Many thanks for the information regarding chainline etc.
Keep up your good work 👍
I don't run any SRAM cranks on my Eagle drivetrain, 'cause there's no offer for 172.5 mm cranks (as I use for Road and Gravel). So I went to the third party manufacturer Leonardi Racing who supports the DUB standard and both interfaces for the chainring (3-bolt and 8-bolt)!
I don't get it, why SRAM is optimizing their drivetrains without any consideration of the crank lengths as that is usual by all parties in the Road sector. There's a need for 2.5mm steps, when efficiency through power transfer is proclaimed as one big thing.
Several lengths in one crank could be achieved by inserts, similar to Look Three Lobe.

A quick note on chainlines and the need to go to 56.5-57 mm to accomodate wide tires: I have an old frame which was designed at a time when we only had 9 speed drivetrains with sub-50 mm chainline, but it still can take a 3.0 inch tyre. And if you do the math, a 49 mm chainline results in 8.4 mm clearance between a 12 speed chain and a 3.0 inch tyre (a little less when using lower gears).

However, Non-T-Type Eagle Drivetrain chainrings are incompatible with Eagle Transmission T-Type chains."
yet, the back of the chainring in your video at 5:28 shows "SRAM T-Type Chains only" - doesn't that contradict each other?
