One thing I want to return, is the Mario vs Luigi Mode from NSMB DS. It's a Multi-player VS mode where Mario and Luigi compete to get the most stars. It will be very interesting to see this mode expanded with more Power ups, Levels, and even Characters.
This is more of a hope than a prediction but we can see that in the trailer that Yoshi acts more like Nabbit in NSMBUD with him not being hit by the bullet bills in the 4 Yoshi scene. I hope that there's an option to swap this invincible mode to a more traditional mode to fit the other characters because Yoshi is my favourite character while Daisy is my sister's favourite so if we can play similarly together, it will be perfect.
i think the star coin system is basically the same as the other games at 11:28 there's a counter for three purple 10-coins, and they look to be seen in similar places to star coins

Daisy already has a special ability, the Double Jump in Super Mario Run so doesn't need to borrow Peach's float. I'm so happy she's playable in another mainline, a BIGGER mainline.
Elephants cannot jump so I'm betting it doesn't even allow the smallest of hops. Which, in a 2D Mario platformer, would make it too unwieldy if it can be used in levels not specifically designed around it.
@@gengarzilla1685 yeah, elephants indeed can't jump, but like you said it would be near unusable in every level, so I think either we have a small jump or there's something in those levels that would allow us to continue forward anyway. that aside, I think elephant power-up would be temporarily, like at the end of the level you would lose it. Because it'll be a challenge to get on the flagpole itself if you're a heavy elephant, let alone beat an entire game with it.

I'm predicting that when we have to face off against Bowser, he turns in a caterpillar in the first phase with his second phase being a butterfly. I'm also predicting that the bosses either will involve the Koopalings using Wonder effects like jr. or we have to fight all new bosses that'll be inspired by Alice in Wonderland characters like the Mad hatter or the Chesire cat.

Wario could try shoulder bashing you, but instead if hitting a wall, he keeps on dashing on the walls and on the ceiling, or he could use some of his transformations from Wario Land, and for the final phase, he becomes Elephant Wario. Once you defeated Wario he becomes a playable character. He basically functions like how he does in Wario Land 4. 2. We’ll get more Flower power ups in the game, like a Lightning Flower or a Wind Flower. 3. Bowser Jr will be every miniboss you fight, but each fight has something really different about it that makes them all unique. 4. Bowser will either get a more monstrous form from whatever Jr’s been infected with, or he’ll use the Elephant power-up and become a mammoth like how when he used the Super Bell he became more of a tiger than a cat. 5. Dry Bowser will be the secret boss of the inevitable World 9.
Something that bugs me about the Mario games is how the playable Toads are Blue Toad and Yellow Toad. Why can’t it be Toad and Toadette? And have the Toad’s Houses be the ones with Blue Toad and Yellow Toad. Maybe this is a feature for a future Mario game. I really hope so.

The truth the idea of having mario, yoshi, donkey kong and wario with their peculiarities in the same game has always tickled me. practically endless ways to finish the levels and endless secrets. in such a sense the ad personam power up would make sense
It’s probably just a level gimmick but the trailer makes me think that the ability to push the pipe against the chuck is a Daisy exclusive thing, and that she’ll be somehow stronger than the rest of the characters.
If the Koopalings made it into this game, I would be ecstatic. Unpopular opinion, I know, and they would need new abilities and interesting fights to make their appearance justified. But even still, I hope Nintendo adds them.

I always thought yoshi would be a power up, letting the different characters turn into a yoshi, possibly through a wonder flower event, with them being the colors of the characters(red for Mario, green for Luigi, so on)

I imagine that if Nintendo does decide to give them special abilities, the ones you said for the other four are most likely gonna happen, and as for Daisy, I imagine that she'd have a strength ability. What I think would be cool is if Daisy and Mario would be the only characters that could push heavy objects. Since Mario is an all-around character, it makes sense that he'd be included as well.

Watching this back after the game is out and me beating the game is actually really interesting to me. you got some stuff right on the money but some other stuff was WAY off, classic Odyssey
I’m not convinced that Yoshi will be playable. I think Yoshi will be a level gimick like the captain toad levels from 3d world and the one level where he is rideable you probably just start off with yoshi and that’s why he is with Mario in the life counter. Here Random Predictions -Returning power up aside the staple 3 and 1-ups are Mega and Mini Mushroom -We at least gonna get 2 more power ups maybe more my guess is Chicken and a instrumental base power up -Red Toad and Green Toad are the other 2 Colors -Rosalina and Pauline are the Secret Characters -Wario is a Boss and Character and is under control (Maybe Waluigi too if we lucky) -Returning Boss being Wart and Tatanga but there under conrtol like Bowser Jr -We get City Level Theme, and a Warioland inpsire level -Koopalings are not bosses in this game along with Sumo Bro,Boom Boom, and Poom -Wonder Event only get reuse for the Bonus World being harder version -Challenges come back along with going on top of the flag and each character touching it from 3D World -Unlockable Characters by the Purple Coins in the shop -heck Toadette and Nabbit can return playable with this shop -This is also how you unlock costumes like Green Toad and Color Yoshis -New Bosses base on new enemes along with some old one (My Random Idea for not returning Shy Queen (we have not a Shy leader in the canon), King Mole (It be cool if is the same scrapped desgin just update, and Beta version of the Broodals that are not Rabbits either as bosses/Mid Bosses -Kamek and Bowser will have Boss fight but not finale boss fight -I could see we get six new power ups with no returning aside from the Staple 3 -and finally Elephant Mario is for everyone
They should bring the toad brigade back for this game. Maybe not a big role but I'd love to see a teaser for a new captain toad game which probably will happen seeing as they've been in every mainline game since 3D world, even in Bowsers Fury. Plus the wonder effects could make some really cool captain toad levels.
My prediction is if you can choose what color Yoshi you want and it's not linked to player number, then I wouldn't be surprised if each color got their respective shell abilities from SMW
When you said red Toad hasn't been playable ever i thought "what about smb2?". It turns out he's actually blue in that game. HOWEVER! In the Super Mario All-Stars version he has his standard colors, so red toad is indeed playable.

