With me being special needs, the school principal was awesome and would come and get me from the class or wherever and take me outside 5 mins before the fire drill so i didnt have a panic attack. He and i got along so well. Bless his heart.
Same happened with me but it was my resource specialist (IEP case manager) who pulled me out of class when I was in a classroom that has a simplex 4050
We had these same alarms at my middle schools in every class room.
We HATED unannounced fire drills! 😂
All those MT's put together make a weird sound.
Great video!
the world's loudest alarm before the specralert advance
Yeah frirnd
There's also the fire alarm horns that were installed in schools back in the 1940's and 1950's which would be activated by a rod attached to a lever that would be yanked down.
We had these alarms on continuous in every classroom in my elementary school. We HATED fire drills! Haha
My elementary school portables have MTs in constant and it’s terrible makes me panic. The NS’s in the main building are code 3 in the hallways with RSS remote strobes in the classrooms and restrooms and it encourages me to evacuate in a calm and orderly fashion. The Jewish community center has AS’s which is very loud and sounds like an MT but, at least it’s code 3.
this was recorded on my birthday!
little late but like they say, better late then never!
We had these same alarms in my middle school. They’ve since upgrade to Genesis.
We always hated unannounced fire drills
Oh look my elementary school days have come back full force 😂😂😂
Same. My elementary school had the MT4's on continuous and the portable classrooms had Spectralert Classics, which were actually somehow fairly quiet.
What a loud system!
Sounds like critters chirping
That's the sound I heard, but the Wheelock MTs are outside of the school instead of inside, since the Wheelock NS (almost all of them) and AS (they're in the auditorium, including the band classes and the gyms) are inside.
Had these ones at my old school. Glad I got EST Integrities at my new one
THE INTEGRITY AND THE MT LOOKS THE SAME.
I remember what that sounds like because Trinity South Elementary school in Washington Pennsylvania has the same exact alarms
You want a system from hell? Try a Canadian high school with integrity horns in the classrooms and integrity horns and horn strobes on the hallways, all on continuous
I don't mind integrity or Genesis at all
CJ9899 oh yeah? Try my old elementary school with bells IN the classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms
stand right next to a Wheelock MT on the highest volume setting possible and tell me how it is.
Amateurs. I don't think any of you have had a P2R go off when your ear is only a couple feet away.
Just had deja vu of my middle school fire drill days. Same torturous sound, except the alarms were MT4s
Great video 😀👍👍
Awesome!
Great video, I like the sound of Wheelock MT
Same, Wheelock MT is short for Wheelock MT LSM-24 VFR
My school has these exact same alarms that do the exact same tone
Nice!
My dads old work building had newer MTs that also did continuous
We have gentex comander 3s in the classrooms and in the hallways we have wheelock mts set to continuous
Was for sure installed in the 90s
the hall of whistling fire alarms
We had one of these alarms in my Elementary School (Poinciana Elementary School of Naples, Florida) as well as Wheelock AS Horn Strobes and a SpectrAlert Classic, but the main alarms were Siemens U-HN and U-MMT horn strobes.
U just doxed ur location
Why are they are on continuous? Is it code to have them on continuous or is it because it's an older system?
The First Elementary School I attended, was built in 1996, and had a Simplex 4010 System but, I want to point out that the devices were screwed up. To put into context, they were Wheelock EHS-DL1’s mounted on the ceiling. But they were also out of sync😂🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️
Our middle school had those as well, though they were in sync
Reminds me of fire drills at 2 schools back when i was a kid. Only the alarms were gentex SHG's/GMS's, commander 2s and commander 3s (set on whoop). Still same though. continuous and unsynced strobes.
There's Going be Little Kids Crying For sure
Continuous sounds so much better on DC mechanical horns such as the 7002T.
Yup those were the devices in my school, but they were rebranded by Honeywell
These alarms are hideous..my middle school had these alarms with the horns in the classroom. I used to dread fire drills...I’m almost 30 now and can still remember the torture 😩
We have these in the choir room at my old high school
My college ONLY has simplex Truealerts and 4903s. Tbh I like simplex Truealerts they sound nice
The high school I go to uses the Cerberus Pyrotronics alarms that sounds like the Siemens UMMT and for some reason, one that's in one of the mens restroom is missing the clear part of the strobe cover.
