I think this will go down as an underrated GC race. The Top 3 were within half a minute after 19 stages, and evenly matched in the mountains. Aru also seemed like a major threat before fading away in the Alps.

Your bike seems perfect: why do you need changing it? Am I due to slow down or even humbly stop because of the unwritten rule, according to which I have to compete being always loyal with enemies?

I have no qualms with evaluating the situation and being sportsmanlike...however, it has been abused for the last few years to an absurd degree. Just because the yellow jersey has a mechanical...or needs to take a leak...is not a veto on the peloton moving on without him. When teams are intentionally creating 'wait' situations because a TEAMMATE of the yellow jersey has a problem...you know things have gone too far. It's no longer a sporting gesture when the rule is used by the strong to abuse the weak.
