I never liked Pence, and I still don't, but one thing you gotta give him: He's honest and unwavering. Imagine being pressured for days by Trump, his cronies, basically the entire Republican Party, and having a mob of thousands call for your head right outside the door...

Respect for Pence. But to think it came down to 1 person, is not a good omen for the future of democracy, around the world.
We need to turn America into India. They are not only the largest but most successful version of democracy in the world.
Respect? He did everything he could to empower Trump. He searched for a way that he could do this too but made a calculation that his own personal liability would be just too much. Nothing heroic about anything he did.

Regardless of what is your party of choice, I found a bit of hope in seeing that there are still politicians that put the rights and duties of the Constitution before their own or their party’s interests.
Never thought I’d say that, but thank God that Pence had courage to stand up to Trump and protect the Constitution!

62 of the 63 lawsuits filed by Republicans were dismissed on *legal technicalities* (standing, laches, etc) without ANY investigation whatsoever. So we really have no idea to what extent there was direct fraud in 2020. But we know for certain the election was rigged by the FBI and other agencies working in conjunction with Democrats and social media and MSM to suppress and ban conservatives and to spread misinformation. For example, they claimed the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian misinformation when the FBI knew it was real (they had it in their possession for a year at that point).
Trump needs to be in jail.

This sentence from WSJ: "Pence is a very traditional Republican, a lot of adherence to Constitutional values" is a very sad statement and indictment about the present day not-very-traditional Republicans.

But, please, can we quit it with the lavish praise on Pence for literally doing the bare f**king minimum, which is to not violate the constitution in the exercise of his office? He shouldn't have to be praised for following the law.
