Thx Jose. I have always been in awe of AV ever since my college years. It’s eye opening for me to realize that music/trumpet gods are just real people that have the same real life concerns as us mere mortals. Thx for your series
Allen is a very nice guy and an amazing musician. I had the opportunity to meet him a few years back when he performed at Henderson State University and my son was responsible for taking him to and from the airport and around campus. Wonderful person.
Allen was in Norway in 1998. Things he said in this conversation was also what he pointed ot, 23 years ago (3 aspect of practice: warmup, technique and music) ojtrumpet.net/vizzutti/warmup.html
I saw every minute of this video. There is Allen V, a fine trumpet player and musician. He is profound.

Wonderful interview. Thank you, Jose!
Thank you! Allen is such a fascinating person, so it didn't take much effort on my end!

He is certainly a down to Earth guy. If you met him in a coffee shop you would never know that he was one of the world's greatest trumpet players.
