo button on the screen. 2. Battery should last whole day, 10 hours or more. It can charge 1% per minute so it should not be a problem even when battery is low. 3. iPad Pro best stylus is the Apple Pencil. There a lot of good apps on iPad. Wacom Bamboo Paper, Penultimate. 4. I always turn the tablet upside down when taking notes to prevent touching the back button.
Teoh Yi Chie I wouldn't suggest to use cheap magnetic cases at least in my experience, it messed up with my display and touchscreen on my Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and after a month not using it touchscreen it got back to normal
Replace them when they are blunt. How fast they wear out will depend on how often you write. S Pen tip replacements are not expensive. You can compare prices on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress.
Can you turn off pressure sensitivity in the tablet?? And can you write on the powerpoint app?? I have a Surface Pro 3 and I write on OneNote, it is the best software for me according to the quality of the handwriting, but I don't like that it is impossible to get a continous document like word or powerpoint. But word and powerpoint don't have the option to turn off pressure sensitivity (I don't like pressure sensitivity and the quality is best for me without it), neither the surface has the option. I wish I could write on power point so my notes could be like a power point document and also without pressure sensitivity. Galaxy Tab S3 could meet my needs?? Thank you.
+WR88IcZw You cannot turn off pressure sensitivity on Tab S3. I'm also not sure if Microsoft Office apps are available on Android OS. I know they have Web apps though.
Hi Teoh, Before I ask my question I must say that I absolutely love your videos and have learned a lot! Thank you so much! So on to my question. Have you tried an app called FiiNote for android phone or tablet? I'm using it on my Galaxy Note. I've been trying to find a good in depth review / tutorial of it but nobody seems to have any really good info on it. If you have used it, could you send a link to your video review? Thanks in advance.
If you get some free time, check it out and let me know what you think. I'm still trying to figure it all out... Thanks again for ALL of your GREAT videos!! 😆
if note taking is the only purpose which one you will suggest tab s3 vs new ipad pro 10.5 . difficult to come to conclusion please help. which is one is more closer to paper leaving the extra feature of s pen i.e always connected , no battery etc . i can manage all the cons if it is close to real paper
+gunjan parashar If you want close to paper. You can just get a matte screen protector that makes it feel like you are writing on paper. As for whether S3 or iPad Pro is better. I would say iPad Pro may be slightly better because the refresh rate makes the strokes appearing more instant. As for accuracy, both tablets are very accurate. If you can, try them out at the store.
Do you think it would be alright if a buy the s3, just to use netflix, spotify and do some homework in word? I don't want to buy a laptop because I have one and I don't use it very much so I want something not that expensive to do that stuff and take it with me...
Can you please test how accurate the S Pen is on the Yoga Book and if it will even work?? Please! Yoga book pen has been giving me random jitters while I'm writing and I need to write notes in college.
How accurately does the Tablet convert your handwriting to Texts when you choose to use handwriting rather than keyboard for composing texts? My Note 10.1 2014 tablet still serves me well but I am thinking of upgrading.
It can capture handwriting quite well with the S Pen, depending on the app that you use of course. I use Wacom Bamboo Paper app for writing and it works really well for note taking. I'm not sure of any Android app that convert handwriting to digital text though. Do you have any recommendation?
Thanks for your reply. I use FiiNote on android and it does some kind of character recognition on my handwriting and then it comes out as proper Font. It does a pretty good job but does make mistakes that slows me down when writing. I am hoping the TAB S3 will do a better job to minimize the mistakes cos I write a lot. Thank you.
Can you do a New top 5 or 10 best stylus for iPad? I want a stylus to take notes in a iPad Air 2, I see one of your videos and I love the Adonit Pixel, but in your review you don’t talk a lot of note taking, I know the adonit is a little bit pricey but I want the best stylus, cause I don’t want pay for something that doesn’t work good in all aspects. Hope you make an update in that! Thank u!