Those are literally the same alarms my school has including a few Wheelock ZNS set to code 3, and they hurt!!!!
A lot of elementary school fire alarm systems were set on continuous.
A lot of bathrooms!
This is what my school uses.
My school has the same fire alarm system.
Tell me about it. My elementary school had several MTs on continuous along SpectrAlerts and L series. Also, in the gym, there were Edwards 89 something B horn strobes in there. However, the SpectrAlerts were set on code 3 high volume.
My elementary school had Gentex SHGs (3rd gen) commander 2s and commander 3s with one GMS outside in the back. The system was set on continuous with the commander 2s set on horn and the 3s set on whoop. Meanwhile my middle school had mostly Gentex GMS's with a few simplex 4903s also set on continuous. One thing both systems had in common was that no strobe was ever in sync. Man do I miss those days.
Are you referring to the Edwards 892B?
What’s type of panel did the building have? Also next WITF video will you activate the alarm?
Zachary Fleck ok but what’s the panel?
Pull station: Fire lite/ Notifier BG-10
What is this panel seen called? Is it a Gamewell Zans 400?
I don't believe I showed the panel in this video. I honestly don't remember what it was.
What is the panel of this alarm system?
Im guessing a Fire-Lite MS-4
Me: *having a normal day at school*
Satan the II *EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
SAFETECH has also posted a video if you want to see it. It makes my day!
Those poor childeren
Preschool days
Poor kids at this school because they’re eardrums are going to bleed.
One of the elementary schools I used to go to also had hornstrobes in the restrooms installed across from the stalls.
The poor children 😰
My old elementary school has these mann these were super loud
What's the panel?
-ECO
The Panel Might Be a Fire-Lite panel. Since Illinois tends to Install MT Devices with Fire Lite or Johnson Controls / Simplex Panels. This also looks like a recent Panel upgrade. I know this Residential I visited for Groups, Had a New install from bells to Wheelock MT(Vertical Strobed ones) and a Fire-Lite MS-4 installed since it was a house. They were on Continuous and the strobes were on Non-Sync pulse. We recently had Bell-Strobe combos till early 2019
Who ON EARTH installs THIS type of fire alarm in THIS type of application?
WHY CONTINUOUS
that was really loud omg i had to deal with this in A high school that i was at
Luckily my high school has EST Genesis and they're not bad at all
@@blueauraretriever i am glad
The high school I currently go to uses Cerberus Pyrotronic alarms that sounds like those Siemens UMMT.
@@sethhorst6158 Probably U-MHU or the pyrotronics multitones
The ones at my Walmart, though they sound like s!#$ now but back in the day the same exact sound.
What's Downstairs?
Aidan Cash yo mama
XtremeGaming Plays yo GamePlayer!
It's not as bad as u mhu mcs horns on continuous
torture
Aieeee
Imo these and their AS counterpart are worse than the Advance, simply bc of the frequency. It's one thing being obnoxiously loud like the advance, but the AS/MT's frequency level make it the most evil alarm out there
NO SYNC
WE STROBE LIKE MEN
Another thing. Why bother with MTs if you're just gonna set them on continuous? Why not AS or NS types?
GemCat well that might have been code back then. I don’t live in his area but in the NJ state, the code used to be continuous so we had MT’s until in kindergarten, they changed it to older integrities.
If you're going to use those in an elementary school at least set them on bell or chime the little kids have sensitive ears!
At least they aren’t truealerts
The original ones are lower pitch but if you listen to the new TrueAlert ES horn strobes they have a higher pitch almost sounds like a Wheelock horn.
I know. I had regular truealerts thtough high school, and had to put up with the ES’s in college
At least they’re not set to slow whoop and out of sync like my hs was
Its funny because my elementary school had it on continuous but middle and high school always had them set to code 3
Why do they have them set to continuous in an elementary school? Seems a bit brutal for elementary school kids. Maybe Hi/lo, bell or slow whoop would be less torturous?
They probably hate kids
This are loud
This is the worst alarm ever made because it’s so loud.