Wario and Waluigi being playable characters would make sense considering Wonder is in the title. W being the one or the main letters. Wario is due for a Mario game like this and would love Waluigi alongside his bro. Still surprised we haven’t gotten a new Wario World or a Waluigi’s World Game.
I have a feeling from the design of Bowser Jr. It appears to be dark bowser's color which means they are probably possessed, in addition Bowser Jr. also instead of having his normal mask it appears to of become a mouth which makes me think he was either taken over or has gained some sort of dark power

I don't think the Elephant Fruit is Mario exclusive ; as RUclipsr World Love Gaming posted on his community tab showed that Luigi and Peach can also use it. Presumably Yellow Toad can use it aswell
The big purples are the star coins obviously. There is 3 of them, they are modelled after SMM2’s 10 coin plus they are at certain areas. The wonder seeds are green stars but wonder edition.

He's got 2 series on his own, one of which got a new game revealed alongside Wonder. And Waluigi is never gonna be in a game that doesn't also have Wario since the sole purpose of his creation was to be a tag along for Wario. He should just appear in Warioware or Wario Land instead, idk why they keep him away from those

I always thought yoshi would be a power up, letting the different characters turn into a yoshi, possibly through a wonder flower event, with them being the colors of the characters(red for Mario, green for Luigi, so on)
i love 2d mario’s games more than 3d (mostly personal bias) and i’m so excited i do hope the koopalings make an appearance as bosses but affected by the wonder flower like bowser jr

I imagine that if Nintendo does decide to give them special abilities, the ones you said for the other four are most likely gonna happen, and as for Daisy, I imagine that she'd have a strength ability. What I think would be cool is if Daisy and Mario would be the only characters that could push heavy objects. Since Mario is an all-around character, it makes sense that he'd be included as well.
This is really unlikely, but what if they did different versions of each character, like mario could have 4 suits, and luigi could have 4 suits,
Or they could do different characters instead, like 4 characters with 4 varients

Watching this back after the game is out and me beating the game is actually really interesting to me. you got some stuff right on the money but some other stuff was WAY off, classic Odyssey
I’m not convinced that Yoshi will be playable. I think
Yoshi will be a level gimick like the captain toad levels from 3d world and the one level where he is rideable you probably just start off with yoshi and that’s why he is with Mario in the life counter. Don’t get me wrong I would like to play as him but I don’t think it will happen.
Here Random Predictions
-Returning power up aside the staple 3 and 1-ups are Mega and Mini Mushroom
-We at least gonna get 2 more power ups maybe more my guess is Chicken and a instrumental base power up
-Red Toad and Green Toad are the other 2 Colors
-Rosalina and Pauline are the Secret Characters
-Wario is a Boss and Character and is under control (Maybe Waluigi too if we lucky)
-Returning Boss being Wart and Tatanga but there under conrtol like Bowser Jr
-We get City Level Theme, and a Warioland inpsire level
-Koopalings are not bosses in this game along with Sumo Bro,Boom Boom, and Poom
-Wonder Event only get reuse for the Bonus World being harder version
-Challenges come back along with going on top of the flag and each character touching it from 3D World
-Unlockable Characters by the Purple Coins in the shop
-heck Toadette and Nabbit can return playable with this shop
-This is also how you unlock costumes like Green Toad and Color Yoshis
-New Bosses base on new enemes along with some old one (My Random Idea for not returning Shy Queen (we have not a Shy leader in the canon), King Mole (It be cool if is the same scrapped desgin just update, and Beta version of the Broodals that are not Rabbits either as bosses/Mid Bosses
-Kamek and Bowser will have Boss fight but not finale boss fight
-I could see we get six new power ups with no returning aside from the Staple 3
-and finally Elephant Mario is for everyone
They should bring the toad brigade back for this game. Maybe not a big role but I'd love to see a teaser for a new captain toad game which probably will happen seeing as they've been in every mainline game since 3D world, even in Bowsers Fury.
Plus the wonder effects could make some really cool captain toad levels.

I think that we won't be getting any special character traits, and that Yoshi will in fact NOT be playable either. Rather, the characters will become Yoshi through a powerup or a wonder seed event

Wario and Waluigi being playable characters would make sense considering Wonder is in the title. W being the one or the main letters. Wario is due for a Mario game like this and would love Waluigi alongside his bro. Still surprised we haven’t gotten a new Wario World or a Waluigi’s World Game.
I have a feeling from the design of Bowser Jr. It appears to be dark bowser's color which means they are probably possessed, in addition Bowser Jr. also instead of having his normal mask it appears to of become a mouth which makes me think he was either taken over or has gained some sort of dark power

The big purples are the star coins obviously. There is 3 of them, they are modelled after SMM2’s 10 coin plus they are at certain areas. The wonder seeds are green stars but wonder edition.
