Oh yeah this is going to be a good one. An absolutely beautiful set that is a great addition to any Lego city, especially if you want to have a royal family. Love it!

This is a good one. I'm hoping this is front & center of the medieval scene because personally I think it should be. I like how you narrated this to take us through your thoughts of the build and I'm absolutely shocked that there aren't any stickers because I was expecting at least one sheet if not two sheets and I cannot wait until you put this in the medieval scene.
Those slots are for the archers to shoot arrows thru cool set looks massive lots of cool interesting build techniques can’t wait to invest in one some day
Can you make a video with the castle and the blacksmith? Do they go well together? The blacksmith is modular while this is kind of half modular I guess.
This is amazing. But I still need to get accustomed to the fact that Lego is so expensive now after all their price increases. Imagine this set being released in early 2022 it would have cost 350, and in 2021 it would have cost 325.. crazy.
Glad to hear there's only printed pieces and no stickers. There were some videos going around with "proof" (based on released pictures) that some of the shields and other pieces may be stickers in this set. Obviously would prefer printed pieces, as there's no problems in putting them on straight and just feels like higher quality without "cheap" stickers on parts, but wouldn't have been a deal-breaker for me to get this set.

I really love Mediaeval and Pirates and only got full on into City 'cos that's all that was available! There was a few lines here are there but not a dedicated series year after year like there used to be. Gonna snap this one up if I can find it! Some sets are exclusive to certain stores🏰

As soon as I saw the first leaks of this set, I knew it would be epic and a must-have. This build video just makes me want it now. When you first showed the drawbridge with the gap under and behind, I was rather confused; wth is that gap for? And then when you showed the minifigure being dropped into the dungeon, my reaction changed to "cool!" I had already thought about getting a second one, but this video alone convinces me that two are necessary, and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can MOC together with them... possibly involving the pile of 3 in 1 Castles I already have. Off to watch the detailed video now.

Wow, great review and stunning set. I am so tempted but it is very expensive, especially here in New Zealand. I could buy x6 (on sale) 3in1 sets and build the black falcon knights castle, AND the big fortress OR just buy and build this one. What to do what to do.
First things to mod is that black tree, would look nicer if it was brown/dark brown.. and also the White House may look better if it was tan color like from medieval market village

This will be my 2nd modern Lego set after 21322 Barracuda Bay after collecting everything from pirates and castle from the 80s & 90s. Question, do you always throw away the plastic bags and boxes or do you keep all that to put them back in the box someday? I'm still looking for a video about breaking down lego sets and putting them in bags in the right order but I can't find anything like that, maybe a good idea for you to make a vid about it! For anyone reading this, how do you guys do that? zip bags? keep the original bags and open them very carefully?
We only keep our instruction books; we recycle the boxes (or we'd have way too many!). You can just break down the box and stack them for storing. No need to keep the bags. If you were to eventually sell a set, people won't care about them.

12:23 the back side of the draw bridge is heavier, the chains pull up the weight and bridge which makes it horizontal

you could probably use the king from series 13 minifigures to match the castle colors. he wears the blue, red and yellow colors.

Only better version would be one with a keep, donjon and a courtyard. Nice details

It was hard to tell from the video but I think those “slots” are not windows, but places to either fire an arrow or pour hot oil on your enemies.
The only thing that could have made this better was maybe to have a barracks or something for the knights, since there's so may or them in the set