Best stylus for taking notes are those small hard tips that allows one to write fast. There's Adonit Dash 3, Adonit Snap. However, there can be parallax DEPENDING on the tablet that you use, and also the orientation of the tablet, e.g. landscape vs portrait.
Teoh Yi Chie So the Adonit Dash or snap are better than the adonit pixel to take notes? I have a iPad Air 2, I want the stylus cause I don’t wanna have to use notebooks anymore, that’s why I want the best
The best would be Adonit Pixel, but that's also the most expensive. Please check which apps are supported by Adonit Pixel on their website Adonit.net. Apps that are supported are more accurate, those are usually the graphic drawing apps. Adonit Dash 3 and Snap however work on all apps, but there might be parallax depending on the app. Which is why I can't answer what is the best because Pen A with App A may be best, but you may be using Pen A with App C, or Pen B with App D. That's the state of the situation right now with iPad non-Pro and these styluses.
Hi Teoh, you use Tab S3, it's been year, right? So how has your Tab S3 performed so far? Is it getting slow (lagging)? And how's the battery? Does it drain quickly? I consider to purchase Tab S3, but many Samsung users complained that they experienced those things. I'd be very grateful if you answer this 😊
Are u using it with the Tab S3, because I am getting one in two weeks and was wondering what the experience is on that App in combination with the Tab S3?
How many rows you can write in this tab? And, when you finish the last row of first page, what happen next? Tab will extend more rows or you have to save and open another page? Thanks
Which cover do you use with this device? Are you able to recommend anything? For me the cover book (original one from Samsung - magnetic) is bit - how to say - dangerous for these glass surfaces..
You get so many tips with s3, While just one extra with galaxy book 12? It's sad , because I can not find Replace tips yet and whole pen is quite expensive.. how long do you think one tip will last ?
+Joseph Mcqueen -- I've used the S-pen for a long time. I do a lot of writing and those tips do wear down quickly for me. I remedied that by putting a thin coating of Bondic on the tip of one, and have never had to replace it since (with no scratching of my unprotected screen).
How is the palm rejection frfr? BC that is what will make or break me buying this BC there are some who claim that there is no palm rejection or that it barely works...
+Braden Mamen I prefer Tab S3. It's more intuitive to write and be able to see what you write beneath. Yoga Book has the advantage of being able to capture your strokes very accurately.
Thanks for this! I always just used the in-built Samsung notes for my stuff, but on a whim I watched your video and decided to go with Bamboo Paper... OMG Best decision ever! Thanks!

Teoh Yi Chie Yes only with Inkredible. I got the Squid and bought the tools but not the subscription. I really like it. But I do miss the writing instruments offered by Inkredible. And the look of the paper. Bought the Bamboo as well but not so impressed with it. Too basic.
Would you recommend getting the Samsung tablet or a regular iPad and the Adonit pixel?
Samsung Tab S3 with S Pen. It's more accurate. Has good pressure sensitivity, flawless palm rejection, ability to expand storage via microSD card, battery does not require charging, and the drawing apps are as good as iOS apps, and it's cheaper (I think) because the S Pen is included.
Tab S3. Im using it for my lectures. productivity wise, i believe it's more than the ipad. it could meet my everyday pen and paper needs and yeah go paperless lol. im using one note for its platform compatibility and versatility. expandable memory for me is very important too!
How is the palm the rejection with Onenote? Any problems?
Palm rejection is almost perfect. It's an active stylus so it has hover mode. In hover mode, palm rejection is perfect.
Does the S Pen work for Samsung Tab E?
Would have loved the video to be much longer, e.g. specific functions for each app (formulas, etc.), other paper styles and longer texts. Like the sound and style of your video. Thumbs up.
+Rod Trendy Maybe in the future I'll create more app specific videos relating to note taking.
Thank you.
For me the samsung's tablets are better than the iPads
I believe you're right.
