No,he is “The MASTER” of Shock rock” and theatrical of rock n roll shows, and every song he sings make a lot of sense and he lived a lot of them and wrote these songs of his own experience’s he’s also been through.Alice Cooper is The absolute best!!!
My favorite Alice Cooper song. "Tell me where the hell I'm going, let my bones fall in the dust. Can you here that ghost that's calling? As my Colt begins to rust. In the dust." Somebody should make a video of this with Once Upon a Time in the West. Alice Cooper Baby!!!
I have been a casual Alice Cooper fan for 25 years, but in the last 10 years I have become a huge massive fan. I love the majority of the Alice Cooper catalog, but the album Killer is my favorite. Songs like Desperado, Halo Of Flies, Killer , and the rest of the album are phenomenal songs.
Me too. I’ve always liked Alice Cooper songs and I appreciate the shock rock stage antics. But lately I’ve come to realize that Alice Cooper was a great rock band/solo artist.
You could just imagine how cool a rock video this song would have been with Alice playing the killer. Dude was way ahead of his time. This is a one of his classic songs.
It's amazing to hear Alice in better voice now than he was back in the 70's! You only need to check out the live stuff on YT and Alice's vocals left a lot to be desired back then! Mostly due to his gargantuan drug and drink intake no doubt!
alice was my very first concert. billion dollar babies had just came out. it was at the spectrum in philly. was a great show. flo and eddie, from the mothers of invention and the turtles, opened up for him. it was great. loved the times back then. great friends, great music. very glad i grew up when and where i did. country boy from cecil county md.
Saw Alice Cooper Show several times ! Always a pleasure and never disappoints .... Not ever . The hanging of Alice ... Black Ju Ju and all the rest ; Magnificent performances !!! Carlito F. U. S. A. ♦️
I was a small child when I used to sneak into older teenage sisters' room to borrow their albums. "Killer" and "Billion Dollar Babies" were two that helped form my developing mind (LOL!!). Remember on those old record players you could leave the drop arm thingy over and it would allow your LP to do continuous play. My mom used to lament that she'd wake up at 3:00am and, in a nightmarish cloud, hear "I Love the Dead" coming through the walls. (hahahahahaha!!!) But, anyway, this performance is stellar. Sometimes it's hard to listen to live versions and compare it to the studio take. But this is right up there in perfect quality.
Saw Alice back in the 80's he totally blew my mind and I was right in front of them I was tripping my head off had a few scary moments but what a show Uncle Alice puts on thank you for all these uploads
Followed alice since 1973. Ups and downs.... Only alice survives.favorite show From the Inside Kemper Arena KC Mo. 1979 Got some great pictures!!!!!!##
ALICE COOPER-BUDAPEST-LIVE!!!!!!!! SZERETLEK TIBI!!!!!!BÁTYÁM!!!!!
I didn't know he did this song live. His low notes give me chills. I heard a live version of "Welcome To My Nightmare " once and he opened the song with low notes and the crowd went nuts.
Archetypal Rock. The best music touches the cultural race mind-or exceeds it. Here, in the USA, the imagery in this song is shared in our dreams, nightmares, and the fragmented memories from childhood spent watching western movies and television shows.
Unless I'm mistaken, this tune was about Alice Cooper, the spirit that was accidently contacted via a Ouija board session, and of course, the inspiration for the name of the band. Hence, the ending lyrics, "I'm a killer/and I'm a clown/I'm a priestess/Going to town."
In this song Alice opens with a Lou Reed vocal sound that is better than ANYTHING Lou Reed ever did... and then of course he only skyrockets from there. Alice rocks, we are not worthy.
Alice Cooper: Leader, never a follower.
Thank you Alice.
Mary Love this guy!!
Actually he's a sellout and a shill. Still cool song though
Don’t be a hater I hope to meet you someday.
For Jim Morrison. RIP Jim. Thank you Cooper!
Killer is still my favorite album. To me, Desperado, was an homage to Jim Morrison's crooning style.
indeed , it was, he wrote it for him and Jim never used the lyrics
Mine too
Mine as well. Huge influence on me. It truly is a legendary album
Love it to Death is best of all.
He wrote the song hoping Morrison would sing it.
Last of the true Heavy Metal Gods.

Alice Cooper Baby!!!
great tune by a rock legend.old school Alice rocks!!
Michael Bruce wrote most of it, lyrics aside. He was the main musical engine behind the Coop.
What’s it been 50 some years he’s still rocking saw him in the 80s and just last year at Rockville still kicking ass good job Alice Cooper
Yeah Killer is a perfect one
Me too. I’ve always liked Alice Cooper songs and I appreciate the shock rock stage antics.
But lately I’ve come to realize that Alice Cooper was a great rock band/solo artist.
Saw him at 18 yrs old. I'm now 66. He really put on a show back then. Hanged himself on stage. Awesome.
Nobody cares about the age stuff…either you like his tunes or you don’t
Alice Cooper the true icon of a rock GOD, the man has been through hell and made it back.
You could just imagine how cool a rock video this song would have been with Alice playing the killer. Dude was way ahead of his time. This is a one of his classic songs.
Alice is a real Legend in Rock history ! A great performer and a better Entertainer !!! ♦️🇺🇸♦️ 💥💨
I'm 59 and this song has been a favorite since i was a teen. 1ST on my playlists always.
Saw the Alice Cooper Show in 1981 "special forces tour" with 500 hells angels in the audience (very intense)
At least they weren't Security! That was The Stone's right?
@@onmyown7364 Yes and apparently that didn't go so well.
I'm a picture of ugly stories. Lol
Lol I'll bet 😁

Alice Cooper🤔 an American-legend🤔!!!!
The verse is almost as Jim Morrison wants to sings it
It's amazing to hear Alice in better voice now than he was back in the 70's! You only need to check out the live stuff on YT and Alice's vocals left a lot to be desired back then! Mostly due to his gargantuan drug and drink intake no doubt!
This song was a tribute to Jim Morrison. I could definitely imagine ,the Doors performing this one; especially , the studio version.........
alice was my very first concert. billion dollar babies had just came out. it was at the spectrum in philly. was a great show. flo and eddie, from the mothers of invention and the turtles, opened up for him. it was great. loved the times back then. great friends, great music. very glad i grew up when and where i did. country boy from cecil county md.

Alice has always had great bands and a great live sound! His current bands are awesome as well.
You're Powerful when you make music
Saw Alice Cooper Show several times ! Always a pleasure and never disappoints .... Not ever . The hanging of Alice ... Black Ju Ju and all the rest ; Magnificent performances !!! Carlito F. U. S. A. ♦️

The Winner Take it all has a similar tune
In this song Alice opens with a Lou Reed vocal sound that is better than ANYTHING Lou Reed ever did... and then of course he only skyrockets from there. Alice rocks, we are not worthy.
lastdaysguitar He's actually trying to imitate Jim Morrison in the beginning. Jim just died, and this song was dedicated to him.
It's a little bit like Iggy Pop
