- Former Vice President Mike Pence, who repeated that he won't be endorsing former President Donald Trump, tells "Face the Nation" that Trump calling people arrested in connection to Jan. 6 as "hostages" is "unacceptable." "I think it's very unfortunate at a time that there are American hostages being held in Gaza," Pence said.

Yes I agree, that was really weak. Even now, three years later and faced with a clear pledge from Trump to basically open the jail doors on domestic terrorists and r@bble-rousers (and people whowillingly joined hands with those guys and disrupted the workings of peaceful transfer of power), and to pardon all those who haven't yet been sentenced by January next year, Pence can't take a clear stand for the rule of law and for the integrity of Congress - instead he's taking the same line as Trump himself and saying "just leave this as part of the election being a national referendum on Trump!". It's amazingly weak, especially since he himself was faced with de*th thr*ats that day, by these people and inspired by 45.
