Well done that man, you sure put it all out there today, most would not get past the distillery. Hf still open here, getting uk on 20m cw. 73 mate. Zl3xdj.
@@brianfields4479 HF still working well on the grey line. I'm fed up hearing people complain Brian, but I'm having my fun on VHF this summer for something different. Cheers, Fraser MM0EFI
@@theradiorover well said Fraser, gm and g stns on 40 and 20m this evening, so iam never sure why people say otherwise, I hear many g stns running amps and yagis and getting no where, but their on the air when vk and zl is asleep. Most g stations who set up skeds with me to get zl in the log, I manage to connect with them at the right time. As you know, time and patience is the key, many think adding amps and yagis will instantly get dx. Keep doing what you are doing Fraser, your a inspiration to many. 73 zl3xdj
I know! I was praying there was one on the rh-770. I probably could have made a few contacts with the rubber whip from there but it would have been a bit of an anti-climax.
Good video though the time pressure to ascend, activate and descend would have been too much for me. I predicted double figures and the Worked All Glasgow award. Nice run of contacts and on a weekday too. 73 Chris M0RSF
@excossack a lot of non-hams are experimenting with the 800MHz version. I think hams are late to the party. For meshtastic to work properly, there needs to be a decent t network. Hopefully see a few more appearing soon.
We’re all of those contacts from spotting, people you know, are just people that were monitoring the natl. call freq? Did I see you switched to another simplex freq? Not sure I would be successful doing that here in Florida (USA) 👍😳😄
@@BobBroeking Yeah, Florida is pretty flat. Better for theme parks and space centres. 😁 There was a mix in there: Two guys were on a summit. They saw my SOTA alert and were looking for me. One was a friend who I'd messaged. He drove up to his local high spot. I recognised four as regular SOTA chasers. I guess the other four either saw my spot or were listening to the calling channel. It also helped that I was 600m above the central belt of Scotland, where 5,000,000 of the 6,000,000 population live! Similar to my Pikes Peak, Colorado 2m activation. 73, Fraser MM0EFI
@@snaggitfishing2827 yes it was! A nice steep hike to get the heart going, and good fun on 2m at the top. Fast and furious activation and then gone. Just the way I like them. 😊
Oh so close wasn't too far off. Good to see you out doing 2m
Take care mate 73
Ah, you nearly got top marks!! Well done Motters.
Yeah, nice to be near Glasgow for some 2m action.
Hope you're well mate. 😊
Here's my guess. I'll stick my neck out. 12 x 2m FM contacts with 1 being a S2S.
Oooh, good guess (but I had had a fair bit of practice).... so it was 11, including 2 S2S.
Good guess!
@@geralddavisonI'm going to say you had inside information 😂
@theradiorover ha ha.... I've had a bit of practice. I like 2m FM only activations in N Wales too.
@geralddavison from my limited experience of one GW/NW activation on 2m, I'd have to wholeheartedly agree with you. 😁

The look of horror when you thought you didn't have the SMA to BNC! 😮

You’ll have to do a video on the LoRA aprs you were talking about there… has me intrigued!
Oh, alright then...🤣
@@theradiorover good boy 😜
Fantastic FM simplex video !!! Liked this video a lot . Slim Jim Ant is doing 👍🏻 great.
@@dugbohamradio cheers! The ideal VHF 2m set up I think. Loving the LoRa tracker too. You need to get an rx igate set up....
Great video Fraser nice to hear all your locals on voice, I see a few of those call signs on SW3. regards all vk5cz ..
Thanks Ian. Yes, a few regular chaser on there! I was hoping they'd be around.😊
Is it the weekend, that’s what I wondering for VHF propagation 😅 wild guess: 10 contacts , 1 s2s, 50 miles
Close.
I was up there in Thursday at noon, so not too bad.
Wild guess...18 contacts, 3 S2S, best DX 125 miles.