Yes, but i still don't get it why samsung didn't put better chip on the tab s3. This makes s3 performance far worse than ipad 2018
I prefer a samsung tablet too.
But I'm looking for a note app which have the same functions like GoodNotes 4 for iPad.
Does anyone know a good app❓
Mineplayer01 try write. It’s similar with goodnote but the image drag and copy from web feature is missing
@@gabrielheidipamoyo1858 Yes, but the downside is I can not search PDF files. That's a lot easier in GoodNotes.
Guy I need some recommendations, I'm looking for ,mainly for taking note in the class.i hate my surface 4 the battery is bother most ,it not easy to share it with the onenote too. So thank in advance
Tab S3 has good battery life. Check out iPad 2018 and Apple Pencil too. Price is quite close to Tab S3
Hi Thanks for the video. I have some questions:-
1)i was looking for a tablet for note taking, but while taking notes, i kind of do a lot of undoing and redoing, so is there any app on s3 which has shortcuts that i can customise for it??
Teoh Yi Chie Thanx that was very helpful
Nice video! An off-topic question - what case did you use on this tablet? Would it be possible for you to post a link for the tablet?
I just bought a cheap SGD $10 case from eBay. It's those general flip case (looks like Apple iPad flip case)
Teoh Yi Chie I wouldn't suggest to use cheap magnetic cases at least in my experience, it messed up with my display and touchscreen on my Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and after a month not using it touchscreen it got back to normal
Why do you need to replace the tips? Do ther wear that quick?
Replace them when they are blunt. How fast they wear out will depend on how often you write. S Pen tip replacements are not expensive. You can compare prices on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress.
very clear and precise review.. tq bro.
+warak anda Thanks 😄
thank you, good content
what's the palm detection like?
+Ryan Tongs It is very good. Almost flawless
Will you compare it to the iPad Pro?
+jonathan aharonov Yes. Soon I hope.
Teoh Yi Chie great
Teoh Yi Chie would enjoy this comparison too.
I think it can not compare in note taking because of notability, goodnotes and other awesome app store apps
Teoh Yi Chie Have you compared it to the iPad Pro ? Don’t mean to rush you , just wondering if you already have . Thanks !!
So would you get the Tab S3 or Yoga Book Android? as overall tablet and note taking
If my primary use is for taking notes, Yoga Book is more accurate.
Samsung Tab S3 is also good at taking note, and is a better general tablet.
Teoh Yi Chie good to know, thank you.
Tipp for you: Try Lecture Notes
I've not tried FiiNote before
If you get some free time, check it out and let me know what you think.
Teoh Yi Chie thank you
Do you think it would be alright if a buy the s3, just to use netflix, spotify and do some homework in word? I don't want to buy a laptop because I have one and I don't use it very much so I want something not that expensive to do that stuff and take it with me...
Yeah, the S3 is powerful enough. I'm not sure about the user experience of using Word on a small screen. Should be alright.
Does it support palm rejection? And if yes then how good is it? Is it better than ipad pro or less better or equal?
There is palm rejection. Performs about the same as Apple Pencil
Can you please test how accurate the S Pen is on the Yoga Book and if it will even work?? Please! Yoga book pen has been giving me random jitters while I'm writing and I need to write notes in college.
S Pen does not work with Yoga Book. Yoga Book should be more accurate than Samsung. Are you drawing on the keyboard?
Teoh Yi Chie Thanks a lot for the answers! You have a new subscriber!
I'd be very grateful if you answer this 😊
Mine performs the same as it was on day 1. Battery life is still good. No lag also.
Thank you so much, really appreciate your reply 😊
Can you please make a guide on how to draw and paint on the tab s3?
+docreg Maybe I will in a future video
Is it possible to write on all Tablets or does it only works on special ones?
The S Pen only works on selected Samsung tablets and phones.
I think 'Lecture note' is the best app ever i have used !!
Are u using it with the Tab S3, because I am getting one in two weeks and was wondering what the experience is on that App in combination with the Tab S3?
Hi, between the S-pen and the applle pencil, which one would you say has lower latency?
+Zayce Stark Apple Pencil has less lag, but it really depends on the graphic app that you use.
How many rows you can write in this tab? And, when you finish the last row of first page, what happen next? Tab will extend more rows or you have to save and open another page? Thanks
It depends on the app you use. Some use pages, some give you unlimited canvas, and some give you unlimited vertical space so it goes on and on.
Thank you so much. Could you please suggest me which app is unlimited pages
Wacom Bamboo Paper. Search around the Google Play Store. There are so many apps available.
Hi, do you draw? How does it perform during artwork? Thanks
Yes, I draw. It performs well with drawing. The lines are smooth and there isn't much lag.
Can you suggest a budget tablet pc for drawing??need help
Maybe Samsung Tab S2 with S Pen. Most budget tablets don't have active styluses, hence no palm rejection and pressure sensitivity.
Tq very much
Hi. Does Nebo Myscript works in this tablet?
My pencil doesnt wanna work how do i have to make it work??
Which cover do you use with this device? Are you able to recommend anything? For me the cover book (original one from Samsung - magnetic) is bit - how to say - dangerous for these glass surfaces..
+Paweł Wróżek I just use a cheap cover I bought on ebay. There's nothing special about it.
Ok - thanks. I think I will do the same for this samsung.
can you do same test on asus 10 zenpad 3s? or compare?
You get so many tips with s3, While just one extra with galaxy book 12? It's sad , because I can not find Replace tips yet and whole pen is quite expensive.. how long do you think one tip will last ?
+Joseph Mcqueen Not sure how long this tip will last. Maybe you can research previous models.
+Joseph Mcqueen -- I've used the S-pen for a long time. I do a lot of writing and those tips do wear down quickly for me. I remedied that by putting a thin coating of Bondic on the tip of one, and have never had to replace it since (with no scratching of my unprotected screen).
Is it possible to download the app "Nebo MyScript" on it? It would be great !
You've got to search the Google Playstore for it. If it's there, it can be installed.
Thank you for the useful information!

i have this tablet already, but it seems like there no great note taking app in playstore should i buy an ipad? or get a 2 in 1 laptop?
Tried OneNote, Inkcredible, Wacom Bamboo Paper, Squid?
Great video. Were your hands touching the screen while you're writing with the stylus pen? Thanks!
Yes. You can rest your palm on the screen while writing.
Teoh Yi Chie thanks!!
Teoh Yi Chie how? The screen is so sensitive... and i have to watch my gand when im sketching something:(
I need a tab to take notes. Which is better, apple ipad 6th gen or samsung tabs?
Both are good. If you get Samsung, make sure to get one with S Pen. Apple Pencil is sold separately
How is the palm rejection frfr? BC that is what will make or break me buying this BC there are some who claim that there is no palm rejection or that it barely works...
+Antonio Robinson Palm rejection works very well.
Hi... Does S pen work on the Evernote app?
Yes.
Somebody answer plz which 1 was the best app and what pen did he have
Best pen is the S Pen that comes with it. Good apps you can try are ArtFlow, Sketchbook and Medibang Paint Pro
does it work on older Samsung tabs?
How would you compare the tab s3 to the Lenovo yoga book
+Braden Mamen I prefer Tab S3. It's more intuitive to write and be able to see what you write beneath. Yoga Book has the advantage of being able to capture your strokes very accurately.
Teoh Yi Chie and how does the size/weight/portability of the two compare?
They are both extremely compact and portable.
Is it possible to rest hand while typing like normal paper?
You can
@@teohyc thank you !!
What is the price in India for the said Tab-3? Price not stated.
Can someone tell me if your palm/hand can be touching the screen when you are using the S-pen for handwriting or is it going to ruin it ?
You can rest your hand on the screen while writing.
@@teohyc Thanks for the quick answer.
